The guesthouse features two bedrooms—one with a queen bed and the other with a twin and a set of bunk beds. Amenities include A/C, flat-screen TVs with DIRECTV, and high-speed WIFI. A fully-equipped modern kitchen and linen package comes with the rental.

Your rental also includes a private dock and swimming float, as well as a propane grill with propane and a fire pit with firewood. You’ll also find a canoe and two kayaks and a paddle board with life jackets included.

Acadia National Park: Acadia National Park: In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson set aside 6000 acres (within what is now Acadia National Park) as Sieur de Monts National Monument. With the acquisition of more land and private support and funding, in 1919 President Wilson signed an act establishing Lafayette National Park. In 1929 the parks name was changed to Acadia. Acadia National Park was established to protect the area's spectacular scenic values, Maine's rock bound coast, its coastal and its offshore islands as characterized by the geologic features, natural history and the native plant and animal life. Forty five miles of rustic carriage roads weave around the mountains and through the valleys of Acadia National Park, the gift of philanthropist John D Rockefeller, Jr., and family. Rockefeller, a skilled horseman, desired to travel on motor free byways via horse and carriage into the heart of Mount Desert Island. His efforts resulted in roads with sweeping vistas and close up views of the landscape.

Cadillac Mountain: Cadillac Mountain: At 1,530 feet, Cadillac Mountain is not only the tallest mountain in Acadia National Park, but also the tallest mountain along the eastern coast of the United States. Rising high above the town of Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain offers magnificent views of the Porcupine Islands and Frenchman Bay. Explore the summit of this granite mountain along a .3-mile trail, which includes wayside exhibits about natural and human history. Portions of this trail are accessible to wheelchair users. Cadillac Mountain is accessible via a winding, narrow, 3.5-mile road. The road is closed from December 1 through April 14 and whenever weather conditions (e.g., dense fog or ice) require.

Great property! Loved having two dwellings because our dogs can be unruly around other humans. We stayed in the apartment while my brothers family and our mom stayed in the main house. The house was great. There is no tub, which was hard with a 2-year-old. The apartment was ok. A fruit fly infestation in the apartment made drinking red wine impossible, unless you like a little protein in your drink. The owner, Josh, was amazing! Very helpful and friendly. Responded quickly when an AC unit malfunctioned in the main house. Loved the pontoon boat! Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat if you stay!!

We had another great week in Maine at one of Josh Greer’s properties. The two houses have everything we need for our families to have a great week. We have been renting from Josh for several years and he takes care of all the things we need to make the week very enjoyable.

We’ve stayed at this property for six years in a a row and seven overall at Chemo. It’s always a fun-filled time with family and close friends. Peaceful Place is well maintained and affords all the amenities our family and friends need to enjoy the week. Add a pontoon and everyone’s happy!!!

Everything was great. Some issues popped up that the owner fixed the same day. Very slight drawback was the so very early checkout time (9:00) was a bit tricky with the younger kids.

We had our children and grand children meet us for a week get together. Plenty of room for the 3 families. We all enjoyed the property, views and all the lake activities. Would definitely rent this one again if we go back.
