The house itself was wonderful for my family. We had plenty of room to enjoy our meals, watch television and play games. The problem was when I opened the front door, to my left there was a house under construction. When I open the patio door there were two houses under construction. As you can imagine the noise at times was very loud. Even though during the day we did not spend a lot of time in the home, when we arrived back to the home and wanted to prepare for dinner and relax it was not possible. I communicated our concerns to the management company many times. We were told that there would be no construction work during the week of our stay but that did not turn out to be true. The property also has no outdoor space. The management company did set us up across the street with a fire pit and some chairs which came in handy one night when we made s’more‘s. To summarize, the house is not represented properly and there was not full disclosure of the surroundings. The photo did not reveal what we would be dealing with. It did not ruin our vacation but it was an annoyance. If we had planned to be in the home during the day or need to rest it would have been impossible.

This was our first time visiting South Haven and we loved it! It is a great little beach town.
The house was great for our family; we had a group of 16 and we had ample space for everyone. We liked that it was new and updated. It was stocked with plenty of dishes and utensils for cooking, etc. We did find some areas that they could improve and we made these suggestions to the rental company.
The house is in a new community and is currently surrounded by construction...so beware if you are visiting in the next few months. We did not know about this construction until about 2 hours prior to check-in.
The location of the house is great. It is within walking distance to Newcome Beach and the community pool. We were happy to have rented a golf cart because Newcome Beach is very small and is private property on both sides. We preferred North Beach and South Beach, which are both short drives, but not within walking distance with all your beach gear.
Overall, wonderful vacation. If it had not been for the insane amount of construction and short notice received I would have rated 5 stars.

We loved the house and the area! It was perfect for a family vacation with lots of kids! We were very disappointed, however, that there was major construction occurring unbeknownst to us. Our entire back yard was a big crater, totally unusable and a safety hazard to children.
