About this apartment rental
The Cottage at Harlinsdale Farm! Quaint 1900's duplex apartment located in Downtown Franklin AND sits on the edge of a 200 acre park - former horse farm. PET FRIENDLY! Duplex has a living room, bedroom w/Queen bed, kitchen and bath. Your dog will love the lake/park! Very private and located in the heart of Franklin's attractions!......
The Space - This cozy 1900's cottage offers the best of both worlds, you are located at historic downtown Franklin AND beside Harlinsdale Park! The RIGHT side/duplex is available for guest! It is completely separate with your own private front door entrance with no shared spaces (the left duplex is owner occupied). You will enjoy being in the heart of everything Franklin has to offer! Walk out your back door and step onto the beautiful Harlinsdale farm! We are pet friendly! Walk to the lake (our lab loves to swim in it!) See the beautifully restored barn, the manicured walking trails, and have a picnic (we provide the picnic basket with cheese and crackers:-). Enjoy concerts in the park (view Franklin events calendar for Harlinsdale Park). Walk across the street to the historic Factory which has been restored into a shopping mall offering antiques, unique shops and restaurants (Saffires is delicious). Behind The Factory is the Farmer's Market offering organic fruits, vegetables and much more (open on weekends-seasonal). To visit downtown Franklin, make a right out of your cottage driveway and within 2 minutes you are in the heart of historic Franklin! ( the cottage is a prime location near the square, sometimes traffic can be a little heavy on Franklin Rd:-). Catch a show at the original Franklin Theater. Visit charming shops and restaurants on Main St! I recommend a steak at the "Cork and Cow". The "Red Pony" has a great Southern menu, as does "55 South" also. Go for a drive and take in the architecture of many homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The cottage sits on Main Street (Franklin Rd) as you approach the Franklin Square, and is surrounded by the 200 acre park with direct access from your yard. The cottage is a charming and quaint home away from home!

Quiet and comfortable. Owner/ host was a delight.

Great location, cute cottage but risky drive in/out of property. Also consider obtaining a smaller apartment sized refrigerator and removing faux fireplace both are currently make rooms feel smaller

Stepping back in time, this cottage definitely gives the feel of yesteryear. It is small, cozy and has everything you need as well as being adjacent to a great outdoor space.
Also, you are walking distance from downtown Franklin and the Factory shops are just across the street.

We placed a client of ours in this beautiful property. Our client enjoyed his stay here and the host was helpful. The host communicates well and worked well with us helping this family out while they had to be out of their home. We would most assuredly recommend this property for your next stay.

Adequate. Small, not that comfortable. Not very conductive to older clients. Convenient to downtown.

My daughter and I had a delightful stay and explore in Franklin! Everything about our visit was perfect! The cottage was cute, well appointed and situated just outside of the fun walking town filled with boutique shops and kind people!
Sadly, there is no hot tube - however wished for there’s no room for it and it really wasn’t missed!

Pastoral setting at horse farm and city park, with easy access to downtown Franklin. Small, but charming cottage. Well equipped. Host is very friendly and a good communicator. Would recommend this property to singles or couples. The cottage next door has two bedrooms, so appropriate for family or two couples.

The location right next to Harlinsdale Park is amazing, and the host makes it very easy to check in and out.

This was the perfect location for some extended travel to the Franklin area. We could have stayed at the conference hotel, but we arrived a weekend before our conference and wanted to see the sights of Franklin and be able to bring our dog. We also wanted to be able to get exercise while spending some other long days in a conference center. The location could not have been better, we were able to take long walks, bike rides and visit a fantastic dog park on foot every morning! The Harlinsdale Park in surrounding property is also a stunning amenity (the amenities here are lovely). And we walked and biked to downtown Franklin which is a darling pedestrian city with so many dog lovers! We loved the coziness and homey feeling of the cottage which is restored and furnished in a way to be really historic to its circa. And having our own space to live, read and cook a few meals/make real coffee instead of eating a bunch of conference food etc was such a huge plus! Our host was wonderful! Check in and check out were very easy and we had all the small comforts we needed to stay for 6 nights! If you are looking for 5 star hotel luxury, go stay at the hotel. If you want a really peaceful, cozy and local experience this is definitely the right place. We are already planning another stay!

The listing was smaller than expected but it was a wonderful stay. The surroundings are beautiful and the town of Franklin was a great time and just a short walk away.

I wish I could give the location/property 10 stars. If you have a dog, this is the best place I have ever stayed. My dog was in absolute heaven. It's so convenient and close to downtown and the horse farm is incredible.
Host was amazing as well. Its small and quaint, an old farmhouse with modern decor feel.

First, the hosts were so welcoming and communicated early and often to make sure we had all of the details we needed to get in safely and efficiently.
The cottage itself is lovely and full of wonderful antiques. It was clean and cozy and just what we needed for our weekend stay. The location is most ideal—10 minute walk to downtown, steps from the a beautiful field/park and the BEST dog park. Our dog had the time of his life with us.
I couldn’t recommend this place more. If you’re coming to Franklin, especially with a dog, choose this cottage

Our stay in Franklin at this property was simply great. The property is located on the periphery of the Harlinsdale Park/Horse farm. We spent an hour or two walking the farm every day. The sunsets across the rolling hills here are indescribable. The property itself exceeds the pictures and description and was perfect for our stay. And our host could not have been any better -- will definitely stay here again.

Cute, vintage cottage next to a great park to walk your dog. Main street with cute shops about a mile down the road. There is road construction right now but will be great when it is all done. Communication was great from renting to check- out .

This property is a cute renovated old cottage with lots of charm and uniqueness. Close to the wonderful downtown Franklin and only a short drive to many more restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the personal touches of this cottage and our host was very responsive to any inquiries we had. Would definitely return!

Great Get-away
My wife and I wanted to be able to take our dogs (Lab and Jack Russell) on vacation with us. The challenge we faced wa the weight limits on pets for may VRBO's. This place was perfect. It is directly next door to a dog park with a lake. We would get up early and let the dogs swim and take them for hike on the clearly marked trails. While the pups rested we would venture into Franklin. The only downfall is the contraction on the street in front of the house. I am not complaining, Melanie made us fully aware of this before we rented. One the construction is complete there will be great sidewalks to take you into town.
I will stay here again.

The cottage was just perfect for our girls weekend. The location is great - super close to the Factory & downtown Franklin. Being able to walk straight from the Cottage to Harlinsdale park was so nice.

Perfect Getaway
After too long without a vacation, my husband and I needed to get away and Nashville/Franklin is a favorite spot. This stay could not have been more perfect! From the timely communication, the easy check in/out, the small conveniences you forget about needing until you are there(can opener for dog food, umbrellas, hooks all over for clothes, purses, hats, and ALLLLL the USB charging outlets everyone needs/uses now), I don't know I would want to stay anywhere else. There was construction outside the cottage that we were advised of ahead of time but never heard with the AC on, you are minutes to the square and if traveling with a pup like we were, the lanterns to get you to the walking trails/dog run were such a welcome touch. The host even checked in with us part way through our stay to make sure everything was ok. I cannot say enough great things about her or the stay!

Good Place to Stay..
This cottage is on the small side. But if you want to be close to Franklin and see the sights around there it is in an excellent spot. The cottage is very close to a high travel road and that might put some people off. For us it was very convenient and would have been easily quiet enough but for the road work being done. All in all we feel it was just fine for our stay. The host was very helpful with local attractions knowledge. Melanie steered us to some sights we would easily have overlooked. Overall a very nice experience.

Short but Sweet Stay
We only stayed one night as we were just passing through, but these accommodations worked out great for us. It's an old house with a lot of charm next to a beautiful farm that's been converted to a public park. We were traveling with our two dogs, so access to the park was perfect for them to get some exercise after the long day in the car. Communication with the owner was perfect - the house was easily accessible and close to many food options. It is close to the road, so there's traffic noise with the front door open but it didn't impact our sleep. We'd definitely stay there again while passing through.

Cozy cottage
This was a wonderful cottage for our visit to Franklin and Nashville. Located right next to a fabulous park. Our dog especially loved the very large dog park. Short walk to The Factory for donuts and ice cream. The cottage is right on Main Street and there is construction but it did not bother us. The cottage was very clean and had everything that you would need. There was a picnic basket with snacks and water in the fridge. A lot of extra touches to make you feel like home. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect quick Christmas getaway
We had a family gathering nearby and needed to have a place to stay overnight with our 2 dogs. This small cottage was perfect! The park outside the back door was fabulous for walking and exploring with them. Bed was comfy, shower was great, and coffee/snacks provided were a great touch. Great location. Great host.

Great little spot
My second time staying here and it was just as cozy as last time. Great location - rural but very near town and good coffee shop is right around the corner.

Comfortable and Adorable
I could not have asked for a better place to stay. So cute and cozy. And the mattress is quite possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The farm/park in the backyard makes you forget you are in a city. Very, very clean and well stocked with essentials and nice extras. I cannot say enough about Melanie, she was beyond nice and welcoming. She was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. I will most definitely be returning!

Cozy and quaint
This is a very sweet place to stay. It's part of a very large property that is a little famous. It is on the main road which was a little loud but once we were inside and closed the door, it didn't seem to bother us at all. We liked that it was Close to historic downtown Franklin. And we walked to a mall called The Factory Where we had a fun dinner and amazing ice cream. And we watch the bakers make donuts through the window. We like this area very much and it's a quick getaway for my husband and I who lives about 3 1/2 hours away.

The most amazing cottage with the nicest host!
The host is absolutely amazing - so warm and helpful when we communicated. The property is cute, clean and has everything you need. The best part is it backs on to a beautiful park with walking paths and a little lake. We had a picnic there every night! Also very close to downtown Franklin. Highly recommend!!!
