About this cabin rental
Enjoy an easy inexpensive weekend getaway in this rustic mountain cabin just an hour and a half from LA, halfway between the I-5 at the Grapevine and Santa Maria on the coast. Located on a cul-de-sac in Pine Mountain Club, a private community in the Los Padres National Forest. 35 minutes from Pyramid Lake and an hour from Magic Mountain.
Available for rent any time. $160/night, 2 night minimum. 3 night minimum at higher rate some holiday periods. 5 person maximum, including children and infants.
There is normally no added cleaning fee for your rental because I rent this as a HOUSEKEEPING CABIN - GUESTS PROVIDE THEIR OWN SHEETS, TOWELS AND FIREWOOD AND CLEAN THE CABIN WHEN LEAVING. There's no washer/dryer at the cabin so guests provide their own linens. Cleaning is easy - I provide a simple checklist and all cleaning supplies. My manager will check the cabin when you leave.
My cabin is located on two lots on a cul-de-sac, total 2/3 acre, and backs up to a green belt, so it feels very private. All knotty pine interior with lodge-like furnishings. Two large bedrooms - one with a queen bed, one with a full and a twin; high chair; one bathroom with combination tub/shower; stone fireplace; large deck overlooking wooded area. Large well-equipped kitchen including blender, coffee grinder, microwave, crock pot, pots and pans, condiments in the fridge - everything but a dishwasher! Beautiful stained glass window in living room with scene of local hills. Two smart TVs for streaming, plus books, board games and puzzles. Dual-pane windows for comfort summer and winter. Wifi internet connection and Magic Jack phone for domestic calls (at the moment there is only Verizon cell service in PMC - now Spectrum cell service works off Verizon towers.)
Rental includes access to beautiful mountain golf course; swimming pool in summer months; catch-and-release fishing in Fern Lake, a 20 minute walk away; tennis courts; basketball and volleyball court; children's playground; clubhouse with video game room, restaurant, lounge with wifi and live music on weekends.
Village business area has restaurants, gas station, market, laundromat, post office; gift shops, internet cafe plus seasonal festivals and fairs. Hiking, sledding and cross country skiing on Mount Pinos (8800') 25 minutes away, and trail rides at a jousting school 20 miles away. Just across the street from the cabin are the Snowflake Trails - a lovely wooded area with pathways leading to the village, and rustic tables under the trees - an easy woodsy walk without getting in the car, especially nice for little kids.
In the winter I provide sleds, and you are welcome to use the extra boots and gloves for adults and kids that I keep in a closet downstairs. There is no smoking in the cabin.
Refundable $200 cleaning/security deposit required to hold reservation; deposit will be returned in full once the cabin has been checked and found clean and undamaged.
Roads are very well maintained by Pine Mountain Club but weather can change quickly in the mountains so be prepared with 4-wheel drive or chains in winter. Rarely, during snowy weather the CHP may stop you from driving in to PMC or up to Mt. Pinos if you don't carry chains, even if you're not required to put them on.

From my first inquiry - until we checked out, Toni was the epitome of the perfect Host. Check in was a snap. We cooked all of our meals and found everything we needed - and more. The furnishings were comfortable and the view from the windows was breathtaking. Countless birds serenaded us as we sat on the deck(s). We took 4 different hikes - each one unique and beautiful. We highly recommend Toni's lovely cabin to others.

Toni’s place was absolutely perfect for our group of three! Her place was clean, well organized - and had such a warm, cozy feel to it. We hardly left her place-it was that enjoyable. The place had everything we needed, and her guidebook and notes were super helpful. The place is a treasure!!
Toni as a host was just spot on-a great communicator and responsive.
This experience was A+ and I absolutely want to return!

This beautiful 2-story cabin in PMC was a wonderful place to stay on our 3-week vacation. So well organized, stocked and furnished. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the fireplace, the back deck, and the fact that it was pet friendly! Lots to do in the local area too. Toni was easy to communicate when we needed to ask questions, etc. A great host. Thanks Toni!

Third time at Toni's cabin. This time we visited in the winter and enjoyed the fireplace and great sun exposure on the deck! Also ventured out to the nearby trail where there was some snow left over from a reason storm, which my dogs thoroughly enjoyed.

3rd time staying at this cabin. Very cozy. Saw the most snow we have ever seen, it was beautiful. Pine Mountain looked like a picture, snow everywhere.

The cabin looks just like the pictures. Very beautiful cozy cabin, accommidated with everything you probably forgot.Very private, amazing view, 1 foot of snow when we arrived, & snowed on us twice while we were there. Great place!

We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute of our time in PMC. It is quiet and dark so that you can enjoy your surroundings peacefully. The cabin is as described. There are a lot of notes around the cabin to explain how to use it and where things are stored. If you go in the winter, make sure you turn the heat on in the bedrooms a little while before you get ready for bed, as it is COLD! The dogs loved sitting in front of the fireplace with us to warm up. But my older dog (11 yr old GSD/Husky) had some issues with the stairs inside and out. Something to remember if you are traveling with older pets or, for that matter, people. :>)
The TV downstairs has Netflix, prime video, and others available. There are also a lot of movies and some CDs available. If you want to listen to your music from your phone, bring your Bluetooth speaker.
Verizon phone service and the internet worked well.
Pets are allowed, and there are a couple of water bowls and toys. We brought dog beds with us. The floors are cold and hard, and no dogs are allowed on the furniture.
The food in town was good. We went to the Bear Claw Bakery and had baked goods and very good bear claw mochas. They also have food items for lunch or breakfast. We had lunch at the condor cafe on the golf course and soup at the Mexican restaurant. All of it was very good.

Well maintained clean cabin with lots of comforters, cooking utensils/pots and pans, all paper products. Pine lap siding varnished throughout inside of cabin with unique decor throughout. It was beautiful when it snowed a couple of inches and froze to the trees which there are many. Short walk across the street to the snowflake trails which were well maintained. Toni contacted us while we were there and made sure everything was ok.

Great cabin!
The location is great. Very secluded and private but at the same time just a short stroll away from the village center with the grocery store and restaurants. Bear Claw Bakery is awesome!
We will definitely be back. Thanks, Toni!

Cozying up in a rustic, storied home.
As soon as we walked in the door my girlfriend said this was already her favorite home stay we've booked. We were in love with the DVD/CD collection, the fireplace, the family photo album, wall art and the surrounding trails. Everything in this home and the greater neighborhood seemed to carry a story and I only wish I had a chance to speak with the owner in more depth about it! We slept comfortably, and the clean-up process was easy. I would happily come back to this place in the snow. If you're coming from the Santa Barbara/Ventura area I highly recommend taking the 33 all the way over for a scenic drive!

A nice quiet place
My son and I were looking for some place to just spend a couple days hanging out together and to maybe do a little hiking. This fit the bill perfectly, and even had a cute set of small trails right next to it.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this dream cabin! Truly home away from home. Beautiful knotty pine rooms, amazing fireplace, and gorgeous views out the back deck if the forest where we got to watch the lovely snow fall! Stayed very warm on cold winter days with the heating system! Toni is wonderful to work with and so accommodating! Very quiet and peaceful too! We will be back for sure!

My Dream Cabin
We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! This is truly our 'dream cabin' with the lovely fireplace, comfortable bed, cozy living room, knotty pine throughout the home, and, to top it off, it is located in such a beautiful setting with pine trees all around! The cabin stays nice and warm and is well-stocked with all of the amenities we needed for cooking. It was very easy communicating with Toni with any questions we had and she responded quickly to any messages we sent! She is absolutely wonderful to work with and so accommodating! This cabin is truly a slice of heaven and we will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends. I highly recommend this place for anyone venturing to Pine Mountain Club. Thank you for everything!! Brenda and Luis

Went to PMC for a girls weekend. Everyone loved the cabin, the decks, the quiet and privacy. We didn't even turn on the tv!

Perfect
This cabin is so cozy. Toni has thought of everything to make your stay easy and fun. My husband and I and our two boys (6 months and 2 1/2) had a great time. I didn't anticipate how much my older son would be obsessed with the stairs so I wish I would've brought a baby gate or something to block them, just an fyi if you have a toddler. There is a high chair available, plenty of toys, games, books, dvd's. The trail to the town center was great, really easy with one steep incline that the toddler couldn't handle so he had to be carried. Toni goes above and beyond to make sure you have all the information you need. Maps, trails, restaurant info, cleaning checklist, you name it. Looking forward to staying again possibly when it snows!

Mountain Retreat
My family and I stayed at Toni's cabin over the 4th of July weekend. We arrived to a clean and well-organized cabin, that was a good fit for my wife, 2 teenage sons, and me. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, and one of the bedrooms has 2 beds, so it worked perfectly for the 4 of us. The kitchen was clean, organized, and had all of the appliances and utensils that we required to during our 3-day stay. The cabin is a short walk to the market/bakery, etc along the snowflake trail. It was appreciated that we were able to use the tennis courts while we were there, which was a bonus. The back deck has a love seat, and 2 chairs - great place to sit on a summer evening.
It felt very private on the deck with the greenbelt behind. Toni was a great host, providing us with all of the information that we needed before we arrived, so we were able to arrive, unpack, and relax. Great cabin and glad we had the opportunity to stay there.

Second stay
I enjoyed my stay which was the second time and hopefully will be around for many more stays in the future. The cabin and the area is great with lot of privacy. The grill was awesome to say the least used it to make bbq every day. Thank you Toni for going the extra mile to make sure our experience was excellent.

Cute, Peaceful Cabin
We had a great time at this cabin. Two Nice outdoor decks with bird watching. Nice bedrooms and living area. Stairs are a bit steep if you have trouble doing stairs, so keep that in mind. My dog had a great time going up and down them. He had fun chasing a squirrel on the porch, and watching woodpeckers and blue jays at bird feeder was fun. Owner has done a good job with giving info and labeling where to find needed household items. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely go again. Fresh pine air and peaceful place to relax.

Cozy Pine Cabin
This cabin is the perfect getaway for some peace in the pines. We lucked out and caught a storm from a late spring snow, it created a beautiful winter wonderland view from the cabin. Loved being close to town via the “snowflake trail” such a great location. We enjoyed the quiet time and privacy. Thanks so much Toni, we loved your special place.

This cabin was clean, cozy, quiet.
Tony was the best host ever. She made sure we had all our information and anything extra that we need it. Our 10th wedding anniversary was the best experience we could have had at the Devereux cabin.

Quiet Rustic Cabin in the Woods
We had another lovely stay in this cabin! We love the quiet cult-de-sac that it's located on. And the calm and beauty of looking at the stars at night are just amazing - the deck is a great spot for star gazing (or for hanging out during the day.) There is a fun little trail (two houses over and across the street) and that leads to town. We walked to the bakery one morning and enjoyed some delicious pastries. Lots of nice hiking trails nearby and Toni has information about those at the cabin.
We cooked most of our meals at the cabin and we found everything we needed, even some nice spices to use for extra flavor!
Bringing our own sheets and towels wasn't a big deal at all. The sheets go on quickly and then we were ready for our stay. And clean up is pretty simple and went quickly too. We love having a much less expensive rental simply by bringing our own linens and spending a little time cleaning and tidying up before we go. It's a benefit for everyone. We're loving this little cabin getaway!

Cozy Cabin Tucked Into the Trees
We had a wonderful time staying here. It's located on a very quiet street and surrounded by pine trees. We loved placing the bird feeder out in the morning and watching the bird antics and learning the names of the birds.
There is a fun little community trail right across the street that we enjoyed exploring. The cabin itself had everything we needed to cook our meals and enjoy a movie night. It's very cozy, but still has plenty of room for everyone to eat, relax play games, read a book, etc And the 2 rooms upstairs worked perfectly for our family of 5. It met our needs, was just as we expected, and we are planning on staying again!

Charming cabin!
Great rustic cabin on a quiet street! Toni’s home had everything we needed, and was close to the village/shops and a great little hiking trail. My kids enjoyed watching the birds come to the bird feeder, and sledding on the hill behind the cabin. We enjoyed the wide selection of movies, and my kids thought the laser discs were pretty cool. Heaters worked great, and beds were comfortable. There weren’t many wall light switches; mostly pull cords or you had to turn on each lamp, but it sort of added to the rustic charm and didn’t bother us much. We loved the look of the original floors and vintage wall decor. Would definitely stay again!

Great Spot for a Relaxing Getaway!
Great little spot to enjoy a relaxing weekend! Trails were perfect to get some exercise and enjoy some smoke free time! The house was fully equipped with everything we needed to make meals. The house was a quite cul-de-sac so very limited traffic/noise.
