I really like the house. To be honest, I never got a chance to explore all that it offered, but the view was wonderful from the living/dining room and the surroundings great for a walk/jog. We had a wonderful relaxed time visiting some very good wineries, and also just relaxing at the house. Could have stayed much longer. Alan (owner) was in close touch the whole time. A great little vacation!

This house has everything you need to have fun at the lake and is great for all ages. The views from the deck are breathtaking.

Very nice property. From the instructions, it seems as if the renters had bad experiences in the past, which is really sad. The rental was very clean, location spectacular, truly million dollar views. We had a wonderful time. We hope that future renters can respect their property as their own so that the warnings don't have to seem so restrictive and negative. This is a lovely place and should be treated as such.

We had an amazing time at the property for New years! We rented the house and studio. There were 7 adults and 2 dogs. We had all the comforts of home and more, and in a BEAUTIFUL location. We brought food and ate all our meals at the house because we didn’t want to leave.
Kayaking was a super fun and we got to see lots of bird life. I hope we have the opportunity to come back soon.

What a terrific getaway. The property is a fun layout. We would come back in a heartbeat. Winerys aren't too far and there is a grocery store upbthe road. If you want to explore the whole lake area, then this is the place for you. With lakefront access. It worked well for our family get together. Smiles for days of an amazing fall season.

This lake house is a perfect place to just and relax and enjoy to quietness of the lake. The view was amazing and the deck has shade all day long. We had one small problem and the host had someone over within 45 mins to fix it. The host is great and really cares that you have a good time at their lake house. Overall a great place to stay.

The home has everything you need for a family of four and their dog. There’s plenty to do even if you don’t have a boat or a jet ski. The views of the lake are amazing and on windy days you can hear the crashing of the waves right outside the windows. Also loved hoping in the jacuzzi when it cooled down in the evenings as well as the downstairs game room. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great property with tons of room for everyone. Wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy both front and back. Really appreciated the gated yards so the dog could go outside unattended. Hot tub was fantastic.

This is a lakeside rental where most people would presumably come to enjoy the lake right? We drove 9 hours each way to spend 5 days on a lake. Instead we got smelly sludge. Each day, as soon as the sun hits the water the algae began to grow and become sludge for hundreds of yards out. Later the algae dies off and begins to emit a unique bouquet of moist soil and rotting garbage that rides the wind up to the home for your enjoyment throughout the day and then lingers overnight until the cycle starts again the next morning. If this sounds like a nuisance it is...but at times it can be much worse for people and animals who come in contact. Do a search on "algae blooms on California waterways" or "cyanobacteria clear lake" and make an informed judgment for yourself. There was zero mention of this on the host's VRBO rental page (and still not as of the date of this review). The only place algae is mentioned is in the rental rules that are sent to you by email two days before your stay when it's far too late to cancel. Do your homework and decide for yourself. We didn't have that option and it made our lakeside stay at times miserable. We could not go near the water, in fact we had to drive to the other side of the lake and rent a party boat for $700 just to enjoy 4 hours of clean water.
Other Issues:
Home - smells old. Cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. Ants in (not on...in) bed. Mouse poop all over stairs.
Game room - Smelled so bad we didn't use.
Beach - Garbage and dead fish sprinkled in to add to the bouquet of the rotting algae.
Water - This home uses a tank that wasn't adequately filled prior to our stay so we were without water for most of one day. We had to put water from hot tub in toilets to flush.
Electricity - Outage for much of one day. No emergency candles or adequate flashlights available. We had to spend $70 for lanterns to see to make dinner.
I have found that these blue green algae blooms are not a year round thing. Blooms occur mostly during the summer months and some years are worse than others. Of course this is not the host's fault and we do not blame them. It's the lack of communication about it that we don't understand so I'd just like others to be aware of the possibility. The host did refund a small portion of our rental fee which we did not ask for. In my opinion they do not grasp the severity of the algae problem, how to adequately prep a vacation rental or how much all of these issues affected our vacation.

Clear Lake
House location and amenities couldn’t be better. One draw back is parking with boat trailers. Recommend anyone who is taking a boat to this house use Konocti Harbor to store the boat trailers then there is sufficient room for parking. Great location and very peaceful Thanks again Alan.

The house was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The views of the lake are great and the back patio allows for hours of relaxation. The only drawback is the water is quite choppy and their is alot of algae so paddleboarding and kayaking are not easy from the property. If you have a boat, no problem, there is lots of lake to explore.

Alan and this house are both fantastic. Staying here was a great experience. It comes with all the extras - hot tub, kayaks (both hard and inflatable), towables, life jackets, pool table, pinball, and all the board games you could possibly imagine. We used everything. While we were there we had a boat overnight one night. The dock needed to be lowered. A quick note to Alan and 2 hours later it was lowered. Very quick. We had 4 guests join us for a few days - to make a total of 8. Four of those were kids 5-8 years old. We were able to squeeze those into the house. Alan was very accommodating. The swamp cooler works well, but it’s not like a forced air A/C unit. The air doesn’t distribute that well. The only bad area was the front bunk bed room - other rooms were fine. The kids were fine, but a little hot. Every night (and often during the day) the deer came out to eat the figs from the beach. It was a lot of fun watching and listening to them. Overall, this was a great experience. We will be back.

Great place with great views and lots to do.
We were there and when it was very hot, (100 every day), so unfortunately the water gets very green at those temps, (with algae), but the house and location were great. Alan is a very good owner who responds quickly and makes sure you have a great stay. We spent a lot of time on the awesome deck, (amazing sunsets), and also down in the game room...vintage pinball machine and a very nice pool table. The house has everything you need so we did all our own cooking/bbqing and didn't have to go out once for dinner. Would definitely go back but it would be either before or after it gets too hot. Thanks.

Living the lake life
The house was perfect. The views are some of the best on the lake. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Plenty of beach chairs & floats. Beds were comfy and there was room for everyone.
We hope to stay again.

BROTHERS REUNION
THIS HOUSE WAS PERFECT FOR OUR REUNION. FISHING, CLOSE TO OUR COUSIN AND THE VIEWS WERE EXCELLENT. WE HAD PLENTY OF ROOM TO SPREAD OUT AND HAVE OUR OWN PRIVACY WHEN NEEDED. WILL DO IT AGAIN.

This rental property was perfect for our little fishing trip. Didn’t have a boat but Fisht off the dock and caught some bass!

Beautiful & relaxing stay
We had a great time here at the lake house. The view was incredible, especially from the master bedroom. The back porch was the best part. Easy access to the water. The only negative was the AC didn't circulate very well in the house. The room with the bunk beds would get pretty stuffy which made it hard to sleep. Overall a really nice property in a great location.

The Best of Clear Lake
We loved this property! There was a total of seven of us. Two families with three teenagers and four adults . We stayed four nights. The house is very well equipped, the best equipped house and kitchen we've experienced at Clear Lake. The covered deck off the kitchen / living room area is fantastic. The views from the deck and house are amazing. It is a very quiet neighborhood/street and you can hear the water lapping on the shoreline from the house. There are a lot of different areas to spread out and relax and a game room to enjoy. One highlight for me was just falling asleep for a nap in the hammock in the shade outside by the water...first time I've done that before! There are extra life vests and water toys. My wife and I stayed in the detached studio which was really nice as well. Alan was very responsive and unlike other places on Clear Lake there were no problems with the basics such as water, air conditioning, etc. Everything worked, knives were sharp, great appliances, kitchen was in order, etc. I'm out fishing and don't pay a lot of attention to the details but the ladies who were with us raved about this house and the all of the little details. The location is kind of cool too because you can boat to the cove around the corner to Richmond Park Pub and Grill. Or drive to Kelseyville, or a short drive into Clear Lake. We really loved this home . And working with Alan, who was very responsive, was a pleasure. The dock has "mooring whips" which I had never used before. They were great for keeping the boat off the dock even in the wind. Caught some nice bass in the cove as well. I highly recommend this house.

Nice Location
There were a lot more rules than we have experienced at other places. But nice part of the lake with beautiful views.

Review from Taylor
I would recommend this property as it was exactly as advertised. If you want nice accommodations right on the lake this is it. Great veranda with lots of comfortable chairs and a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. Spent almost all the time sitting and talking there. Very nice kitchen with everything you need. You will need the studio if you want three full bedrooms as the bedroom with bunk beds is essentially a kids room. Nice big living room common area that is open to the kitchen. With GPS it is easy to find. I would buy all your groceries before you arrive as the nearest decent store is a good 20+ minutes one way. The owner checked in to see if everything was ok - nice touch.

Great house & location
We've stayed at this property several times and will keep going back. The house is roomy, clean, well stocked and in a great location. Added benefits that make a positive difference for us are the use of the boat dock, the studio, the kayaks, the hot tub and our favorite -- the covered deck off the back of the house that looks over the lake. We spend a lot of time on the deck and it is so pleasant. The back of the house also has plenty of windows so even when you are inside, the kitchen and living areas look out towards the lake. Beautiful spot on the lake. The owner, Alan is attentive and has always dealt timely with all of the minor issues we've encountered. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable home
We enjoyed our stay at this home. The living areas are very comfortable, as are the bedrooms. Kitchen well-stocked. We also rented the studio cottage which is adorable. The only negative from my point of view was the distance to Lakeport and Clearlake but if you're there to swim, boat or fish that shouldn't matter too much.

Great location. Quiet and peaceful setting. Loved the beachfront access to the lake. House was fantastic with every amenity we needed. So happy this place allows dogs.

Perfect place for our family trip!
Our group of 5 adults and 3 kids (under age 8) completely enjoyed our 2 night getaway. The house is stocked with everything you need to cook, sleep and relax comfortably. It's very kid friendly with lots of board games, books and movies, and we spent a ton of time outside playing in the lake and relaxing on the private beach. The house was spacious and we especially enjoyed hanging out on the back deck listening to the waves crash on the shore. Alan was very responsive to questions leading up to our trip and during our stay. We wish we would have stayed longer!

Comfortable and quiet house!
Nice lake view, clean, comfortable and well-maintained with everything you need to enjoy a really good time on the lake.
We had some minor issue with the TV but the owner was quick to answer and to fix it.
I recommend this place.
