Was natürlich unmöglich ist.

Tropical Oasis, perfect Post Covid vacation
La Paloma is a wonderful villa in the heart of Las Terrenas. It was our first visit to the DR and Leslie made it very special. After not traveling for a year we chose Las Terrenas for the secluded beaches and restaurants. It did not disappoint. The villa is located 2 mins off the beach and walkable to the town and the beachside restaurants. It’s secluded and private and very secure. The pool was our favorite place to be, it’s surrounded by tropical plants, and tall palms. The villa has everything you need and if not, Leslie is always available to answer questions. We appreciated the water cooler, the floor fan, the coffee maker and the outdoor shower. The villa has the real feel of the Dominican, with beautiful artwork and furniture. The villa is clean and comfortable. Our visit was in April so the mosquitos were active but if you keep the doors closed and use bug spray they aren’t a problem. We loved waking up to the birds and watching tiny hummingbirds in the back yard. Leslie was a perfect host and we plan to return and stay at the villa again soon. I miss it already.

Perfect villa - pool, grill, gardens, steps to beach and town
This is a very nice villa decorated in a typical Dominican style. The owners - who are longtime Las Terrenas residents - are extremely hospitable and offer excellent insight and tips (local cuisine, shops, adventures). The home is comfortable for a family of 4, plus another couple or nanny. The location is quiet and private, yet only one block from Las Ballenas beach. The saltwater pool and outdoor showers are very nice. Indulge in a private massage outdoors under the palapa - superb! We loved it and hope to return again!

Christmas 2018 at Lesley and Bill House
From the start of our booking up to the end of our stay, Lesley and Bill have been fantastic and of a great support for the organization of our vacation. Their villa is great, full of charm and very well located, i.e. close to the beach and the village of Las Terranas, but sufficiently away so it is very quiet. We spent 11 nights, and will be ready to come back again!. We strongly recommend that location and the owners!.
Best Regards

Tropical Paradise One Block to Beach
We stayed 3 weeks this past Feb in Leslie and Bill’s La Paloma home. I wish I was there now. The house and pool are lovely. The gardens are beautiful. As usual photos don’t quite do it justice. We travelled almost 24 hours and were pretty grumpy when we arrived but Leslie and Bill were waiting for us though it was rather late. They were great hosts. But location location location. One block to the beach down a pretty ocean view lane. At the beach there are several outdoor restaurants in either direction. All wonderful. A few are French as Las Terrenas has a large French/European population. The town is crazy, crazy and I was more than happy to spend my time at the pool or down at the beach. Oh, and Santi, a sweet old beach dog. I miss her. Highly recommend.

A quiet and welcome respite close to LT's lively action
This spacious home has everything you need if you just want to be able to walk (3 min) to beach and restaurants and you don't require the amenities of an all inclusive. 3 good sized and comfortable bedrooms, fabulous outdoor dining and poolside lounging areas, an indoor living room we never used. OK wireless internet. No TV or radio, so bring your own tunes. One level living. Leslie and Bill are very attentive and helpful owner hosts who want to ensure you have what you need--Onsite massages, a stocked frig upon arrival, restaurant and beach tips, directions to dive shops and supermarket. We'd never been to the DR or LT before and were quickly acclimated. We brought our minimally ambulatory 91 year old mother who did just fine. Adjoining home availability makes for a great family compound. A good dose of evening mosquitos and no see ums, but hey, its the Caribbean. Bug dope is supplied! We'd do it again.

Amazing house and even better hosts.
We spent two weeks in the house and loved every second. The house is great for a holiday retreat, close to the beach and restaurants/bars. Lovely settings around the pool, could spend all day in the house and have a great time with the kids. Leslie and Bill are the best of hosts, very attentive and informative. I would highly recommend this house. We will definitely be back. Sebastian and Camila.

Best vacation stay, we will come back every year!
Starting several months before our trip i was in contact with the owner Leslie, she made it so easy to make arrangements for our trip and also very helpfull suggestions. The next step was being in contact with the property managers in Las Terrenas, Noemi and Alex, both of whom were very helpfull. upon arrival Alex met us at the house and gave us a quick tour, the house and property are BEAUTIFUL, lots of open air and space, nice and clean and comfortable, we attribute this in large part to the housekeeper Marisol, who is AWESOME, so nice and friendly, she went above and beyond by helping rearrange a bed and mosquito net for one of us so that we could sleep better, totally made her trip better! thank you Marisol.. The area around the house is also spectacular, just a short walk out the front gate and you are on the beach! clear blue water, palms and white sand. most all of the good restaurants, activities, bars and shops are within walking distance, there is also a taxi stand close by if you wish. the closest restaurants to the house are the hotel Alisei, which also has spa facilities and a pool. as you walk down the beach road you get to more restaurants, we loved the one love surf shack, tres lunas, and el pescadroes, which had the best most friendly staff and yummy and inexpensive food. a short walk past this area and you are in the main town, there are many souvenier shops, art galleries and bars, there is a good sized grocery store, even a french bakery with the best croisants this side of Paris!, lots to see and do. i must add that the people of Las Terrenas are THE BEST! they are the most friendly and helpful i have met in some parts of the world. If you have extra time, i would recomend going to Samana, there is not alot to do there, but it is beautiful, only a short drive from LT. i know this is alot of info, but it truely is a magical place, and staying at La Paloma added to the joy....We will for sure be back in years to come, we are already planning next years trip.

Return to LaPaloma..!!!! for the 2nd time...establishing a tradition!
We came back..it feels like home to us. We had so much fun again this year...there is so much exploring to do...lots of interesting history here. Bill and Leslie know the area so well, and understand the culture, and were able to make suggestions for visits, food, hikes, adventures. The pictures don't do LaPaloma justice..it is a magical place, nestled in beautiful flowers and trees with many nooks and hangout places.for reading or napping. They thought of everything....fans and mosquito nets over each bed and sitting area...It is quiet..in the morning the birds are fabulous. The beach is a 2 min. walk, and there are many beach bars and restaurants with any kind of food and drink you would want. we love it that we can brush up on our Spanish and French...and both are spoken here..This has been a perfect time of year for weather. Thanks for the wonderful time...see you in 12 months or less! Love the fact that we could do our laundry here, great line space, fresh air. M&D

Wonderful!!
What a fantastic experience - we had the most wonderful time at La Paloma. We were three couples and two toddlers and La Paloma was the perfect setting. Safe, quiet and extremely close to the beach. There were great private sitting areas for all and a 'heavenly' outdoor bar/grilling area for entertaining. The house was a short walk to town and dozens of beach bars. Bill and Leslie couldn't have been more gracious hosts, and had the house provisioned wonderfully, including details such as fresh water, flashlights, beach toys for the kids etc. We feel very lucky to have found La Paloma and are looking forward to returning in the very near future.

Vacation house
We had a lovely time in Las Terrenas and everything was just fine. Unfortunately, it rained (afternoon showers) and the misquitos were awful...I got eaten alive on the back patio...I guess I should be glad I was there as those poor things were starving..very strange misquitos as I never felt them bite, but then I would itch like crazy...lol. all in all we enjoyed our stay very much, the house was lovely, the beds compfy and the a/c was a life saver!! :) Great location ...nice walk to the beach, close to town, and the beach was great...found all sorts of shells, etc..Very well worth anyone wanting to stay there...only I would suggest in the "dry" season when the misquitos are not so hungry...lol :) Thanks everyone associated with this vacation...it was great..

Wonderful winter escape!
For anyone seeking a comfortable vacation house in a quiet location near a beautiful beach, this is it! La Paloma's lush setting provides just the right combination of sun and shade and is a wonderful oasis from the busy activity of downtown La Terrenes. The front yard was a favorite spot for enjoying bird activity and coffee; the backyard for evening dining. The kitchen is well equipped, the outside shower divine, and the overall layout perfect for a couple, family, or two couples. Everything was extremely well maintained and Leslie and Bill were fantastic hosts.. The beach is less than a two minute walk away. It was clean, minimally populated, and had many palm trees to provide shade. We walked to many restaurants (beachside and very casual), fruit/veggie stands, and the air conditioned grocery store. No one takes credit cards but there are plenty of ATMs. We rented a scooter for a few days and recommend it. The country side is gorgeous...coffee trees, mango, coconut, etc. Coson beach is another beautiful beach that is about 15 minutes away by scooter, car, or ATV. Good lunch at Luis's. We stayed for 10 days and had great weather...just one rainy day. A beautiful and relaxing vacation for us.

Perfect Beach Vacation
We spent a memorable week in this tropical paradise at the beginning of April. The house is a perfect walking distance from the beach (especially with young children) and yet close enough to the center of town for shopping and restaurants. The gardens surrounding the house are beautifully maintained and very private. The house itself is clean and spacious enough to accommodate a group of 6 (including 2 children). All of the beds except for the separate twin beds have mosquito netting which is definitely a must have during the season that we stayed. The owners went out of their way to show us around town, offer advice and assistance whenever we asked. Wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely return for another visit.

Family Reunion in Paradise
We, an extended family group of 7, rented La Paloma for 10 days, and also rented the 2br cottage on the other side of the property. This was perfect for the grand-kids (2 and 5) who could safely explore the extensive gardens without need for close supervision and come visit the grand-parents in the cottage without leaving the 1/2 acre compound. This is an ideal property for a family or 2-3 couples in a lovely location, close to the beach and within walking distance to town. La Paloma has a wonderful outdoor shower off the master bath that was perfect to wash off the salt water after returning from the beach. Leslie and Bill were very helpful and great to deal with, particularly as our plans changed and got more complicated due to a big snowstorm delaying our various departures. We all got there eventually and loved it! The house and cottage are separated by extensive gardens, so you will have privacy if you only rent La Paloma. Make sure not to miss Restauant Luis at nearby Playa Coson for a beautiful beach and great food.
