We had fabulous view and the house was very inviting and felt like home.

The Zamar House is a beautifully maintained historic home, perfectly decorated. Yet it has all the modern amenities to make our stay amazing. Within walking distance to Jerome's shops and restaurants!

Overall very nice stay. Not a great property for children (due to floor plan, layout etc) but works well for a group of friends.

Zamar house was perfect for our 3 couples that had been in residency together. It is decorated really nice! The beds are comfortable, and we each had our own bathrooms. The neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed cooking, eating, and playing cards, as well as walking around Jerome. Zamar house was the perfect place for us to gather.

The Zamar House is everything you love about Jerome with just enough updates to still feel very modern. You basically get 2 separate houses: the upstairs and downstairs. We had 2 couples in our group and we each had our own private space. So much charm! The host is very accommodating and responsive. Dedicated parking for 2 vehicles. You're going to walk some stairs but it's Jerome... it's gonna happen!! It's actually a very level walk into town which was a great bonus as we were expecting major inclines. All-in-all we couldn't have been happier. Thank you Gretchen!!

This is the best experience we have ever had with a VRBO. The place was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly located. It is quiet at night and feels safe. We really enjoyed our time here and are already making plans to come back. We love Jerome, and staying in this well kept, historic home was incredible. Thank you for the love you put into the Zamar House! It does not go unnoticed!!

My (adult) family visited Jerome and this was our second time back to the Zamar House. It is conveniently located close to town with off-street parking. Each member of our family had their own comfortable bedroom and bathroom. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen for cooking breakfast or dinner at the house. We hope to return again someday!

This property is an absolute gem! Every inch holds artistry and antiques! The view is stunning! So quiet and peaceful. It’s in a quirky crooked area, a perfect sample of Jerome. Loved it so much!

This is a beautiful old home that is quiet and calming. Our group was 4 ladies of various ages, and we all had an amazing stay - we even chose to stay in a couple nights and just enjoy the views. Our Host was so accommodating and welcoming, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Five Stars all the way!

This house was perfect for our girls weekend in Jerome. A 10 minute walk or a 3 minute drive to all the shops and restaurants. Yes there are stairs and the house resides on a hill but that is Jerome! Loved it! And would happily go back here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It was warm, comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and it had tons of character. Great porches with good views, and a very quiet street.
Know in advance though - you have to go outside to go from the main floor to the bottom floor, if it had been colder or raining that would have been an issue. (My kids loved that, but my wife wasn’t thrilled.)
We loved the place, we’d definitely stay there again!

It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. Beautiful layout for a group but still provides a lot of privacy. The snow was also beautiful. Parking is easy and great location within Jerome. Can’t wait to return.

We had a nice time in Jerome and this property was within walking distance to all the main shops and restaurants. The property was a cute mix of antique and updated, and the communication with the owner was fantastic.

Beautiful, vintage home. It has two separate levels. The upper level has a full kitchen and two rooms, one with a queen and one with a twin and living room and bathroom with a nice shower. So much attention to detail The lower level has two sitting rooms with a couch and some game tables, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a nice shower and one with a bathtub and separate shower and a wet bar. Everything is vintage and quaint. There are several sitting balconies with beautiful views. The decks and screen doors are a bit run down but the house is over one hundred years old! It is also not for anyone with physical limitations. There are a lot of stairs, which are well lit at night, and it is a bit of a rough walk in to the main part of town. Kitchen is well equipped. We had a great time and will be back next year!

My family of four adults spent a long weekend here and we loved it! The views from the upper floor bedrooms are fantastic - it was so nice to wake up to a gorgeous sunrise and hot air balloons in the distance. The house is very welcoming and well decorated. The showers were all very nice as well.
We brought a pair of binoculars and a tripod and we were able to see Jupiter and its moons right from the porch. We also saw a ton of shooting stars from the back yard. Even with the lights from the neighboring houses we were able to see the milky way overhead.
The house is just a short walk to the main business area which was great because we didn't have to find parking in town. There are stairs between the parking and the house as well as between the upper and lower floors that may be challenging for guests with limited mobility.
We would love to visit again!

Memorial Day in Jerome
We thoroughly enjoyed this charming property. The view is amazing. The weather was beautiful. This house is very well outfitted and the beds are some of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in outside of our own. The other family we stayed with liked their bed so much they wanted to figure out what kind of mattress it was. The only issue we had was the downstairs TV didn’t work. The picture comes on but there’s no sound. I suspect it might be a worn out HDMI cable. Other than that - it was perfect. To be honest - we were having so much fun sitting on the porch and enjoying Jerome we didn’t want to watch TV anyway. I highly recommend this rental.

Can’t wait to stay here again!
The pictures don’t even come close to showing all the great touches of this historic home! I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect when I booked, but I was amazed when I checked in. This is an historic home, on a mountainside. Which for me made this even more charming and full of character. The kitchen is so well stocked- and not with cheap discount store items, but quality cookware, tools, and dishes. It’s beautifully decorated and there are interesting touches everywhere in the home. It’s quite clear someone has put a lot of thought and love into making this rental home feel like “home.” The sleeping porch was my daughter’s room- it reminded me of my great grandparents house ❤️ We walked into town multiple times to eat and shop. And there’s no better spot form morning coffee and evening wine than the front porch. I had a question about the downstairs tv, the owner responded quickly and thoroughly. This was an absolutely wonderful home and experience for me and my family and will book again without hesitation when we visit Jerome again!

Cold showers
Everything was great except there was no hot water in the showers. Hot water was available in all the sinks and the bathtub but the water in the showers never even got luke warm. Otherwise, the rental was spacious, comfortable, and well furnished. We enjoyed our stay and the hostess was courteous and available.

Beautiful House!
The pictures do not do this property justice! The house is beautiful inside and out. Rooms are good size. The views from the porch are amazing. Attention to detail everywhere: great quality towels/linens; kitchen tools/dishes in great condition and good quality; décor is very pretty and interesting. Easy walking to everything (with hills, but it is Jerome!). Just an FYI: you need to use outside stairs to get from the upstairs to the downstairs. Everything is well lit.

Exceeds expectations! Beautiful inside and out.
Stunning property and residence that is so meticulously thought out and executed. Loved the theming throughout and the beautiful furniture and fixtures that were a mix of old school charm and modern amenities. We all slept super comfortably and had a great time exploring Jerome since we were just a short walk away. There were plenty of linens and extra blankets for cold nights. The kitchen is stocked with every pot or pan you need. I was truly blown away staying at this property and hope to return.

Family Vacation
Traveling with my siblings and their spouses, we enjoyed a peaceful time at the idyllic Zamar house. The charming, comfortable and well furnished - and the view from the porch is breathtaking. Get up early and watch the sunrise over the valley.

Charming Historic House with a Great View
Stayed here with my husband and some friends to celebrate our friend’s engagement. The house was perfect for our group, especially the upper deck with the incredible views (wake up early to watch the sunrise…it’s worth it!). House looks exactly like the pictures…charming and historic! 10/10 would recommend.

Parking a nightmare
House was immaculate, and very cute. We arrived during a heat spell (unpredicted) and there is no air conditioning in the porch bedroom therefore, not useable in 108 degree heat. The parking however, was a nightmare. Our rental car was a Dodge Challenger (not my choice but all that was left) and the cement birm before the parking spot bottomed out the car pretty severly. When I tried contacting the property manger in the hopes of having some gravel put there to make it possible to park there, she denied it being a problem, which it clearly was. She would not take care of the situation, forcing us to park on the birm and not in the parking spot, risking damage to the car. So between the parking issue and the heat, and loss of a bedroom we will not be back to this property.

Antique House
What an amazing place to stay in, it was like staying in an old museum. What a lot of room, perfect proximity to the Verde Canyon and Cottonwood. Great place to go jeeping and exploring. Highly recommend staying at this house.
