The Elliot Guesthouse was the perfect location for our trip to Livingston! It was about two blocks from the main drag and easy to get to. The house was very clean, had everything that we needed, and Kara was quick to answer the call and come help us when we locked ourselves out. Thank you! Highly recommend staying at her place if you are coming through town!

Myself and some friends stayed at this home for a weekend of exploring Montana. Kara was super responsive with all my questions! The home was perfect and had many cute touches. Don't pass this place up when looking for a nice and affordable place to stay.

This property is in a great location. We could walk to shops and restaurants and the park. Parking was not a problem all 7 days we were there. The three window A/C units were needed because it was in the 90's some of the days. Kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom in the primary bedroom (toilet, sink, shower) is very small but functional. The shower in the second bathroom is a little tricky to use because of the lack of space when the shower curtain is inside the tub. Loved the great supply of books, games, magazines, puzzles. There was also interesting historical information about the area on the walls and in the books. We also had good communication from the host.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this quaint home in Livingston. The property manager was so easy to work with and helped us sort out food issues on a holiday. The accommodations were perfect for my family and we could not have asked for a better place to stay for our family of six.

The place was very comfortable. It was a nice road trip to Yellowstone and we saw plenty of wildlife in the way to and from. It was easy to get groceries and have a meal at a few nice restaurants.

There were four of us on our annual fishing trip. The house accommodated us nicely and it's adjacency to town, main street and I-94 was great.

We took an extended stay for fall fishing in Livingston. Was looking for comfy and convenient place for a 3 week stay. Elliott House was the ticket. Comfy, clean 3 bedroom home, beautifully adorned. Kitchen had all the amenities to cook and eat in, which is what we did after long days out hiking and fishing. Location is great, being walking distance to downtown, and a number of bars and restaurants. Neighborhood is very nice. Enjoyed sitting on porch in evenings and watching neighbors walking with their families downtown. And Kara was great to work with. Definitely great base for our trip to Livingston. And we will plan to return. Thanks, Kara.

The stay was good it was warm during our stay only one window AC.there were fans in every room but none turned on took a couple of hours to cool it down. We had everything else in towels, dishes, and other amenities.

Great location and great owner
Great communication with the owner and she always made sure we had everything we needed. Fabulous location that made our lack of multiple cars no problem at all.

The Elliott House was perfectly situated to walk downtown to shop, eat or grab a drink! The convenience to Yellowstone is AMAZING as well. The front porch cafe table was perfect for enjoying a coffee or cocktail and the dining table was large enough for a family or perfect for just the two of us. We only slept on the primary bed, but if the other two were as comfortable - AHHHH! The only downsides I can say are storage Kitchen/baths/bedrooms and closets is limited - An expected part of staying in an OLD, OLD house. The kitchen blinds were showing signs of a much needed Spring cleaning. WiFi worked beautifully, but the lack of a streaming TV was sorely missed for stormy day family movie time. Overall, it has been our best stay yet in Livingston!

Great place to sleep while hiking at Yellowstone and near by. Close to downtown Livingston. Walkable to local restaurants and museums.

We really enjoyed our stay at Elliot house. There was plenty of room for us to gather for conversations, and everyone had their own rooms. Unfortunately it was very hot while we were there, which was difficult the first two nights, but after that things cooled down. The location is prime, everything was close and walkable. We had a wonderful day and I would definitely go back to Elliott Guesthouse.

Conveniently located to downtown Livingston. Easy walk to many restaurants and shops. Old house so has that “grandma’s house” smell which to us brought back pleasant memories of the past. Not luxurious but better than adequate.

Pre-Check In Experience
Kara did an awesome job letting us know about the property details and making accommodations for our stay for my wife's uncle's memorial service. We were able to adjust the occupancy based on additional family members coming, and appreciated the travel guide and tips (even though my wife's family is from Livingston). We had arrived from our flight earlier and asked about an earlier check-in, but were told that we needed to check-in at the standard time to enable a thorough cleaning of the place. There was no harm in asking, but totally appreciated the response.
Check-In/Arrival
The check-in instructions worked without issue, and it was easy to find on street parking. The location was well appointed, with great decor, historical tidbits, and a really functional kitchen for our stay. Where it fell short of our expectations was the cleanliness -- while beds were made with clean sheets, clean towels in the linen closet and surfaces wiped down, the whole place was dusty. You could run your finger on a windowsill, ledge or door frame and come off with black dust. Due to COVID concerns, we didn't want to reach out to have additional cleaners come in (my son is not vaccinated, we had immunocompromised members of our traveling party) to make it right. With that being said, a few of my wife's family members who also own vacation rentals in the area were surprised that this was how it was at check-in. Regardless of the condition, age or number of stars of the accommodations, I would never expect to check-in to a place that dusty! My mother-in-law took to dusting and cleaning with the cleaning supplies in the unit, so it was made better for our stay.
The location was in walking distance of Livingston's downtown, where we had the ability to go to restaurants, breweries and shops with a nice stroll. The beds were comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. The updated bathroom worked great, and the classic claw footed tub bathroom was AWESOME for those that look baths. We were able to have ample space to visit, play games and spend time as a family.
CHECK-OUT
Super clear instructions were left on the fridge, and checking out was as easy as checking in.

This home was the perfect fit for myself and two of my sister’s with 3 bedrooms and two baths. The house itself was homey, reminded us of our own home growing up and we felt comfortable immediately. We enjoyed many evenings on the wide front porch people-watching and greeting passerby’s. Great location to hiking, parks and especially downtown. Many great restaurants were within walking distance. Kara was wonderful to work with and was there within minutes one evening when we had locked ourselves out, with a smile on her face. We hope to come stay again soon at the delightful Elliott House and you should too.
