The house itself was really nice, regardless that it's in the rural. Friendly staff and were really patient with us because we were late for checking in
The road needs maintenance. Otherwise, all was perfect!

Exceptional location if you look for peace and quiet. We absolutely loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Very simple spot on the wild coast.
Forgot to give us towels, very little toilet paper and no rubbish bins lining in the bin.

The destination is great, close to the beach but the cottages need some attention. Some proper and clean bedding would really be great. Best drive during the day due to the gravel road leading to the cottage and make sure you get your supplies at before the gravel road as there are no shops and it is one hour away.
The bedding were terrible and the place was not properly clean before we arrived.

I had a wonderful stay as always.
This is my third year back and there will be many to come.
There might be no heaven on earth but this is as close as you can get to a piece of it.
The hosts are like family already an I love them for sharing their place with me

Beautiful place in an even more beautiful location. Go there to get away from busy city life. Short walk or drive to the beaches (do need an off-road vehicle though if driving). The night sky is like none other - no bright lights to interfere with your view of the stars. We took a 2x4 Hilux there after seeing other comments about the condition of the roads. I can confirm that the road has now been graded and the property can be accessed by smaller vehicles, although I wouldn’t recommend this as you would still need a high ground clearance vehicle to explore nearby beaches which are off the main gravel road.

the Road was bit tricky, but we made it with a normal car, even got picked up by Tosso to help us with the bad part

Fantastic fantastic fantastic location! Amazingly untouched area, completely removed and isolated in a very friendly rural community. We couldn't see any of the famous sights that are close by because rainy season damaged the roads too much but we will definitely be back to see them all. The locals are some of the best most helpful people you will EVER encounter. Our room was small but had everything we needed and was cleaned everyday by the most amazing staff. Please take the things I didn't like as tips for your stay rather than negative feedback! You will never ever experience surroundings like this so everything you go through is worth your while if you are prepared to rough it for a few days. Without electricity the apartments are very well equipped with gas stoves and battery operated flashlights.
I REPEAT YOU CANNOT GO IF YOU DO NOT DRIVE A 4x4, please believe me when I tell you we drove with a HIGH CLEARANCE SUV and almost didn't make it!
It was during the rainy season, our car got stuck a few times and we had some damage to the car as well.
Luckily you can rely on literally ANY local person you see to help you out of any situation, they are so amazing they will get knee deep in the mud and help you dig your car out! The roads are really really really bad, but should be a breeze with a bakkie/any 4x4. There is a piece of the dirt road that you follow, where the locals have stacked a heap of rubble and they call this piece the "not a road" piece 😂 where we got stuck and without them showing us the new road I don't know how we would make it.
You should also prepare yourself for quite the difficult trip on your way there, the location is extremely remote so the rural towns like Flagstaff and Lusikisiki you drive through on your way there have quite rough traffic and people drive very dangerously. While still on the main roads on your way there be prepared for a lot of risky drivers, dangerous potholes and just a very bad road overall. This is before you get on the very bad dirt roads.
The overall cleanliness of the apartment could be better and is a little cramped. Also prepare for a lot of bugs and mosquitoes.
I know that electricity provided by eskom is out of everyone's hands and I am COMPLETELY able, capable and ready to go without it IF I can prepare for it properly! We arrived on a Thursday and the electricity was already down since that Tuesday. I would have LOVED for the owner to just let me know at least 24 hours before I arrived that they have been without electricity for a few days (especially in festive season all of us know that if it has been off for a few days it will most likely be off for another few days right!?) so that I could JUST PREPARE. The owner only told us about this issue when we were almost there!
