Walking distance to the beach. Place is clean.
Water in the showet is yellowish.

Beach location where the reception is called amami...pleasant with resto and hanging chairs.
Booked as puerto galera hostel. This is not the name at the location or anywhere! Super confusing as there are 2 places one on the beach named amami where the reception is then taken across the road through a gate. Why this is mot mentioned anywhere on booking I have no idea! No one, locals etc have not heard of the hosel. How anyone finds it, is is a miracle. I mentioned this but have a feeling, it will not change, not really interested which is a shame!

Good breakfast right on the beach. I liked My budget room across the road and the cheerful atmosphere on the street. Happy.

If you are expecting 5* facilities then here is not for you.
However if you want pleasant clean good sized rooms, Friendly staff and good food this is the place.
I spent 5 weeks at the resort convalescing. I found it to be a brilliant place to just chill out and relax.
The resort, as described, is split into three sections,
1, Beach, where the reception, restaurant, bar, and typically rustic local style accommodation is situated on the beach front.
2, Garden, set about 100m back from the beach with solidly built accommodation on 2 levels. This pleasant setting is where the SPA bath is situated.
3. Villa, Set about 500m from the reception area with direct access to the beach.
I was accommodated in the garden section. My room was airy clean and comfortable with air conditioning, fan and hot shower.
The menu in the restaurant was varied with daily specials supplementing the standard. The food was good quality, well prepared and presented
Be aware however that the resort changed its name recently so all the locals, including tricycle drivers still know it as Amami!
Although the resort is situated in an exceptionally low crime area, a lack of means of securing valuables/documents I did find somewhat disconcerting.

I love the coziness of this place
The distance from the beach and from the main Resort restaurant.

Spacious, private. Basic but just great for a beach stay. Staff were extremely helpful.

Photos seems promising and tidy but when we arrived, the rooms were not even ready yet. It was late when we arrived yet the rooms and balconies are dirty. The blankets are not the same as in the picture, it looks like we used a very thin curtain blanket. Lack
of management, no one checks during check out. The jacuzzi was closed, the rooms are too far you have to walk 5-10mins. The beach front is smaller than what’s in the picture. The shoreline isnt smooth. Just different from what we expect. Of course the price was cheaper compared to others, if you are a group of friends would be fine. If family with kids might not be as comfy. I think the photos were old.

Friendly
Did not know how far some of the rooms where from the beach

Loction was good if you want to be out of the way or hustle and bustle. Food was good. Staff were pleasant. Change in circumstances was accommodated. Feel is rustic and natural
Site was recovering from a recent tropical storm so difficult to know typical look and feel of rooms but smell was of significant damp througout room, bathroom had damp and mildew, shower had continual leak meaning bathroom was always wet. Damp affected a good night sleep and left coughing each morning.

The room was big enough for us.
Not really clean.

Friendly staff. Perfect location. Couldn't wish for anything better.

We really enjoy the atmosphere in the hostel, it was so quiet.
Also the food for the night had a good taste.
The mosquitos.

Super friendly staff and safe environment to relax soul and body. The food is very good, too.
Anything you need, will be taken care of!

The only thing I liked about our accommodation is how close it was to the Mangyan Village and Talipanan Falls. I also like how the restaurant area was set up. Other than that, it's really difficult for me to find pleasant things about this resort. I know the property could be beautiful. In fact, we've heard from some of the locals that it used to be a nice place. It just seems like the owners did not care about the property anymore (or at least the Garden area) considering the amount of neglect that's immediately noticeable.
I will try my best to provide an honest review of this place. But keep in mind that each traveler has their own preferences, and this is simply my opinion about what I expected checking in to this place. If you have been to the resort's website, you cannot base your decision solely on the photos and price posted. You may get the rooms cheap, but there is a reason for that. I booked 3 rooms via Booking.com. My decision to book was based on the price posted, photos, and descriptions from the resort's website and Booking.com. I have stayed in smaller and nipa hut-type resorts over the years, even one with an exposed pipe as a shower. So I can be considerate of the conditions of certain accommodations and services. What disappointed me the most about this resort was the misleading information they posted to attract potential guests. The location - The rooms in the garden area are located outside of the resort vicinity. So you have to walk back out to the main road and cross the street. The hotel provided tricycle service for our luggage and it was a short walk, so it was no big deal. But you will for sure feel so isolated from the main resort. We did not know that this would be the setup. But regardless, we picked these rooms because they were one of the very few air-conditioned rooms at this resort. With all the mosquitoes around, you'd want your room to be as sealed as possible. The rooms - I think the hotel owners focused too much on making the restaurant area "nice", that they forgot they also have the Garden Area to maintain. One of the room's window-type AC did not have a cover, and the unit was just exposed. You can see all the dirt that's built up on the filter. The room also felt muggy, so that means the rooms have not been opened for maintenance for a long time. My husband took it upon himself to clean the AC cover. Otherwise, we'd all be breathing in all that stuff being blown out of the AC.

The ambiance was very good. Beach front then very chill vibes. The food they serve was also good and tasty with affordable prices.

The warmth welcome from the staff and Tita Tess was such a huge comfort when I was suffering from migraine. I had a good sleep because the place was peaceful and their dogs are friendly too. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
I love the surrounding trees and the mountain as backdrop of this place.
