Escape to your own private, country beach house paradise! The house is a 6-bedroom, 4-bath, two-story home on an acre beach lot with an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean and an all sport court (pickleball, basketball, and badminton) in a fenced compound. Each floor has a primary bedroom overlooking the ocean and there is a full kitchen on each floor so it is designed to accommodate 2 families. *Note- there is no access between floors inside the home. *AC added to 4 bedrooms!

There is also an outdoor dining area that seats 10 under the trees for that perfect BBQ. There are beautiful views of the ocean from the wrap-around decks. 1. The Hawaiian Islands have some of the most remote tropical rainforests in the world. Nevertheless, like any moist and fertile environment, you may find some ants, mosquitoes, roaches and critters like little geckos that share this beautiful world with humans. To keep out bugs, remember to close the doors right after entering. Don't leave food or crumbs on counters or tables and avoid eating at the bed because ants are really smart and fast.
2. Outdoor cameras at the property. Location will be disclosed when guests arrive. Please contact caretaker about this.
3. Due to the proximity to the ocean, the salt air can accelerate the deterioration of metal surfaces, appliances, and other materials in and around the home. We want to ensure a comfortable stay and maintain the quality of our beachfront properties.
4. Please be aware that while we conduct regular maintenance and inspections to address these issues, some signs of wear and tear may still be present. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve these beautiful homes. Moani Kai was a wonderful family friendly place to stay with a beautiful beach front view!
The view was incredible, the relaxed atmosphere of that side of the island was so great, Carole was very friendly and accommodating and helped us when we needed additional pack and plays for the grandchildren. We loved the hot tub, the sport court, the beach, the porch, the barbecue grill and table set up for family dinners was awesome and we loved the atmosphere in the evenings when we turned on the lights around the dinner table and the trees nearby that were lit, it was really very relaxing and inviting. Thanks so much for making our stay such a pleasant one!

"Great home, quiet location, helpful caretaker" This home was great for 6 couples celebrating our father's 80th birthday. The house was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of space for 12 adults to visit together, and cozy nooks for individuals to read and enjoy the property. The weather on this side of the island was very windy while we were there. My brother was able to kite board on the beach outside the back door. However, the last day was still and perfect. Carol, the care taker, was friendly and provided great ideas for beaches, food, hikes, etc. Thanks Carol and Lavish Getaways for making this such a great vacation. We want to come back.

Best Weekend Ever!!!!
The Moani Kai was absolutely beautiful....the house is well equipped inside and out........kitchen has everything you would need...... outdoors had surf boards, chairs, toys for kids, towels....just bring your swimsuit!! There's enough room to accommodate the young active ones and space for relaxing and peacefulness. The property is right on the beach yet private. We will rent again!!! The caretaker was friendly and helpful.

Awesome
We had the very best time at Moani Kai. Our children and their families spent four wonderful days at this totally enjoyable home. Being residents of O'ahu and most of our family coming in from the mainland we wanted to make sure that their stay was the best ever. Moani Kai did not disappoint. Highly recommended. I'd definitely stay here again.

Exceeded our expectations!
The only thing wrong with our 5 day stay was it was too short! The house was perfectly located right on the beach which was also beautiful with soft golden sand. We enjoyed lunches and drinks on the lanai with the gorgeous yard sloping to the beach. The house has a wide open feel and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking for 2 or 12. (The caretaker) was sweet and helpful and a pleasure to work with. Lavish Getaways did an excellent job presenting several options of properties for us to pick from. We can't thank everyone enough for helping us have our dream wedding.

We loved this place!
This house was perfect for our group of married children & our grandkids. It was even better than the pictures could show. We had so much space and the kids all commented how we never felt crowded. The yard was so great for the kids to run around in when they were done with the sand. The beach was so beautiful in a bay which had a break so the surf wasn't too scary for the little ones. The sport court was fun, too! The hot tub was working great. A guy even came mid-week to clean it. It was especially nice after a day at the beach! The caretaker was adorable and friendly. She checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything but was never invasive. We found plenty to do right around the area. Lots of fun food places. Loved Papa Ole's for breakfast. My husband was on grill duty for dinners and commented that a newer and bigger BBQ would be great, but we were grateful for all of the extras provided that we weren't expecting. There are 2 washers & 2 dryers to use which was so helpful for our big group. The unit provided plenty of beach & bath towels, lots of chairs in the yard for hanging out, and even beach toys for the kids. There were boogie boards & surf boards. There was DW soap & even TP...Just a few nice things we didn't have to run out & buy! Our biggest Thank You to the owners & rental agency & the caretaker for helping our family vacation be the best it could be! Everyone loved it so much and we really hope we can come back again!! You gotta come here if you want to get away from the crazy Waikiki and feel how Hawaii is supposed to be.

Overall, the property was very nice and the proximity to the beach was great. Local traffic made driving anywhere in the area difficult, but unavoidable. The caretaker kept in touch, but we never met her, but there were no problems that she needed to be there for. Fortunately, the maintenance handyman was very helpful, although he was working on a project the entire stay (in the crawl-space under the house).

I expected it to be just a little more up to date and definitely a lot more cleaner. I’m a detail person. The screens were dirty. I feel the home needed a good washing outside and detailed cleaning inside. The refrigerator was clean. There was a musty smell of some sort in the home particularly in the upstairs and there definitely needs to be a way to keep the other rooms cooler. Terribly warm upstairs. But the property was fantastic for our group and it wasn’t so fancy that I didn’t have to keep watch of the kids constantly. You might check the wiring for the jacuzzi. My son in law jiggled something and we were then able to get the jets turned on and didn’t have a problem after that. But all in all we all had a good time together and enjoyed the location!

This house was a perfect fit for our family group of 13 ages 1-63 years old. The grandkids especially loved the yard with the large grassy area to play in after a long day at the beach or site seeing. We couldn't get the grill to work so we just went and ordered from the nearby food trucks again, yummy! The location was great for our adventures and away from the hustle of Honolulu. The 4 main bedrooms had a/c but the rest of the house including the 2 twin bedrooms were at times too hot for comfort. The house was perfect for us, but just know that it is more rustic than the pictures show. Overall we loved the house and would not hesitate to return.

Comfortable home, beautiful yard, right on a quiet beach, with a pickleball court, couldn’t ask for more. We had a family group of 14 and had plenty of room. Hot tub was clean and was enjoyed on cooler evenings. Restaurants, groceries, surfing, snorkeling, hiking, and more are all close by. Would definitely stay again.

The property managers (Rental Adviser) were not helpful with communication throughout the booking process and pre check-in.
The house itself was pretty good, EXCEPT for the roosters. These roosters (there were at least 3) crowed all throughout the night and day. Everyone in our party was woken up by them every morning and sometimes as early 3:30am. This made it difficult for everyone to enjoy the stay due to not getting much sleep.
There was a super raggedy orange construction fence that made the view unsightly which is set between the house and the beach. You also have to walk around it to get to the beach and it’s a little awkward. I have to say though, it’s not a far walk which was a plus.
There are a few positives of this place. The most important one being the property care taker because he was excellent and extremely helpful. He might have been the best part of the whole experience. And the close access to the beach and food trucks was nice, too. Those are the only reasons we are giving this place 2 stars.

This was perfect for our extended family vacation. There were a lot of different hang out spaces and activities on the doorstep in the form of a beach and pickleball court. Carol was very helpful, taking a photo of us so that we had a record of our time away. The grill was the only part of the property that we found to be in need of a clean before we used it, as there was a lot of built up grease. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We had been dreaming and planning this vacation for our family to come together and spend great quality time. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! From early morning sunrises, to chill time, Surf boarding lessons, Kualoa Ranch UTV rides, family photo shoot, Pearl Harbor, dinner cruise, Polynesian Cultural Center, Dole Plantation, pickle ball, food trucks and local shopping, we could not have had a better time.
Great location, the house had everything we needed and we knew Carol was there to answer any question we might have. THANK YOU CAROL, you were an awesome host. We definitely will be planning a return trip.

Having planned our Family vacation for almost 2 years, this home was the focal point of our celebration. The house was pretty much as expected and what you see from the pictures. The patio and covered table out in the back yard were both central gathering places to relax and enjoy family dinners. The ocean breezes were cool and constant. The rain showers were typically light and brief. There were 13 of us, but there was plenty of space to relax, or get away if needed. We loved it! Worth ever dollar, a bunch of dollars! Would I do it again. Absolutely!

This property was amazing! The location was great, the beds were comfy and it came with everything a big family would need. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this rental again.
My suggestion: having a listing of all small appliances and anything else the house comes with. I didn’t know there were already some toiletries included (total bonus) and I wouldn’t have had to bug the caretaker as much if there was a document that told me the house had a drip coffee machine, blender, wine openers, etc.
**my suggestion didn’t hinder my stay at all. The variety of household goods was great!

An absolutely beautiful view from just about any spot you looked out and a pristine beach great for any water sport!! Super close to a food truck haven, the Polynesian Culture Center, a great fish market and a couple of well supplied grocery stores! Our on-site property manager was awesome to work with and super sweet!! If/when we come back to Oahu we would love to stay here again! Absolutely gorgeous house, yard and beach!!

This house is located right on one of the best beaches on the North Shore and is close to everything. It is well cared for and well equipped with just about everything you'll need including beach equipment. The caretaker Carol is very responsive if you need anything but otherwise invisible. We were 6 adults and 3 kids under 6 but never felt crowded in any way with so many areas to hang out together or alone. If you want a luau the Polynesian Cultural center is only 10 minutes away and is much, much more than you would ever expect. The entire trip was magical in large part because we had such a beautiful and spacious place to stay. If you are looking for a great value and convenient place on the North Shore this is it!

I wish that 4.5 stars was an option. This place is not quite 5 stars, yet 4 stars seems to harsh a review in my opinion.
First the bad - the pictures make the house look like 5 stars. Yet the place is a tad rougher on the edges than the pictures present. It’s obviously a rental that gets a ton of use.
Now for the good which all far outweigh the bad. Carol is fantastic. Very responsive leading up to our stay and quick to solve any issues that we had during our stay. Her customer service was outstanding. The location can’t be beat. A quiet, secluded beach, great boogie boarding waves, all the beach chairs and toys you’ll need, the lanai(s) are excellent. The sunrises were spectacular. An easy drive to other North Shore activities. An hour to Waikiki (take the drive down the east coast of the island, it’s beautiful!).
The house is plenty big enough for a large mix of family. And you can easily hide out when they start to drive you crazy. AC in every bedroom was very nice.
The kitchen is well stocked. We cooked breakfast and dinner in every day, had everything we needed, except for a coffee grinder. Could have used a coffee grinder. The bbq was clean and easy to start and operate. Pickle ball was also fun.
You won’t be disappointed in renting this house for your family vacation.

The Photos Felt A Bit Deceptive … Lots of Updates & Cleaning Needed
I want to start by saying a house on the water is amazing and we enjoyed our stay. However, given the nightly price of this place, we fully expected a more updated, cleaner unit. We found a lot of dust in the rooms and bedding, had to do our own cleaning when we arrived, and felt the entire house was outdated and photos inaccurately depicted the condition of the property. You can tell this place is a rental that churns out people with little to no maintenance on the place.
The photos definitely make the place look way nicer than it is and it can use a big facelift with room cleaning, updated linens and towels, new curtains (the curtains were all stained with some rust- master bedroom was the worst), updates to bathrooms, etc.
We also weren’t aware there would be a caretaker right on the property. She was absolutely lovely but we felt that bit of information is something that would be nice to know prior to booking.
Overall having family all under one roof was fantastic, and loved falling sleep to the sound of the ocean, however we personally don’t feel the value was in this unit until some
Major updates and cleaning and maintenance is done. The value simply wasn’t there for the cost.

We booked the property for 10 nights and enjoyed our time together on the North Shore. The house is in good condition and mostly lived up to the listed description. We did encounter some insect issues, but the property manager responded to our request for action. Overall a good time was had by the group.

Wonderful Time in the North Shore
The heavy rain throughout our 9-days stay did not wash away a great Hawaiian experience at this beautiful house. We had family members flying in from Sydney, Boston, Houston and Chile and we were able to spend some amazing quality time at this spacious house and when the rain did stop and the sun occasionally came out, the beach was just a few steps away.

This is a dream property. The sound of the surf and fantastic sunrises were great. They had 2 surf boards and 8 boogie boards (of varying condition) which we found very useful. The pickle ball equipment is in the laundry room. We only saw 2 cockroaches on the main floor -- but it is Hawaii.

Phenomenal
The place was amazing. Got to be one of the best houses on the island. It was perfect and spacious for all 9 of us. Will absolutely stay again.

Make-up spring break trip
We really enjoyed our trip! Carol was so helpful and easy to work with before and during our stay. The house has everything two families need to have fun from board games to boogie boards. We made so many memories here. The lower ratings are just to ensure that if you rent you understand that this house is on the beach. Salt, sand and humidity are a part of it.

We had a family stay with ages 10-80 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. So many places to relax. We cooked dinner almost every night to enjoy the property. Carol is awesome!! We will be back!!

A near superb option at the north shore of Oahu!
The premise was clean and comfortable, location was good, & the beach felt private. Could have earned a perfect score for amenities (all in-door and most out-door furnishings were in excellent condition), if not for the unfixed-window screens and one table with chairs set. First impression suggestion, keep the place cool before guests arrival will go a long way. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect family retreat
We had an extended family stay, which the house and grounds worked perfectly for. Everyone had room to play and relax on their own while still allowing us spaces to gather everyone together.
There were games and puzzles available for use indoors during rainy days and lots of outdoor equipment when the weather cleared up and we got outside!
Carol was great and checked in on us routinely while still giving us the perfect feeling of being ‘home’.
Everyone was very happy!!
