About this house rental
Home features open common spaces with gorgeous granite counter tops and eating bar with a warm and wonderfully inviting, embellished craftsman style design throughout. Refinished hardwood floors grace the entry, dining room and living room. The open common spaces integrate with the kitchen featuring new stainless steel appliances. The back door leads to the back yard patio and abuts Mt Jumbo resulting in a quiet and serene setting to relax in while grilling on the BBQ or chilling on the patio under the shade umbrella.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and luxury linens, as well as an additional day bed/couch, ceiling fan and air conditioning - and a walk-in closet.
Guest bedroom is also furnished with a queen size bed and luxury linens and ceiling fan. Living room has a couch/hide-a-bed as well as an additional full size futon for additional guests.
Two complete bathrooms are set with walk-in marble showers, make-up vanities complete with luxury towels, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, iron & ironing board and other amenities. The downstairs bath has a washing and dryer available for use as well.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee press and grinder, wine opener, cabinets complete with plates, wine glasses, cutlery, butcher block, basic cooking supplies - oil, seasonings, sugar , teas, coffee etc - outdoor BBQ and more.
TV in the living room complete with a DVD player, local channels, and Roku Streaming.
Lovely front yard with large shade trees that set back from the quiet street for privacy - staged with park bench, patio table and chairs, as well as a net for volleyball or badminton games in season. Smaller yard in back with barbecue and picnic table with umbrella and chairs.
This house is the perfect setting for a summer family gathering, vacation get away, family graduation gatherings, weddings or winter ski resort access.
The University is a short walk away, 6-7 blocks to Broadway and then across the bridge to the University. For the more intrepid walker, it's about 1+ mile to the Farmer's Market area at the X's on Higgins where you can enjoy the wares to be found at the market or wander further to local breweries and restaurants on the strip including Break Expresso for coffee, as well as Black Coffee Roasters (yum), Iron Horse for a casual lunch or dinner (with spirits if desired) as well as the Flathead Brewery. Five-on-Black for Brazilian flare, The Plonk (cocktails and dining) - and much more just across Higgins Bridge.
For walks, especially if traveling with pets, there is Greenough Park, a quick 4 blocks away, or Mt Jumbo a couple blocks down to Cherry St to the Mt Jumbo access trail and you can take a short jaunt and get a great view of the town, as well as fresh air - or keep wandering up Mt Jumbo - clear to East Missoula if you like.
The Rattlesnake Recreational Area and Wilderness is just a few miles up the road on Van Buren/Rattlesnake Dr where you can merge with day traffic consisting of walkers, joggers, dog sitters, bikers and serious hikers heading for the Wilderness and Mosquito Peak. It's for the casual outing, the creek foot-soakers and the series bikers or back-packers - it's a lovely escape right at Missoula's back door!
All things considered, the Harrison house offers easy access to downtown or the university, as well as the recreational areas, making this residence the perfect stopping place with all the comforts of home at a reasonable price for character.

A great little funky house that sat back from the road and provided privacy and was in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the fact we could walk to the stadium from here. The house had everything we needed for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Cheryl’s place. It was perfect for two couples. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area with the morning sun and wildlife. It was a perfect spot to unwind while being close to everything we wanted to do while in Missoula. We would definitely stay again.

We so enjoyed our stay here. The house was stocked with all of the basics we needed and was very comfortable. We love the location and the yard had a number of large, mature trees and lots of space. There were also several deer that were regular visitors to the yard. This is a very comfortable place to stay.

Daughter and I couldn't have been happier with our choice! Interior decor is very upscale and the neighborhood is quiet
with plenty of wild life and very close to downtown. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

The property was very nice! I liked that there was a fenced area for my dog. She had a blast playing in the tall grass and climbing up the back part of the yard. House was sweet. We loved the fireplace. Kitchen had everything you need to cook or bake. Even a kitchen aid mixer! All the stone in the house was amazing. The location is close to downtown yet you feel very tucked away and secluded. Very peaceful! We saw many deer. The bucks still had velvet on their antlers. We were lucky enough to see a bear. I would stay again.

Cozy cabin/country feel nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The only thing we missed was a bathtub to bath my daughter’s infant son. Kitchen stocked well, lots of seating for meals and fireplace was nice on the chilly mornings. Beds were comfortable and nice sized bathrooms. If available, I would stay again.

Overall not bad . Very nice to have a well stocked kitchen , and lots of laundry amenities . A couple of constructive criticisms would be the door in back on suite didn’t close , and the shower did not work well.

No deer in the yard this year. They were in the yard next door!

Wife and I stayed here 3 nights. Clean inside, everything you need in regards to towels and appliances. Eclectic decor but modern finishes in a rustic home. We even got to meet a few young deer grazing in the yard.
If you're staying in the heat of summer..AC is not central but two window units.. House stays cool but one unit is in master bedroom.
Overall we enjoyed our stay..close to everything we needed. We would stay here again

Comfortable stay in beautiful area
Our stay was comfortable in the home located in a beautiful area. We enjoyed the house, the outdoor areas and the park along the Rattlesnake Creek nearby. It was a short drive to town and to the many rivers converging in Missoula. Communication with the owner was helpful and timely. Thank you!

Absolutely Perfect
Cheryl was amazing from start to finish. Highly responsive and available for questions. The property is on a quiet street and set back from the road for added privacy. The house was quite clean (even my 70yr old dad was impressed amd that isn't easy to do) and well stocked with basics (my 5yr old son excitedly counted the number of kleenex boxes available 😀). All in all, a great property and one we will try to return to when needed.

Great location, wonderful host
Delightfully funky gem in a great location. Very quiet and close to several hikes of all abilities. After a few days I spoke to the host about the dirty floors and counters, she was mortified. I should have communicated earlier so she had a chance to fix the problem but I had already cleaned.
