About this cottage rental
Say Hello to our friend! 'ALOHA' is a relaxing and clean- centrally located- 4 bedroom, 2 full bath, 3 level beach cottage located in KIll Devil Hills N.C.at Mile Post 9, between the highways, 1 lot back from beach road with great ocean views. IF YOU LIKE LONG WALKS TO AND FROM THE BEACH- DO NOT CONSIDER THIS HOUSE- WE ARE VERY CLOSE!!!!
The cottage has 1 king bed, 2 queen size beds and 2 full size beds, with 2 full baths and an outside shower with ample changing room. We have a hot tub that is professionally maintained year-round. A ground level drink cooler keeps your favorite beverages chillin' so you can stay hydrated! The cottage has two decks that face the ocean with full sun all day up top with plenty of shade on the bottom deck.
We have a public beach access that is a one minute walk from the house that has lots of parking, public showers a bike rack and a LIFEGUARD STAND! ***Note to moms and dads-- the cottage is so convenient to the beach, that if trips are needed back and forth for the little ones, it is easy. One of the many reasons we bought the cottage.
The property has ample parking, a gas grill, basketball court, cornhole boards, a volleyball net and a picnic table for a family feast.
'ALOHA' is located where you can get away ,but not be too far away, in a beach neighborhood ,of owners, that are friends. Shopping, drug stores, restaurants, and local 'watering holes' are all within walking distance.
This is our beach vacation home that we enjoy relaxing in, going to the beach, and eating the best food the beach has to offer. If more is needed, then----- The Wright Brothers Memorial, Carolina style golf,--- Jockeys Ridge State Park,--- The North Carolina Aquarium, ----Wild Horse Sighting Tours, The Lost Colony Play and World Class Fishing should be on your to-do list. Cape Hatteras National Seashore and the Currituke-Bodie Island- & Cape Hatteras lighthouses are all within 90 minutes of 'ALOHA'. *** In 2011, Jennettes Pier reopened. It is now owned by the North Carolina Aquarium Society - they have plenty of fun things for the kids to check out. **In 2012 we added ceiling fans/lights to the three adult bedrooms. The cool breeze and white noise has made for even better sleeping. New Hot Tub for 2014 and new Hammock. In 2015 we added a set of deck chairs facing the ocean and flat screen TV's in every room. In 2017 we replaced the living room furniture. In 2020 we replaced the gas fireplace w/ a new electric fireplace and new carpet. In 2023 we replaced the exterior deck.
We rent from Saturday to Saturday June, July & August

Everything was as advertised. Easy walk to beach and several restaurants within easy walking distance. Tons of things to do, places to eat and shop within a few minutes by car when not on the beach.

We had a wonderful time in the outer banks. Access to the beach was very manageable with all the little ones. Hot tub was an added enjoyment after a long day with the kiddos. Thank you to Anthony Davis for making this happen for the family.

Roaches, unclean, many moldy areas, broken items. Door locks broken , trash not picked up. Air conditioning down twice . Great location. Need qualified maintenance.
Big letdown.

Check-in process had a bit of a hiccup but once we figured it out the stay was great. This house has all the amenities advertised, its within walking distance to many restaurants and spots. Anthony was quick to reply with the questions I had. I would definitely rent this spot again.

Everything was perfect! The restaurant right next door was a great experience; best Fried Green Tomatoes were perfect! Other reviews were right!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Aloha. First, the location was one block from the beach, a quick walk even for the kids and grandparents. Despite being so close to the beach and next door to a restaurant, it was quite quiet at night. The house was lovely, with decks on each level, clean rooms, a functioning washer/dryer, and stocked with games that entertained our children for the week. And the hot tub capped off our fun-filled days. Finally, the host was very responsive to our questions, and when our daughter accidentally left her dolls at the house, he did not hesitate to quickly find them and ship them to us! Great host and great house, certainly recommended for families with children staying in the heart of the Outer Banks!

Starting with an easy check in process, the house is gorgeous. Very short walk to the public beach access which is great, and you can see the sunrise from the top deck. Hot tub works great and we played alot of bags. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that we noticed a leak in the second floor shower, which means we couldn't use that shower during our stay. We notified Anthony right away, and I'm sure he's gotten it taken care of. Anthony is a terrific host going above and beyond in helping my sister get something she'd left inside picked up quickly and easily. Would absolutely stay again, as we had a wonderful holiday weekend!

The location was great...very close to the beach as well as dining and shopping. The owner was very accommodating of our needs...Thanks, Anthony! The house could probably use a yearly deep cleaning for things like vents, kitchen drawers, bathrooms, etc... and a lamp upgrade in bedrooms. I agree with other reviews of the TV situation....the living room TV kept cutting out, and the bedroom TVs had no way to access the Roku connection. Overall we had a great time though.

The house was even better than we expected! It was able to comfortably accommodate 5 adults and 2 kids. Place was clean and you can’t ask for a better location for not being on the beach. The short walk was perfect for our 4 year old. Would definitely stay again!!

Knew it would be close to the beach but didn’t realize it would be THAT close. Every bedroom had access to a balcony. Large living/eating area and loved having the hot tub!!

We overall had a great time as a family, super close to the beach, great pizza place across the street! Definitely some things around that needed work, few boards on the deck that were sticking up, the grill was not cleaned, few nails stick up from wood on the deck, upstairs tv stayed on for 4 minutes then would turn off every time. Never got an answer back about that.
Loved the views from each deck level.
Glad the house was big enough to have a big family vacation!
all in all, my family had a great time in the outer banks, and it helps when your that close to the beach!

I stayed with my daughter and her friend for 5 days to celebrate her 30th birthday. The location is fantastic and 1 easily walkable block to the gorgeous beach. Next door is a restaurant that can get noisy but we were fine with it and it was convenient. The biggest disappointment was the state of cleanliness of the house itself. Everywhere felt kind of grimy. Around the door knobs, cupboards, handles, couches, etc. My daughter's friend kept asking what I paid for cleaning deposit. There were some toys in the downstairs cupboard but basket ball needs air so couldn't play, didn't see a volley ball, hammock didn't have a carabiner to be able to use. Hot tub was fantastic though! Dishes really need to be organized and all the drawers and shelves cleaned. The owner should live there for a few days with a friend and just really look around to see all that needs a personal touch. I have a VRBO myself and hate to leave a review like this but the final disappointment was not being able to stream movies without the internet constantly disconnecting from the TV. Owner didn't respond for a few hours and when we did hear it still never got resolved.

The floorplan was great with having a master bedroom on the top floor and three bedrooms on the second floor for our college children and their friends. We loved the large hot tub and outdoor shower was a nice add. Centrally located.
