The property itself is beautiful once you arrive there. Beautiful views, and a great size house.
The description on all of the rental sites claims 70 steps, but what it fails to tell you is that prior to getting to the last 70 steps there is a series of additional steps, ramps, walkways, cobblestones, and more steps. It would take approximately 10 minutes to get from where you park to get there, so once you’re in the house you do not leave for the day if you think you have to come back. I recommend this property for a type of person that is very active and is used to hiking but again once you’re inside the house it’s very beautiful with beautiful views.

Amazing location and views and great space for a family of 4! The swimming pool was amazing for the children and loved the great canopy shade over it for when it for very hot.
The location is high up like most of the fabulous villages on amalfi coast so you need to do a lot of walking / stepping: However we managed very well once we figured out that Piazza San Luca was where we should walk to and from and it was in the end extremely manageable and enjoyable especially at night after a lovely meal when we could walk and see the vista over the ocean!

Upon arrival, Luigi asked us to collect the keys from a ceramic shop in Positano. We were greeted by his son, who led us to the villa. Fortunately, he helped us with our luggage cause it was quite the walk from where we parked the car to the villa. But once at the villa, the views were outstanding.
The location allows you just park the car and leave it. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distances, and a shop for the essentials. Takeaway pizza from La Moressa was fabulous, but make sure you have a drink at the bar whilst you wait. You can walk a little further into Praiano proper for a larger market, fishmonger, and everything you need. Another bonus if you go in the middle of summer is it has air condition - major bonus!
I would have to look at the property description again, but I believed it mentioned you needed to access by a walkway and go down about 80 stairs to get to the villa, but it didn’t mention the 10 minute walk to get to the stairs to get to the villa. But if you have decent mobility, it shouldn’t put you off booking it because as I said above, the views are outstanding.

This is an historic property with amazing views and frescos. The views are simply breathtaking.
There will be a walk to get what you need. I convenient pickup spot is the Piazza San Luca which is closer with fewer stairs.

Beautiful and historic villa that was perfectly located on the top of Praiano. We booked this villa for our honeymoon. We love how quiet and private it is and that we had the pool all to ourselves. the views we just breathtaking!
The host was unable to assist us with any sort of tour activities or transportation recommendations so we had to spend quite some time figuring all of that out. They did leave us with the bus route which was pretty straight forward but no info about taxis or transfer services.
We got lucky and found Gianluca with Praiano Car Service and we really went out of his way to ensure we got from place to place.
As all the reviews mention, there are a lot of stairs and walkways with inclines. Be prepared to do a lot of stair climbing because this it common everywhere in Praiano. BRING SNEAKERS!!
We enjoyed the frequent stair climbing because you get to see so much more beautiful things this way 😌
We had 5 oversized bags that we had to carry up 200 stairs and over the walkway to the piazza. The two of us had to take multiple trips so I’d coordinate some help with you bags upon check-out / pick-up.
Our driver finally arrived in time to help us load the last one but I don’t recommended trying this yourself if you have a bad back injury like myself. arrange for assistance for sure!

The steps and a little bit remote

Pool and views were amazing, having 2 bathrooms worked well for us as 2 couples sharing. Local shop had really good produce though only open mornings.
Beds could be comfier (I prefer a soft mattress), and not enough towels provided (seem to have had only 3 when we were 4 people)

Our vacation at villa Antica was perfect! We arrived with a small Transporter to take our motor bike with us and Luigi and his son helped us getting the bike out and we were allowed to park the transporter at Luigi’s factory. They also helped us with the luggage and carrying everything up the stairs. The view from the villa is amazing and everything else perfect. The pool was fun and the lounging area very relaxing.
It did not bother us but of course there are a lot of steps to get to the villa. But otherwise you could not have this magnificent view! We liked hearing the church bells (praiano is much quieter and relaxing than positano), but if you don’t, this is not the right place for you.

We spent great days at Villa Antica this summer in July. Our priority was to house with a pool and not to have a lot of people around. That is exactly what Villa is offering. It's a beautiful, comfortable house with great equipment and wonderful design elements. In addition, here you can enjoy outdoor furniture produced by homeowners (the table is fabulous). Nor can the house-ceiling murals be mentioned.
And of course, a view, a view, and a view again. It soothes and recharges at the same time.
Homeowners are very receptive - will tell everything, help with transport, etc. Close to 2 grocery stores. You can go to the beach, but I recommend taking a bus, especially back, because of too many steps to climb.
I say again, be prepared to climb a lot. But it is typical of the entire Amalfi coast. If you want to output and nightlife, you should look for another location, e.g. Positano. If it's enough for nice restaurants - this is a place for you. In addition, many restaurants offer free shuttle buses to get to and back to your home.
It is a little to understand the transport system when it is learned - there are no problems. The bus can travel quickly and easily.
There are no minuses, but there is no shipping traffic with other cities - only water taxis.

Swimming pool
Nicely decorated with local style ceramic art and intricately painted ceilings
Amazing view to Mediterranean
Was a bit further away from the civilization than I imagined, but this was our first trip to the Amalfi coast

The property is beautiful. The ocean view and sunset is amazing.
The long walk with suitcases from the parking to the Villa.

A very nice Villa, however some equipement would need renovation.

Loved being in Praiano, glad went with a more tranquil, less touristy location where we felt part of the community. The Villa itself was beautiful, really clean and the views were phenomenal. The swimming pool was also perfect for cooling off and just lounging around. The owners’ son was professional and courteous, and made sure we were settled in before he left us alone.
The Villa is fairly high up so except for some great restaurants and small grocery stores, had to take the bus to get around, even down to the Praiano marina. The location was worth it for us though, views were great.
