About this house rental
Description
Comfortable year round home located on Waynes Point in a quiet section of east shore of Cayuga Lake. This is pretty much what you would expect in a nice lakefront cottage.
Upstairs
Four bedrooms sleep eight upstairs with a full bath. The upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Three of the rooms have queen beds, the fourth has two singles. None of these rooms is large but all have ceiling fans, closets and dressers. You spend most of your time outdoors anyway and these rooms do the job. Central air/heat
DOWNSTAIRS
1) Leather couches, flat screen TV (cable and WiFi), Fireplace
2) A separate sitting area for reading, sleeping (large couch),
3) Large indoor porch with two couches (queen sleeper sofas) and a four seat table to enjoy the lake views.
4)There is a new full bath on the first floor off the porch with a stall shower .
Central air/heat.
KITCHEN
The kitchen has plenty of storage and all the usual appliances. There is enough counter space to make lunches and dinners comfortably. There is also a table in the kitchen which often gets used for food prep or as a buffet for family style dinners.
Kitchen has its own window A/C unit to keep the cooks cool.
Just outside the kitchen is a large dining room with a table that can seat 8-10. It can be used as the center for meals or for other family activities; board games, cards, crafts etc.
The center of activity outside is the raised deck off the porch. This is a large space with an eating area that seats 8 plus a sitting area with lounges and chairs that can seat another 6-8. On nice days, most meals happen on the deck. The large weeping willow tree and umbrellas keep things cool and you have a front row seat for lake activities or our beautiful sunsets.
Down below there is a large lakefront lawn area with a fire pit. The long seawall is a great spot for shallow water fishing, as is the boat dock. The dock has stair access to the swimming area which starts out shallow and very slowly deepens as you walk out. The water at the end of the 60' dock is deep enough to safely bring in a boat with an outboard motor or outdrive. A 4500lb boat hoist is on the end of the dock and is available for your boat. The hoist will not accommodate a poontoon boat. Water shoes are recommended for swimming.
There is a second building on the property; a three car garage. There is outside parking for six cars and enough space for a boat trailer. Inside the garage there is a new, half bath and a full laundry with a large capacity washer/dryer. These are available for use by occupants of the main cottage.
Other particulars are city water/sewer, large capacity hot water heater, and central air. Linens provided (sheets and towels). Checkin is 5pm, checkout is 10am. May be modified as needed to ensure proper cleaning.

This was our first time renting a cottage on Cayuga Lake and we enjoyed every moment. The cottage is very spacious and homey with comfortable furniture and plenty of places to stretch out or gather to eat, play cards, read, do puzzles, take naps or do nothing! The lake view is beautiful with gorgeous sunsets and there is a big firepit for hanging out around a bonfire. We brought a pontoon boat and our middle son brought his fishing boat and caught (and cooked) huge lake trout on both Cayuga and Owasco Lakes. We enjoyed eating at Wolffys and the Wheelhouse restaurant, visiting Muranda cheese factory and several local wineries as well as spending time in Seneca Falls. Joe and Madonna were lovely, welcoming hosts and so helpful with everything. Falls

Three generations family vacation staying at a great spot on Cayuga Lake. Listing was accurate. The house was very clean and tidy, and supplied with everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks, and swimming in the lake. Nice super quiet spot. The owners, Joe and Madona, were great! Beautiful deck with lots of seating, as well as a picnic table on the lawn and a fire pit, perfect for making S’mores! We had a great time!

The property location is amazing, right on the water, the backyard has a convenient deck, but also a doc, and a gorgeous (gorgeous) willow tree that adds to the view. The rooms were small but comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for all of the guests both at home and on the lake. The house has multiple common areas that are great for groups to have different areas to come together but also be separate. The kitchen is also incredibly well equipped. The owners were nearby, incredibly friendly and easy to contact. Our dog also appreciated the weekend.

We stayed for a week and had a great time. The open layout of the home is very inviting with plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. Access to the Lake was great and the owner allowed us to use his boat hoist for our boat. We also enjoyed using the large deck overlooking the lake. Lovely lake house
We loved our stay here - swimming, kayaking, fishing (although we weren't able to catch anything) or just sitting on the nice shaded deck and enjoying the lake views. When we weren't at the house we loved the hiking and wine tasting in the Finger Lakes area. The owners were friendly and accessible. We had a great time!

WONDERFUL!
BEAUTIFUL lakefront property with gorgeous views, easy level access to lake. Incredible sunsets from the expansive deck equipped with comfortable and spacious seating for our extended family gathering. House was immaculate with abundance of linens, towels and blankets. Sleeping for 10 was easy with 4 separate bedrooms and comfortable pull-out couches on the enclosed porch with lake views. It was great to have 3 kayaks available for use and with easy lake access. The owners were so friendly, respectful and helpful and my family had a wonderful time. A true gem! We would definitely stay again and again.

Fun & Relaxing Vacation
Beautiful property exactly as described. Very clean and well stocked with clean linens and all you could need to cook in the kitchen or on the grill. We rented a boat and were able to use the lift out front and it was very easy and convenient. Did some fishing and kayaking with the kayaks at the property, tubing and wineries. The dogs loved lounging on the fenced in deck, I have escape artist small dogs and was worried the would squeeze through the spindles, but when we got here we saw they couldn’t so that was great as well.
Great stay, everyone is sad to leave and go back to reality.

The location of the house was perfect, right on the lake with amazing sunset views. The house was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Communication with Joe was seamless. We would recommend staying at this home!

Know what you’re getting into. Over attentive owner and shared laundry and bathroom.
The house was very clean, kitchen had plenty of pans and dishes that you would need. Lots of sheets, towels and blankets were available. Joe, the owner, met us upon our arrival. This is not a negative review by any means but I wish I had known that the washer and dryer and one of the bathrooms is in the owners home. It is described as being across the driveway which is true however it is part of the owners home. I did not enjoy sharing a washer dryer with the owners and having to remove their wet laundry in order to do my own. I did one load and didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Joe, the owner, is always available. He lives right behind the rental and keeps a good eye on your every move. Some folks may like this, we felt very uncomfortable like we were being watched every minute. We would not rent this house again but that is just us.

The property is located at the northern end of the lake where the water was very warm. Good fishing and water sports. Cottage was nice with plenty of room and had pretty much everything we needed. Owners where great along with the neighbors.

Cayuga Lake, sun and wine
We had a great week on Cayuga Lake. The weather was beautiful!! Joe and Madonna are great hosts. They met us when we arrived and were very helpful. We enjoyed the deck, kayaks and wineries. Our timing was good, as the wineries were just beginning to open. We felt very safe. Most people wore masks and we enjoyed most tastings outside. The indoor ones are set up for social distancing. We had six people during our stay and it worked out well. We enjoyed the fire pit a couple nights and sunsets were gorgeous!!!

Good Time Vacation.
The house was comfortable, not fussy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, good knives. We cooked together in the kitchen, 3 women and occasionally a man or 2 also. Not a giant room but well laid out. The bedrooms were comfortable, good storage in the rooms. The bathrooms were stocked with soap & shampoos. The linens were plentiful and easily accessible. The laundry room was across the street in the garage. The machines were large enough for a big load and detergent was supplied. The owners were very friendly and accessible. It was a great house for our group. The outdoor deck in the back of the house was great. We ate all our dinners there. The dock at the lake had a hoist for the boat. Super week. Carol V.

From the sunsets to the views from the deck, this home is fantastic! The Owners, Joe and Madonna are amazing, very accomdating and easy to reach...this home is spotless and has literally everything you need, so well apppinted! Quaint little towns nearby and amazing parks with gorgeous waterfalls! The guys caught loads of lake trout and some big basd (5-6 lbs)! We had a great stay---highly recommend...

Reunion!
Coming from Southern California, Ohio and Pennsylvania we planned a cousin reunion in the Finger Lakes region. We were so fortunate to find this place. It felt like we were coming back to out grandparents place on the lake. Comfy, cozy the house surrounded us with warmth and nostalgia. Impeccably clean and filled with everything we could possibly need we spent lovely evenings on the deck watching spectacular sunsets, paddling on the calm lake and of course visiting the local sites. We were close enough to easily enjoy Seneca Falls and of course hiking and wine tasting.
Joe and Madonna are wonderful hosts and do everything they can to make your stay memorable.

Wonderful getaway location!
We booked this property for a friends getaway weekend and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The house is located on a quiet part of Cayuga lake and has awesome views from the deck and many of its rooms. Our group of 7 had plenty of space to move around. We’ve stayed in the Fingerlakes for the past few years and our group agreed that this is the best house we’ve been to without question. The house is very clean and well stocked. The kitchen in particular had everything that we needed to prepare meals. Our hosts, Joe and Madonna, were welcoming and friendly and answered all of my questions during my trip planning process. I happily recommend booking this home!

Beautiful house, beautiful setting!
Our group of 7 ladies had a wonderful weekend stay at Joe and Madonna's lovely house. It is extremely clean and very well cared for, as well as being super comfortable. There is a large dining room table and plenty of comfy seating. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck with our morning coffee - again, there is plenty of seating for everyone. The lake is gorgeous and just a few feet away! Unfortunately, our weather was too cool for swimming or kayaking, but we loved the lake's proximity. We also enjoyed the fire pit. And we were treated to a stunning sun set! The house is very well equipped with kitchen gadgets, bedding and towels. It is a great place to gather. I highly recommend it!

All the comforts of home and more in a beautiful and peaceful lakefront location
Our family of 8 recently spent the week in this lovely well-stocked lakefront home. Our pre-arrival expectations were exceeded in every respect thanks to the attention to every detail by the home's owners, Joe and Madonna. The home was so completely well equipped that we literally could have brought nothing except ourselves and our clothes. The kitchen has every accessory necessary to prepare family meals of any sort and includes an array of modern appliances including 2 refrigerators, stove/oven, toaster oven, and dishwasher.
The house was immaculately cleaned prior to our arrival and was stocked with all essential paper products as well as soaps/shampoos for the bathrooms. Our family of 8 had more than enough room to enjoy a restful and peaceful week of touring in the area, enjoying the wineries, catching the amazing sunsets on the large rear deck, talking around the firepit (even the wood was available and offered to us), having family meals and playing games at the large dining table, and enjoying the water (thanks also to Joe and Madonna for allowing us to use the 3 kayaks and rowboat!).
I could go on and on but I want to conclude by saying that for our family, who have in the past used Airbnb and other rental companies to stay in homes in Croatia and Slovenia, we enjoyed this the most by far. Joe and Madonna were/are such humble and welcoming people who only want for you to maximize your enjoyment during your time in their lakehouse. My family is already talking eagerly about our next chance to stay here and we look forward to seeing Joe and Madonna once again. Thanks Joe and Madonna for sharing your little piece of tranquility with my family.

Beautiful sunset view and plenty of space to play yard games!
Joe and Madonna take such good care of their property. They were close by and made sure we had everything we needed. The gardens and hanging baskets were lovely. The house was so clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our week long stay. The dock was great for fishing. We kayaked and swam as well. The big dining room table fit all 11 of us to play games at. We had a great time!
