About this apartment rental

Visit our recently renovated top floor end unit, Monkey Sea, Monkey Dune. Enjoy relaxing views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Island from both of our spacious decks. The redesigned floor plan provides each bedroom with a private bath. We also added brand new beds, appliances, bathrooms, fresh paint, and updated furniture.

Our getaway is located in the sociable Dockside Landing community, situated on Ocean Isle Beach's west end, where there's something to do for everyone! The beach is a short walk away from the condo. Launch your kayak or stand-up paddle board right from the boat launch on the property. Fish or catch blue crab from the onsite docks.

Several restaurants, a coffee shop, ice cream on the beach, and a mini-putt course are a leisurely one mile walk or drive from the condo. Charter a boat, rent a bike or kayak for a mild adventure of your own choosing right from the center of the island.

Nearby on the mainland, experience any of the dozens of golf courses, visit the many attractions on Myrtle Beach, or stop in Calabash for some of the best seafood on the East coast!

We offer a fully equipped kitchen, electric range oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer in unit. The condo also has streaming TV, high-speed internet, WiFi, and DVD/BluRay player.

Worth the highest rating in every category! Owners communicated so well with phone call, email, physical binder (with great photos and maps). And they even had a “visitors’ package” ready with two trash bags, a kitchen sponge, etc… all neighbors at the complex were equally as friendly and welcoming. One lady let us borrow an umbrella. These owners could teach a course, “How to run a successful beach rental.”

The property was as the owner described but be forewarned that the 3rd floor is actually 4 flights of steps (and they get harder to climb each day). The views from both the front and the back decks were awesome, as well as the interior of the condo were as described. We had some issues getting the television on local stations and Roku but I think that was "operator error". The front entry door was difficult to unlock and lock - even with the instructions left on the glass. Overall, I would recommend the property as it is as described in the pictures.

Nice property, easily housed 5 ppl wo any issues. The stairs were challenging after a full day of running around but the views from both decks made up for it. Clean, updated and comfortable. good tv options and good wifi.

My family of 4 (2 littles) had the best time at Ocean Isle staying at Monkey Sea, Monkey Dune! Craig gave us all the info we needed for our stay to make it an easy check in/out process. We had plenty of space. Everything we could possibly need was supplied at the condo. The whole place was clean. The walk to the beach was easy and short. We truly loved it and can’t wait to stay again in the future! Thanks Craig and Liz!

My wife our 2 kids 8 and 10 years old found this to be a perfect stay for us. Owners communicated well with us leading up to and during our stay which helped a lot. The unit was clean next to the pool and a very easy walk to a great beach. Will go down as one of our favorite vacations so far. Thanks for everything.

We had a great experience at this OIB spot! The host was very responsive and accommodating throughout the whole rental process and stay. We loved the views from the back porch of the sound as well as down the beach. The place was very comfortable and clean. We could tell the host makes updates and cares a lot about their slice of paradise! Hope to come back again soon!

This is the second time we have stayed at Monkey Sea, Monkey Dune. Craig makes check in and check out extremely easy. He even lets renters know if cleaning is done early to allow for an earlier check in time, which is awesome. If a guest has any questions or concerns, Craig responds promptly. There is plenty of space for 4-6 guests and the walk to the beach is short. The convenience of providing towels and linens along with not requiring guests to wash them prior to departure is an added bonus. Definitely recommended for anyone with young or older children, as there is a pool onsite as well.

Craig is awesome and has an amazing place to stay. Best view, location and communication. The place was one of the best equipped houses we have ever been in. Very clean and the perfect size for our family of 4. This was our families favorite place to stay out of the 6 years we have been to OIB. Thanks Craig!

My family had an excellent week at Monkey Sea, Monkey Dune. The views are spectacular -- especially of Jinks Creek at sunrise and sunset. While the hike up the many stairs can be exhausting by the end of the day, it is worth it. The kitchen is well stocked. The 3 of us had plenty of room to stretch out on the couches. We loved the short walk to the beach and the boardwalk beach entrance made it easy to push the beach cart. Just one suggestion -- do not try to launch an inflatable kayak or SUP at the dock. There are many oysters and even at high tide you risk slicing your SUP/kayak. We saw people with regular kayaks who had no problems at high tide. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The property was very clean. You could really tell that the owners had put a lot of effort in thinking of ways to make you feel at home. Great location, we loved the docks the property had on the intercoastal waterway and that we were such a short walk from the ocean. This was a very family friendly spot! We would definitely come back.

Property is in a perfect location to enjoy either beach or pool. Full time owners are all very kind and helpful. Property provides enough room for many people. We had 4 plus 3 visitors for a day and we were not crowded. All the amenities in the unit provide those special touches. Highly recommend!

The property location is excellent in relation to the beach and surrounding areas including the main shopping, activities and attractions. Although there were stairs to climb, the view made up for the exercise. The property is the end unit which provides views from several directions. The property was equip with linen and the kitchen was stocked with the essentials needed to vacation with family. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.

We came back because we love the location and the property. Three flights of stairs is tough for carrying luggage but the view of the inlet is great especially at sunset. Craig was great providing info prior to check in and we were able to check in just before noon which was also great. Condo is decorated nicely and kitchen had plenty of items available we didn’t have to buy at the store which was appreciated.

The property had everything we needed, an it was updated compared to other units we have stayed in during past visits. The linen service was also convenient. It's quite a hike to the top floor, but you could not beat the view. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the inlet each evening. Great view. The owners are very attentive to your needs, and answered right away when I had questions. We would stay here again. Thanks!

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The view of the sound was extra nice while enjoying coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. Walk to the beach was quick and easy. We brought a small collapsible wagon to make transporting chairs and cooler easier. The property has a hose to make spraying salt and sand off of chairs and stuff easy at the end of the day. Neighbors were quiet and kind, parking was plentiful. The property was nicely decorated and clean. Linens included was especially nice. I highly recommend this property and will stay again if the opportunity arises. We had a lovely time!

The property was very clean when we arrived. The decor is perfect for the beach. We loved the location. It is very close to a nice beach access. The pool was a good size. The kids enjoyed an evening fishing off the dock during high tide. We would definitely choose this place again.

My husband, 2 daughters and I had a great stay here. It was convenient that bed linens and some towels were provided. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, altbough having some tupperware-like containers or large glass bowls to put food in would be helpful in the future. We specifically wanted to stay at a place that had a pool and we were not disappointed. It was not overly crowded and the beach is only a short walk across the road. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I traveled with our two young girls and our sitter. We love Ocean Isle, it’s a great family beach. We took two cars and rented a golf cart to drive back and forth to see family staying in Island Park about a mile down the road. There was plenty of space for the vehicles and golf cart and we were in a great location - right next to the pool and a few blocks from the beach. Craig was the best host I’ve had - very proactive in providing us with details ahead of time, checked on us when we arrived, and responsive to questions. The beds were very comfortable too and we were able to watch Netflix.

Overall the property is very nice! Everything was comfortable. The appliances all worked properly and there were plenty of useful items provided and/or left behind by previous guests. The only thing that I would recommend is providing access to the ground floor storage. We haul a lot to the beach and having to take it up and down the stairs or put wet, sandy items in the car is not ideal. Craig and Liz are wonderful hosts and great communicators. They responded almost immediately to the few small issues we had.

This was our first time visiting ocean isle beach. We wanted something more quiet and laid back, not looking for city traffic or loud parties. The beach is lovely and not overcrowded. MSMD provided a beautiful view of the sound every morning, with a vivid sunset over the water every evening. Upon arrival, the property was clean and well-stocked with misc. items and a care package to hold you over until you can get to the grocery store. With a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and WiFi, we wanted for nothing. We had a great stay and would most definitely like to return.

Wonderful location for a beach get away. The condo was clean and well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked and the furniture was comfy. You are steps from the ICW (bring fishing poles) and a short, easy walk to the beach. Parking is a little tricky as full time residents are a bit particular about “their” spots but the overflow lot was fine. Craig gave very good instructions regarding access to that lot (as well as helpful recommendations for local spots). You are four flights of stairs up, but it’s totally worth the climb. I highly recommend and would love to return.

Great place, perfect weather and great location. Super short walk to beach and kids enjoyed the pool as well. Check in process was a breeze and owners are Very helpful and communicative. Condo has everything you’ll need. We had to reschedule our vacation due to a hurricane and Craig was very understanding and helpful to get us rebooked for another week.
