Great location on multiple acres - elk and bear roaming the property - excellent house for a big group
4.9
The property worked out great for our family of 7 adults, 2 teenagers and an infant. Everyone had their own space. John was very helpful, giving directions to the runners in the group. The property was secluded, yet close to everything we needed in Silverthorne and Frisco.

Our entire family had the best stay at this amazing house. We all felt so comfortable and it was perfect for twelve of us. John took care of all our needs and he was always available when needed. We would highly recommend you stay here for the vacation of a lifetime! The views from the house are fantastic, herds of elk were seen, and the beauty was overwhelming.

Beautiful property with stunning views. Great place for family gathering, walking and enjoying being together. The photography of the local area enhances the decor.

We booked this place for a family weekend with 9 adults. It was perfect, giving everyone their own beds and ample # of bathrooms.
We were able to take advantage of the huge kitchen to prepare meals, while enjoying the view and fireplace!
The house even came stocked with some games and puzzles which we took advantage of.
The location of the house was perfect, being very close to Keystone and other neighboring mountains.
Great host, fantastic space, we highly recommend enjoying your stay at this house!

We had a very nice stay. The host being on site was helpful. The house is very large and accommodated our group of 9 with 4 adults and 5 teens very easily. Access to the house via the private road system was ok with a 4WD vehicle. Another person in our party had a FWD minivan, and had a bit of trouble making it up the hill. I think had there been more snow it would have been difficult.
We recommend this home.

The house and location are beautiful.
CONS- The listing is inaccurate. NO HOT TUB. NO 6th Bedroom. The 6th bedroom is an office with a pullout couch, not a bedroom with two futons. This was an issue for us because of the amount of single people we had. The heat does not work well in a couple of the bedrooms so there were a few rooms that were cold. The TV has very limited channels and the projector screen tv downstairs is also very limited unless you can log into your own account. No soap in shower. In my past, when you rent a house of this caliber, there are certain things that you typically have- a tv and soap but I do realize it is not mandatory they supply this.
PROS- the kitchen is nice to cook in. The house is beautiful. The set up for a larger group is nice because we could eat meals together etc. House was clean.

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful property!

Amazing Location and incredible views
4.9
This home is absolutley beautiful and luxurious. Huge windows with awsome views, spacious bedrooms and large kitchen perfect for preparing group dinners. Roads are plowed regularly which was helpful during our snowy weekend. The host does live in the home but in a seperate wing and is mostly unseen during stay. Only critique would be that a hot tub is listed as a "popular ammenity" on the initial listing however there is no hot tub on the property. Overall had a great experience and would definitley stay here again.

The property was very secluded and quiet yet a close drive to Keystone. We had a nice time staying here.

It was a frigid week in Silverthorne but this house provided plenty of gathering and meeting spaces for our company summit. Thanks to John for stellar communication!
4.9
We had a family ski trip. The home had great accommodations for everyone and all had plenty of space to enjoy themselves. Fireplaces, kitchen, bathrooms, televisions, views and plenty of snow!
4.9
John was nice and helped us a lot with allowing us to have extra people during the day for our gathering with friends for my daughters wedding supper. The arrangement of the house was great for what we needed for our group. The back deck is great for cooking when I used my blackstone's to cook burgers and breakfast on.

Very comfortable, inviting, quiet, lots of space!

The view from the property is absolutely beautiful. Looking over the valley is just breath taking. There is a meadow in front of the house with trees on both sides, mountains behind. There is a great hiking trail behind the property up to a beautiful waterfall. We had a black bear visit us one afternoon and we saw elk and coyotes on the property.
Everyone enjoyed their time on the property, hiking and visiting everything the county has to offer.
John is a great host. Just about everything we needed was right there in the house. We had 12 adults and 2 babies stay for one week. It was good to have everyone under one roof.
Would stay again.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend with our family and friends! The house was beautiful with amazing views. Perfect place for family gatherings. We hope to plan another trip in the near future. Thank you, John for being an excellent host!

We stayed five days and had a blast. The location had beautiful views and was super close to town and resorts. Plenty of space for two families to relax comfortably. There were lots of beds for everyone.

Couldn’t have been better.

Overall, the property was beautiful, easy to access, and accommodated the group we had. John met us at the property to show us how everything worked, including electronics and pull out mattresses. The views from the property were beautiful and was a quick drive down the hill into town. Highly recommend!

John was a great host and the property is amazing! A definite recommendation to anyone that is looking to rent this house

The house was big and perfect for 6 adults and 5 kids! Close to Breckenridge and all offered there for sledding and fun! We loved the views and high location!

John's home is beautiful and a wonderful place for a large group. The beds were comfortable and the living area provided a nice gather place for all 12 of us to visit. The downstairs gathering area was a great place for all 12 of us to comfortably watch a movie on the big projector tv. On our last night we saw a moose right outside the patio door which was a cherry on top of a great girls' weekend. I'd definitely go back.
The only surprise is that John the owner lives on the property in the caretakers quarters. That should be noted in the listing.

Amazing location, clean and perfect space for hosting a big group :) host was very accommodating and helpful

Our group had a great time here. John is a wonderful host. The house is spacious and the view of silverthrone is outstanding. If you are looking to stay in Silverthrone I highly recommend this property!

The owner, John really takes pride in his property. Custom built house that has everything you'll need for your stay.
Only downside for the smokers was there is no smoking anywhere on the property, you have to go out of property lines for a smoke, which might be actually good for getting some fresh air after breathing in all those toxins : ))
Owner lives right next door so I'm guessing if needs arrise he'll be right there to help.
Would go back again...

We stayed for 6 nights and 7 days through the new year and really enjoyed our time at the house. The owner, John, who lives on site and attached to other side of the house, made sure we were comfortable. He only came through a few times to check on the heater for us. And he was nice enough to clear the front walkway of the house and plow the road to get out from the house into the neighborhood. The house location is pretty spectacular with beautiful views of the mountains and forest all around. And in the evenings you can see in the distance the twinkling of Silverthorne and the Keystone ski lift, and on New Years Eve we were lucky enough to catch a fireworks show coming from the town. We also really enjoyed early morning bird and moose watching.
One evening upon arriving after day out we came home to find a lonely moose snacking on the bushes right out front of our daughters room. It was pretty amazing to see him. We looked for him daily after that. We could hear them calling which was also really cool.
The house is HUGE and plenty of space for everyone to spread out, it's a good thing the owner gives you a tour once you arrive that way you know where everything is and operates.
We all loved the open concept kitchen so that guests who were cooking can be a part of the conversations going on in front of the large fireplace/hearth. Our college age daughters loved sitting in the "book nook" as we called it each morning to read and write. Very cozy.
John was very helpful our first morning there we found that our coffee maker was broken and he happily went to the nearby store and brought us a new one.
If I could suggest anything, would maybe be that the bottom floor bedroom that faces the front driveway of the house (where the moose was snacking) needs curtains or blinds. We had our two 18 year old girls staying in that one and there was zero privacy in the bedroom or bathroom. Anyone could see in there room and into bathroom if they were standing out front or walking around that part of the front. All other bedrooms and bathrooms with windows had privacy blinds.
Other than that suggestion, we had a great time at Johns place and really liked getting to visit the Silverthorne, Frisco, Vail area. The house is conveniently located to all these neighboring towns plus super close to the shopping "main street" of Silverthorne, but far enough removed you still felt secluded enough from all the hub and bub.
Bonus John kindly overnighted our daughters wallet that she let behind in one of the drawers and really saved us some major heartburn.
Hope to make it back there someday.

The host was very kind and welcomed us by giving a house tour! The house is made for a large family and has all the amenities necessary. Beautiful and very comfortable! The location is also amazing! The snow falling made our stay as a fairy tale!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home over the Thanksgiving holiday. There was plenty of room for our family of 9. The views from this home are stunning. John was very attentive, wonderful host! Would highly recommend this property.

We had the loveliest time here. Gorgeous views of the mountains and a very cozy, modernized house. Great place for family get-togethers that is private and close to nature, but an easy ride into town for food/shopping/more scenic views. This was a first visit to CO for many of our guests, and they're already planning to come back. Be ready to spot some wildlife - we were greeted by a large herd of elk on our last morning. Would stay here again with another large group!

Could not have asked for a better experience from a rental home. Beautiful interior, stunning views, and plenty of places to sleep!

Stayed here for a low key boys trip. Incredible spot (with beautiful views and amenities, particularly the movie theater). Location was also an ideal jumping off point for hikes / activities. The host was also very attentive and helpful. Thanks for the amazing stay!
4.9
This house was the perfect setting for our retreat. It was close enough to town to have access to restaurants and Whole Foods when needed. But remote enough to feel completely off grid. John is a fantastic host, always available but never hovering. We will be back!!!

This house was perfect for our group of 11. John was very helpful and responded quickly

Our family stayed at the property for a family reunion/ very small wedding. It was a dream come true! The house was beautiful, rustic design, and overlooked Silverthorne, CO. The owner was very helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this property as a fun get-a-way with family and friends

This was the perfect location for us to host 13 of our family members for our very small wedding ceremony on the property. The property and views are really incredible and the wow factor of this place. The house is huge and comfortably held 7 of us for the weekend.
The owner lives (separately) on the property and was very accommodating and communicative throughout our stay whenever we needed anything.
This is definitely a place you’d come to unplug and unwind. There’s not a ton of “extras” in terms of amenities. TVs have minimal channels and wifi was somewhat spotty. So just keep that in mind. But it’s great for hanging out and spending quality time.
While the property is remote within a gated community, it’s still very easy to get to and from town and only one exit away from Breckenridge.
Overall, it was an awesome experience and we hope to come back down the road!

Great location and the views from the front decks were spectacular. Everyone in the group enjoyed their stay.
