We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable home on Lake Huron. We especially enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood, the large backyard and the multiple sitting areas for socializing. Would book again.

Location was good. We played cards in the gazebo on the windy cold days and evenings.

My kids and I had the most memorable stay - so much so we’ve booked it again for next year! The cottage is exactly as the listing states. The property was extremely clean and all communication with Lesley was immediate. It’s spacious, private and the gazebo comes in handy on rainy days. 5 star listing!

We really enjoyed our stay with Lesley. The cottage was very clean. We appreciated all of the games and activities that she offered. This is one of the best VRBO that we have rented.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location, tons of space in and around the cottage were fantastic.
The pictures don’t do the place justice.

We had a great time. The house was clean and very well appointed (all the household goods you need plus lots of “cottage” toys/games/internet/tv packages to make sure no one gets bored. Great backyard and deck. There is a semi-private beach access a few houses down the road which has shallow entry into Lake Huron which was great for our ~ 3 + 7 year old kids. Easy to find. Lots of parking.

We always ate outside on their very large deck. Did family jigsaw puzzles in their large gazebo. Large back yard was for bonfires, quiet reading spots under the trees and of course games (bocci ball etc.) Quiet, peaceful and close to such a variety of ammenitites. Theatre, beaches and the Pinery.

Beautiful house and great location
We stayed here with my husband and two young kids. Lesley and Peter were incredible hosts. They were always accessible and clear instructions were left to make our stay comfortable. There's very reliable internet where I was able to work in the mornings. Lots of board games and outdoor games to keep you entertained.
The house was spacious with 3 bedrooms (2 double beds; 1 queen; 1 queen) and we wished we invited another family with us! Loved the balcony in the master and worked there every morning.
The kitchen is great and everything was clean and equipped. There's a beautiful backyard with a fire pit, enclosed gazebo and deck. Loved the small wading pool for kids and super hot days.
When the kids went to bed, we played pool into he garage and I rocked out to RockBand ok the Wii which brought me some notalgia to a past life.
When we arrived, the house was very clean. The location is great, with Blue Point Beach access about 10 mins walk. It can be quite wavy and the shore is rocky. Ipperwash beach is about 20 mins drive away and other fun things to do in the area. It was really a beach house.
We had a great time and thank you for having us.

Nice house in a beautifull region
Beautiful proprty with all what you need and very clean!
We spent a week there, adults and kids loved everything, the house, the neighborhood, everyone had an amazing experience, the place is just awesome!! There is a small beach for a quick swim, a few houses away, but if you want something serious the Grand Bend Beach and Canatara Beach are ideal. People are so friendly.
It's a perfect place for a family getaway!!
Thanks for the beautiful memories!!

Great family beach getaway
We stayed here for a week with our family of four, and had a great time. The place was clean, well provisioned with games and things to do. The community small beach was just a short walk away and kids enjoyed themselves. Ipperwash Beach was about 17 minutes away and is the main Beach we went to on outings. Really friendly neighbourhood, and great for biking and walking. Host Lesley was super fast to answer any questions we had, and even left us a nice welcome package with wine & s'mores. Definitely a more laid back locale - not super close to tons of restaurants and other things but anything seemed to be within 15 minutes if you chose to go out or get groceries etc. Backyard was very nice and large and the enclosed Gazebo was good for night time games and entertaining. Overall, great experience.

Better than advertised!
Lesley has an amazing property. Better than we could have imagined. The pictures don’t do it justice!!! All the details are taken care of - better than a hotel. Lesley is a considerate host and good communication. The neighbourhood is so quiet and friendly. The beach is private and great for kids. We had a blast and would recommend 10/10.

Relaxing place to stay
Nice cottagey charm inside. Beautiful views of Lake Huron

The house is lovely and spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy yourself. The beds are pretty good with decent linen. The beach is a short walk away. The tennis court is just as close (bring your own racquets). This place was lovely to spend time at and we treated this home as if it was our own – it was a very relaxing time. Now for the downside. We had problems with plumbing on multiple occasions caused by blockages in both the sewerage and grey water pipes. We notified Paul & Lesley of these issues 4 days after arriving. Paul came out and cleared the toilet that was blocked and let us know that it should be fine to use. Paul also told us that there was a family reunion hosted at the house prior to our arrival with approx. 30 people. Approx 1 week later we had more problems with the same toilet not flushing, the upstairs toilet was leaking and the dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen and the kitchen sink filled with water. The dishwasher leaked on the Sat, Sun & on Mon & the 3 of us who stayed cleaned up all of the water (18hrs of work between the 3 of us) – there is no mop so we had to use clean towels to soak up the water, then go outside and wring them out and then continue to do this back and forth until the area was dry. We then did sanitation washes to ensure the towels were sufficiently cleaned. We are currently disputing five hundred dollars of additional cleaning fees and accusations of smoking inside which we did not do and which we do not believe are justified in any way. This is in addition to the hundred and fifty of cleaning fees. We have tried to resolve these issues directly with Lesley & Paul but they dismissed our concerns, and will now not communicate with us and told us to go ahead and report it to VRBO. We have no other reason to believe that the damage deposit is a way of Paul and Lesley recouping the costs of calling a plumber out (issues which clearly stem from the 30 guests who stayed at their house prior to our arrival) and also for Lesley's cleaning. We were advised the cleaning fee is for “3-hours and its only to flip bedding, wash floors and bathrooms". If it takes longer to clean a house of this size (expected during a pandemic) then the charge should be upfront and not claimed after the fact. This has completely put a dampener on our experience and the three thousand dollars we invested in staying here and therefore we can no longer recommend because of how unreasonable the hosts are being.

Wish we never had to leave!
We had an amazing time! The home had everything we needed and more. Both my 2 and 12 yr old we’re thoroughly entertained. There was so much to do in the area and the view alone when we arrived was breathtaking and perfect to put the whole family in relax mode. Would definitely stay here again and again. Thank you soooo much!

Vacation August 9-20
We had a wonderful vacation. The home is spacious, garden is a great size and we enjoyed sitting in the gazebo. There are amazing views of the lake from the front of the house. The neighbourhood is very friendly and there is a park, tennis court and a basketball net close by that my children enjoyed using. They have a lot of fun outdoor and indoor games which we really enjoyed playing. They also have a wii and a pool table.
We enjoyed spending time at the beach nearby in addition to Pinery Provincial Park, Ipperwash beach (where we rented kayaks), Rock Glen Falls, Mystery Falls and Cantara Beach. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful home and great location.

amazing
Great time! The nieghbourhood is amazing and quiet. Truthfully my husband and I want to move there after our visit. The cottage is filled with so much to do, we played games, completed puzzles. I have young children who enjoyed every minute of being there. Thank you so much.

Perfect family holiday
Nice and quiet. Great view of the lake! Beach access isn’t great if you have little kids And the water gets deep pretty quick but for our older kids it was perfect. Lots of indoor and outdoor games as well!

Very relaxing and comfortable place
Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Although we were limited on what outside and community activities we could do because of the current situation with Covid-19, we still managed to keep ourselves entertained. Ended up making lots of use of the BBQ and the backyard. Had many pleasant mornings sipping my coffee while sitting in the shade out front. Internet connection was steady enough for me to remotely work when I needed to. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Close to beach cottage.
The cottage was very well set up with supplies and linens.
Very clean inside and outside.
There were many areas where we could sit outside, always a place in the shade.
We had a great view from the master bedroom of the lake. Lots of games and activities for the kids.

Great Place to Unwind
Great place to stay for a week away. The cottage is close to a couple small beaches that aren't very busy. The property itself has plenty of room to gather together or have alone time, both indoors and outside.
We spent most of our time in the large gazebo in the backyard catching up with our friends and family. There is also a propane fireplace and a wood burning firepit.
There are grocery stores about a 10 minute drive away and Grand Bend is about half an hour away. Plenty of golfing within a short drive. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood and everyone is friendly. The owners stocked the house with all the supplies needed for the week and were very helpful with any questions.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
