About this house rental
Treasure Cove is finished and ready for the 2018 Season. This is our third cabin in a cove on Norris Lake. All three cabins have a similar floor plan and next door to each other. Look up Pirates Cove #681261 on VRBO for more pictures and reviews. We are situated in Lakeside Estates which is a gated community with its own boat launch, and swimming pool.
Pirates and Treasure Cove are built with families in mind.
There are 9 spacious bedrooms with attached private bathrooms. Half bath or powder room on top and bottom floor for everyone's use. Walk out the patio door to the waterfront, enjoy the double decker dock with slide and a view of Norris Lake. We are in a quiet cove, there are no waves from lake traffic, great swimming for all ages.
The top floor has a large open kitchen equipped with 2 large refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, range, 2 large pantries, large bar that seats 7, granite counter tops, dining room and living room. Kitchen is well equipped with dinnerware, pots N pans, and too many small appliances to mention. There are 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms on top floor, one bedroom has a queen bed and one has a king bed. The open living room and kitchen have rustic wood interior with an awesome view of the cove.
The middle floor has a centralized washer/dryer and living area. The four bedrooms on this floor have attached bathrooms. All four bedrooms are furnished with a queen bed, a day bed and attached bathroom. Living room area on middle floor walks out to a quite patio to relax on.
Bottom floor has three bedrooms with attached bathrooms and half bath for everyone to share. One bedroom has 2 bunk beds (full on bottom and twin on top), one bedroom with a queen bed and twin trundle, and one with a queen bed. Another refrigerator, bar table, game room with 2 arcade games, and TV/livingroom area.
Please note from October to April we have seasonal water and the dock will be removed. Don't worry The fun never stops at Treasure!

Our family, ages from 4 years to 78 years, have been coming to Lakeside Estates on Norris Lake for 10 years. This was the nicest location we've stayed at so far. Everyone was very happy to have their own bathroom. If you are thinking you'll need all of the bed spaces, it is worth reaching out to the owners to clarify the beds in a few of the bed+bunk+trundle. The house also has multiple fold-away twin bed cushions to help if you have lots of kids to shift around various rooms. The kitchen/dining area had plenty of seating for all 21 of us - which made socializing easy and enjoyable. One minor issue were the number (or lack of) large storage containers for serving and storing food for that large a crowd - we solved it with $20 at Walmart on a few large mixing bowls that we now have in our "annual Norris Lake" box.
The dock was in great shape and the cove where this house is located is great for safe swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding, while also only being a 7-8 min no-wake to the main lake. There is storage for their lily pad, canoes and paddle boards at the dock so, if you also rent these from the owners, you don't have to drag them down from the deck at the top of the house. A big plus for actually then using that equipment.
Overall I'd highly recommend the place.

The house was very nice and clean and everyone loved the lake. The only item listed that was not there was an ice machine in the game room but we still loved our stay

We had our whole family ranging from 2-64 and everyone was happy! The cove is so nice for floating and playing. The kids all loved the slide and jumping dock.
The layout of the home was perfect for our group, with plenty of areas to gather yet plenty of space for privacy! I honestly can’t think of a thing that needs changed. The kitchen was well stocked with any small appliances you could need.

This is our second year at the house. It has room for everyone - a bathroom for every bedroom. Access to the lake is easy, and the cove is quiet. We enjoyed wake boarding, boating and activities on the dock the slide and jumping off the dock. Kids had a great time.. the kitchen is well stocked and has 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. A great week for everyone from grandparents to infants!

My extended family had a great vacation at Treasure Cove. With 12 adults and nine children, we had space to spread out. The kids loved the basement area in the evening (though were disappointed there was no air hockey table) and the adults played cards in the kitchen.
A lot of stairs to the dock, but we expected that. The water was wonderful and everyone had fun sliding and jumping off the dock, and swinging off the rope across the water from our dock.
We were able to explore more of the lake because we brought a speed boat and rented a pontoon for three days. We found a small cove and parked both boats in the cove for the afternoon so we could enjoy another part of the lake.

Very nice property with a few small maintenance items that I reported to the owner to take care of for future guests. Overall a vacation that was enjoyed by the entire family.

Great house for.Family Reunion
Lake is missing in winter is the one thing I wish I had been told before. However great house for hanging out, cooking, eating, and catching up, rooms are rather large. They went out of there way to get us something we left behind as well.

Christmas family gathering
We selected this property to get together several family units for Christmas together. One family got Covid at the last minute but the others were able to come and we were very comfortable. The beds and attached baths were great. Hot rub, ar are games, common areas and decks provided great space for games and conversations. Food was central to the gathering and the kitchen was very nice with the two refrigerators and two dishwashers to help manage the group of about 20 people comfortably. Good location for a quiet, family focused rime.

Loved every minute
We loved every minute of our stay! We were here celebrating a new marriage and anniversary, five couples in all. The house was beautiful, clean, and well stocked, owners were easy to contact. If I had to say anything that we didn’t like it would be that none of the bedrooms have tv’s however there are tv’s in the lounge area on each floor, the WiFi sucks but no fault of the property just the location, and there are a million stairs leading to the dock but the docks are very nice; none of these mentioned was enough to say that we didn’t get what we paid for the property is absolutely beautiful.

Amazing location and House!!!
The house was perfect for our group! The entire space was very clean, open and perfect for a large group. With plenty of bedrooms and connected bathrooms, everyone could be together or have time to get away. The location was ideal being in a no wake zone. Your boat will be safe as well as your group swimming in the water. You'll love this rental!

Group lake trip
Group of 29 family and friends and first time to TN for all but 2 of us. We absolutely loved this house and area and have all said we'll be back again! The house was even nicer than the pictures show. Was very nice to have the pontoons right there and kids loved jumping from the deck and using the slide. No fish caught but they had fun trying. Thank you!

Fantastic Family Fun
We filled all the rooms. It was so much fun. The owners were great to work with and responded to any questions immediately. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars for listing is the beds in each room are not the same as the listing so room placement changed when we got there but everything worked out. Would definitely recommend!

Great Trip! Can’t wait to go back again.
House and Dock were great as advertised. Be sure to rent the pontoon boat. Parking is one of the best in the area, room for six cars. High speed internet was a plus. The owners are awesome, so easy to deal with and very prompt with their responses. Will definitely be back again.

Treasure Cove Getaway
The property is wonderful family really enjoyed themselves and was very comfortable. The owner is available at all times to assist you with any situation that may arrive. Bedroom description need a little updating. The contracted overseers should do a walk through with new tenents and make themselves available or at least return phone calls. This is a very beautiful location and you will really enjoy the comforts of your stay. Would be a five star, but only gave in four because of the contracted overseers, not being available.

NYE 2020
This property was a mixed bag. After many multiple wonderful stays at VRBO properties, this one is the first that really fell short of my expectations. Don’t get me wrong, the owner of the property is a very sweet lady, and she tried hard to accommodate us, but there were some things beyond her control. The internet connection is TERRIBLE at this property. We thought when we booked that we would be able to get work done on the trip and it was impossible due to the non existent WiFi. We couldn’t even stream a show on Netflix much less use zoom or webex. The kitchen was great and had everything you could need. We all ate well and loved having two dishwashers and refrigerators. The beds and mattresses left a little to be desired. They weren’t terrible, but they weren’t great. The living room areas had comfy furniture to lounge around in. The decks were okay, but need lights replaced badly. The dock in the pictures online is not part of the property, which would have been nice to know in advance. Also, apparently between December and March the water in the channel is dammed, so the view was more of a mud pit than a lake, but obviously this isn’t the owner’s fault. All and all, we had wonderful company and had a great time, but as the hostess, I was stressed about the things that didn’t work and thought the price point was a bit too high for what we got.

Christmas fun 2020
The location is remote, however the owner provided excellent directions. We were disappointed that the river was all but completely gone - apparently it dries up during winter months? That should probably have been mentioned at some point, but the house itself was exactly as posted and gave our large family plenty of space to enjoy! We had a wonderful stay!

A true gem
The pics of the house do not do it justice! It is absolutely beautiful, well kept up and plenty of space. We had everything we needed and more. The owners were super nice as well. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! Loved, loved, loved it!

Weekend Getaway
We had a group of friends get together for the weekend to celebrate 2 birthdays. Property was as listed. Location was beautiful. Owner was excellent. Even changed Dish package while we were there so that we could watch college football games that we wanted to see. Only complaint was that the internet on site was very slow. Unfortunately, due to the remoteness of the location, I am not sure there is a lot that the owner can do about that. Worked fine for streaming music, just don't expect any streaming video. All in all, excellent property. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect getaway
Great experience from start to finish.
Great instructions how to get there.
Seemless check in (and out) process
Very clean and organized
Onsite management and maintenance made themselves readily available (great communication via text and in person)
Huge open Space on upper level of house made having made the 17 of us not feel cramped at all.
Double fridge and double dishwasher with bonus fridge in the basement was so nice to have.
We stayed the last weekend of summer (Sept 18-22) and while we are told the dam levels drop soon after, they were still high enough for us (thank goodness). Water was still quite warm and had great visibility (still around 8-10 feet).
Jumping bridge was a new challenges as the lake levels were about 5-6' lower than in July when we were there last.
Fish were biting (nice sized bluegills)
Turtles were visiting
Slide and upper deck on the dock were in constant use.
Having the boat right there instead of driving too a Marina was a great peek too.
The pool toys were in use constantly as well (thank you!)

Spectacular Place!
This place is amazing - furnished very nicely. View of the cove from the deck is awesome. Great location in a private cove. Large grill was very useful. 2 large refrigerators in kitchen. Owners are very responsive to all questions. 5 stars across the board for me and my group ! Hope to be back !

Nice Place For Lake Vacation
Nice place. Certainly accommodates a crowd well. Owner was very responsive throughout. Cell service is bad and WIFI is slow (not owners fault.) Place was pretty clean - but if you are OCD it might not meet your needs. The cove is a bit "urban" in that houses are close. Our last night a bachelorette party showed up across the way and could be hear until 4am. If you bring a boat - make sure to ask where the launch ramp is ahead of time and don't take your boat straight to the house. Overall great place for a large group that likes the water.

Very Pleased!!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Treasure Cove during the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin had lots of space, very clean, and not far from grocery stores and local shops. The owners provided us with clear directions that took us straight to the cabin with no issues.

The home was great with having so many bedrooms and bathrooms! The amenities with the extra fridges and pantry were so helpful. We had some minor issues with things not working quite right but overall would recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent location to relax.
We had 8 couples stay for a long weekend. Plenty of room for us all and still had a bedroom free. Almost no boat traffic in the cove so you could just hang out there in the water if you wanted. We rented the water toys and a couple boats too from owners too. None of use got back in our cars until it was time to head for home.
The house was very clean and furniture all in great shape. Lots of fridge space too. Really nice deck to play on too. We had no complaints and a great weekend.

Couldn't be better!!!!!!!!!!
We found Treasure Cove about 10 min. from LaFollette, TN (short trip for groceries). We consider ourselves very fortunate to find a place with 9 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. Our kids and grandkids loved it!!
The property is perfect. As soon as we walked into the upper floor we were awed by the decor of treasure chests, jewels and nautical look. We got the welcoming feeling right away and found everything needed that made our weekend a winning success. The owners paid close attention to details, from the well-stocked kitchen with dual major kitchen appliances, and especially the large bedrooms and private bathrooms that guaranteed our personal space.
Young and old, we had a ball doing something or nothing at all. Fishing off the dock in the early and late hours. The double dock with a water slide, the pontoon and water toys were enjoyed by all.
I strongly recommend this property for any family gathering, reunion, retreat, or any type of get together. We parked in front of the cabin and had room for 5 large trucks and 2 cars and still could have parked one more.
We will certainly return again !!!!!!!!!!!

Treasure Cove Has It All
Treasure Cove truly has it all! The location is amazing. The house sits in a quiet cove perfect for swimming and playing in the water, and yet it’s just a 10 to 20 minute drive into town to stock up on supplies. There are also some restaurants nearby, but you won’t want to leave the house - except to go pontooning or jet skiing!
The dock is awesome - we all had fun jumping off the upper level or slipping down the slide. I highly recommend renting the optional pontoon and water toys.
Our family has enjoyed vacationing together for over 20 years and we’ve always stayed at one of the many east coast beaches. This year we decided to try something different and we’re so glad we discovered Treasure Cove. We’re officially lake people now!
There were 18 of us this time, including adult children and their significant others, and we all had plenty of room to spread out. Having a private bathroom for every bedroom really helped us relax and enjoy our stay.
The kitchen is well equipped to handle a large group, with 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers, plus an additional refrigerator on the lower level. And the huge grill on the upper level deck made cooking a breeze.
Treasure Cove exceeded our expectations in every way. We plan on coming back!
