PLEASE NOTE: our four cabins in Grand Lake and Estes Park are a 35 year family business. We are not a hotel, we do our best to make sure that every guest and group are happy. The cabins are in the mountains and therefore small furry and crawly friends may visit from time to time, especially in the late fall. All of our cabins are NO SMOKING inside or on the decks and patios, the Rocky Mountains are under constant fire danger and our cabins are all made of wood. We also want to respect the smells and preferences of other guests. If our onsite managers smell smoke of any type then the entire deposit is forfeit. Our cabins in Estes Park are on well systems. That means the sinks can have streaks when clean and the HOT TUBS can be off color as the minerals react with the cleaning chemicals. The water is safe to drink and very clean! PETS are allowed in BOTH cabins, however, we only cater to dogs and only very well behaved ones. This cabin can have 2 dogs, the other only 1. Please keep dogs crated when not home. We do not have dog runs at this time. Please clean up after dogs. We employ an additional cleaning service for pet dander and rug shampoo so that our allergic guests are also happy. We charge a $40 pet fee for EACH dog that is not usually reflected in the price quote. FIRE: we have gas fire pits at both houses, wood burning is not allowed in Estes Park vacation rentals. PARKING: we have room for 6 vehicles at each house, but we want to be good neighbors so we only permit 3 without contacting us before you book so we can make sure that both cabins aren't simultaneously full. CAMERAS: we have live closed circuit cameras on the driveways, the main decks, and the water front. These are for safety and security and are only accessed by the owner. There are no recording devices anywhere inside the cabins
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If reservations are cancelled within 6 months of check-in we keep a non-refundable 10% fee
50% if cancelled within 90 days
100% if cancelled within 30 days.
Our cabins book a year out, it's more difficult to make last minute arrangements so VRBO recommends getting their insurance against cancelations for medical and other last minute issues.

Nice house, great view, had wild life walking through the yard.

We arrived at the house surprised to see that one of the showers was taped off and we did not have many towels out. With 4 daughters....we might be in for a challenging week. I called the owner, he was equally surprised as well and within an hour someone was out to finish the work and grab a few towels.
We enjoyed the location (great view and we spent a lot of time on the deck).
While the house shows it's age. They are making improvements to the place (including with a recent AC installation, and remodeled downstairs bathroom), but it worked fine for our large family. We were close to downtown Estes Park but felt outside the crowded areas. We also enjoyed the trail and proximity to the marina and horse stables.
Not everything is ever perfect, but I appreciate the responsiveness of the owner.
Just a couple of things to keep in mind, the driveway is steep and relatively narrow, with 3 cars, we found it easier to park up top (or across the street in the dirt turnout).
All in all a great trip and would recommend.

Great views! Great space for a family. No foosball table anymore which was a small bummer as the kids wanted to play against each other but thats probably for a reason. That's really not a big deal as it was such a wonderful & cozy home to sit by the fireplace and enjoy family time. I'm happy we chose this location. Host was wonderful and checked in as well.đź’ś Highly recommend this home.

The hot tubs are not clean. Brown dirt ring leading to green colored water, Messaged owner who said they were cleaned. No, not clean enough to use unless you accept dirty water with brown ring on top sides of walls - that's not acceptable, No help resolving issue while we stayed Thursday to Monday. Oh afterwards he issued a small 2 digit credit/ lol. Broken screens. Dead mouse found under dresser. I wish I could load pictures and checked his reviews better, The place could be nice if he had cooperated with these issues while there. We rented it for a family wedding in that area. I won't stay there again, I guess he gets away with this . Just read deeper into reviews. I had to contact him to get the door code less than one hour before arrival,

I have a summary & pictures of the bad condition this property is in! How can I send U write up I left the owners & pictures? In all the Wonderful stays I’ve done with Ur business, this was a terribly kept home! Take this listing off Ur site or get a bad review of Ur very high standards!

The photos available from the wrap around deck were stunning. The house was perfect for our family vacation. Everyone went off and did their own thing during the day then came back for evening dinner and discussion of our day and time in the hot tub or fishing. Plentiful time for relaxing too.

The house location and view was fantastic!!!! We all enjoyed eating in the dining room together around the round table. It made our vacation wonderful time being able to enjoy each other at the house.❤️❤️

5day, 4night stay. Great views and house large enough for our whole family of ten to reside comfortably. Could use repairs, updates, and better/easier tv viewing. Very kind owners.

We had a family wedding in the Rocky Mountains and 12 of us stayed at this property right in Estes Lake. What a fantastic view and the location was convenient to all. We relaxed on the wrap around deck, took advantage of the walking path along the lake, headed into town with a short drive to the town center and headed into Rocky Mountain National Park. The kids also enjoyed the movie screen and selection of DVDs. Mike (the owner) was accommodating and responsive for any questions we had. Highly recommend this location for a stay in the mountains.

We had a lovely time in this house. The house was cozy with a lovely view. Perfect to hunker down between Christmas and New Years. The listing says 12 people, but this was tight even with three kids under 10. The kitchen was well stocked, but again but just barely for 12 people so we had to do a lot of dishes. Had a little trouble regulating temperature between upstairs and downstairs and while the hot tub was lovely to have, it needed maintenance. We called about this as likely the holidays meant they were off schedule but this was never resolved while we were there. Overall a lovely stay but with a few minor issues.

Great Location of Cabin located right on Estes Lake which is a few minute drive from Stanley Hotel and the “town” with all the restaurants, bars, and shops. 15 minute drive to entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin Overlooks the mountains and the lake. Plenty of parking space. 5 bedrooms that comfortably fit 12 people. Awesome projector room for sports and/or movie night. Kitchen very clean and spacious. The house had everything we needed to enjoy a getaway in the wintry season. Hot tub was very nice, clean, and is outside overlooking lake as well.

We actually stayed at the adjoining property after a mix up on our arrival date, but both properties are close to town and have beautiful views of Lake Estes and RMNP. The cabin was comfortable and had plentiful room for our group of 7. All of the beds were very comfortable, and the living rooms, had a lots of games and books for entertainment. The kitchen and dining area afforded a lot of space for us to cook together and hang out around the table.

Had a great time, location was great.

My family stayed here for my wedding and we had the best time at this cabin. It was clean, well equipped, and the owner was very responsive to my texts/calls because my all wasn’t working. We loved this property and will definitely stay here again as we come to Estes at least 3 times a year!
4.6
Fantastic property. Super- convenient location. Beautifully furnished with a gorgeous view of the mountains and lake.
4.6
Wonderful layout for families. Enjoyed the projection TV downstairs and had wonderful picnic area with BBQ for groups. Very close to town. Had some deferred maintenance but a well stocked kitchen. All in all, great!

We had some magical moments sitting on the deck and watching Mother Nature on parade. Elk and deer walking by so close we could almost touch them. Birds riding the high air currents watching for prey, then lightning-fast swooping down to catch fish in the lake. Eagles, herons, hawks, seagulls; we never tired of watching this drama play out.
The house itself has some truly lovely aspects to it. Gorgeous high ceilings with giant beams, rock fireplaces, all the things you might expect of a mountain lakeside home. Plenty of cooking, dining, and kitchenware; fluffy white towels, tons of sofas and chairs to curl up in, lap blankets, etc. The owner was easy to contact, friendly, and responsive to a last minute request.
Areas of improvement for the owner would be 1) better quality bed and higher quality sheets in the downstairs master. My experience was that the mattress wasn't very comfortable and the fitted sheet kept on coming off, and 2) add screens to the downstairs windows, especially in the bedroom. I opted not to open the windows without screens because of the mosquitos that were sometimes nearby and this made the room feel a bit stuffy. And when one is in mountains next to a lake, it's a real treat to open the window and enjoy the breeze and the sounds of nature.
Beyond that, our stay was delightful, and we'd be happy to stay there again.

We had a really fabulous stay here. The house is beautiful, location is perfect, and view is absolutely awe inspiring. That being said, as mentioned in previous reviews, there are problems with the upkeep of the house. Communication was subpar as we had to call the host for check-in instructions the night before check-in due to not having received any information at all. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and I will always looks back and remember an amazing stay.
4.6
We had a great stay at Mike's beautiful lakeview cabin in Estes Park! It was right on the water- allowing for gorgeous views while eating out on the deck picnic tables, or under the stars in the hot tub at night. We often saw bald eagles diving for fish in the marina. The house was roomy, and very comfortable. There are enough bathrooms for everyone to share. The kitchen is big- with lots of counter space and well stocked for cooking. The washer and dryer were handy, as we had all kinds of weather. The fireplaces were nice when it was chilly. The projection room made for good movie nights. The location can't be beat- as there is privacy, as well as close convenience to town. Yes- a few minor repairs are needed, but nothing that interferes with the wonderful experience of staying here! We hope to return soon, and often.

The property gives you an incredible view from the deck that changes throughout the day. The interior of the property would be served well by some TLC in some of the spaces.
4.6
Fun! Nice place but needs some maintenance.
4.6
Great place, easy to find and check in. We rented both homes on the property for a family reunion and we loved them! The view is gorgeous and the houses were more than large enough. We had a couple issues: we saw several mice inside the larger house, one of the ovens was not working, and the property manager did not communicate as readily as we would have liked (I reached out on VRBO to the property manager about these issues and didn't hear a reply).
Otherwise, a great place for family gatherings and we were very happy with our selection of these properties.

Beautiful Estes Park Property
The space is truly unbelievable - the lake view is incredible and the house is large and spacious. We had a wonderful stay there.

Location location location!
Our 6 day stay with our family was in such a beautiful and prime location over the 4th of July! Upkeep is needed in almost every room in the home. We had problems with appliances but the owner was very responsive and willing to help. The home could use some TLC but we still enjoyed our stay.

Family Vacation 2022
Location was good, great views, the cabin was very nice, the deck and area around the cabin needed some attention, but overall we had a fantastic time. Great cabin for families, lots of room.

Our stay was delightful as we were with family and the house does have a magnificent view with a nice deck. BUT (dreaded BUT) reading the reviews I was optimistic the negative reviews were just nitpicky and blown out of proportion. I hate to say it but they were pretty spot on. Every room in the house has some kind of maintenance issue, it wasn't super clean and the kitchen was a hot mess. We decided it was more important our family was able to be together and we would just looked past the imperfections.

Needs updating
Views are amazing but needs lots to be fixed

Great scenery of the lake and mountains. Plenty of room. Owner very responsive to texts. Only negative would be some areas of house in need of repair/updating.

Graduation Trip
We came for my daughter's graduation. We booked both cabins. The views are breath taking. More than enough space with both cabins. The full kitchen and games were perfect. Thank you!!!

Loved the location by the lake. The view is hard to beat.

We had a group of 8 up here to celebrate my fathers birthday. The house was a great size to accommodate all of us, the view of the lake was spectacular, and the location put us close to town and RMNP. Hot tub & snowshoes were nice additions. However, when we arrived the house was 42 degrees. After traveling to get here, it was not enjoyable waiting 5 hours for the house to heat up. Considering we cooked all of our meals at home, some of the cookware was warped and could use an upgrade. The main living room downstairs seems to have a lightbulb missing & the upstairs lock pad wasn’t working. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. I would recommend this place & would be happy to visit again.

We had an amazing time with our 7 adults, 3 kiddos and 1 perky dog staying at the property. When we arrived at check-in the crazy wind had blown out the pilot lights on the fireplaces and someone came over very quickly and remedied the problem. It was very cold, windy and snowy outside so we didn’t get into town much except for the Mountain Coaster which was very fun. On the way back to the property we got to stop and admire a herd of elk right down the street. We would love to come back in the summer sometime. A great time had by all!
