The perfect relaxing getaway!

This early 1900's cottage has been tenderly and tastefully restored creating a private and captivating retreat for you and your loved one. You'll sense the effort to anticipate your requirements for a memorable and replenishing stay, including a bottle of wine and chocolate inviting a toast to 'your' stay.

Entering the upper level from the front deck, you are greeted by the bright, cheery dinette, efficient kitchen, and only bathroom, with it's built in cast iron bathtub. The large west side deck expands upstairs relaxation options. Downstairs enjoy the living room view of the garden, cozy Vermont Castings fireplace, a full compliment of TV viewing options, and comfortable seating. master bedroom, small second twin bed bedroom, and laundry are also downstairs. access to the garden is from living room.

Front and rear decks surrounded by ancient oaks and pine, plus a charming flower garden, enhance the ambiance of this very private cottage.

The crisp ocean air will greet you morning and evening. All your senses will be heightened as you listen to the distant bark of seals and crashing waves. Deer walk through your front yard along with racoons, squirrel, wild turkey, and the ever darling covey of quail. A myriad birds alone provide hours of entertainment.

Enjoy the king size bed, and cozy gas fireplace after a day of exploring.

Walk night or day to the ocean and hunt for wildlife in the tide pools where you can sit and watch the otters, humpback whales, and dolphins (seasonal). Bring your comfy shoes - it is uphill on the way back but it's worth it!

If you must work we have hi speed internet and telephone.

The cable TV offers nearly all the premium channels and we stock the cottage with everything you'll need. If you forget something, the quaint village of Cambria is just a 5 minute drive.

One note for our tall guests. This cottage was built around 1907 and some tall guests (over 6'1) may have to duck through doorways. For the comfort of all our guests there is no smoking in or around the unit.

This was the perfect spot to relax after traveling for 2 weeks. The views of the ocean from the parks and Moonstone Beach were great. The elephant seals were an amazing sight.

One could walk easily to the ocean, the cottage is very well equipped, quant and serene location. We love staying here.

The cottage provided us a lovely place to stay in one of our favorite places to get away: quiet, private, immaculate, and caringly maintained. The only potential problem being that the bathroom is on a different level than the bedroom (weak bladders and old, unsteady legs look elsewhere). Sharon and Don have thought of literally everything else: luxurious linens, choice of wine,wellstocked kitchen and caring details throughout - feels like a home away from home.

Property was fine. Good location near Fiscalini beach walk. TV and controls not working properly; might have been a battery issue, but some streaming service seemed inaccessible. I’m sure an easy fix! Overall great, though, and would stay there again!

This was the perfect place for our girls’ getaway! The Cottage is affordable, in a great location (out of the way, yet just a short drive to town), well appointed, well stocked (so many towels and blankets!), comfortable, clean, and just lovely. The only negative is that the bathroom and bedroom are on separate floors, but some places have their quirks, and it’s quite doable. The hosts were super accommodating, kind, and helpful. We hope to stay again!!

Such a cute & comfy cottage!!! It was great to have a full kitchen for a quick breakfast before we started our day. Everything, from towels to blankets to kitchen essentials, was well stocked beyond our expectations. The living room was awesome, the fireplace made it even more cozy. It was like coming home after the days adventures! We will definitely like to stay here next time we visit SLO County!!

A curious small cottage in a quiet neighborhood. The weather was good for many hikes in and around Cambria. The pictures in the listing of the interior are different from what it currently looks like. Furniture has been added and makes it crowded. Guests who are regular nighttime bathroom users need to anticipate a long walk to the upstairs bathroom. There is no bathroom near the bedroom downstairs as mentioned in the descriptive part of this listing. The large collection of DVD's was fun to explore and watching a few classics was enjoyable. The purpose of 4 trashcans in the kitchen is still a mystery.

This cottage is so cute and quaint. The layout is quirky yet everything is as shown and explained in the listing. Two beautiful decks PLUS an outdoor garden. For me, the amazing unique garden window was the highlight. It’s so unique bringing the outside in. My stay was cut short due to some issues in the cottage following historic CA rainstorm. The owner was kind and generous and incredibly communicative. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Lovers Cottage again.

Cottage was clean and smelled fresh. Pleant ow towels, good water pressure, and most important, a comfortable bed! Wine and chocolates were a nice touch. Once i got used to not having ghe bathroom on the same level as the bedroom... Really nice neighborhood, close to everything, and especially the nature preserve. We had a delightful stay of 4 nights. Wished it were longer! I'd definitely go back again!

My spouse and I commented to each other numerous times how comfortable and cozy the cottage was and how we would absolutely live there full time if given the opportunity! Our favorite room was the den - the light was amazing and the couch was so comfortable. I spent many hours on the deck too watching the birds, deer and squirrel. We enjoyed walking at night and seeing all the wildlife. We never once felt the need to turn on the tv. It was the perfect getaway. My husband was disappointed that the WiFi signal didn’t reach the bedroom - but then he also commented that he felt asleep but more quickly when going to bed too lol! We would absolutely 100% stay there again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. I have never stayed at a rental that was so clean. I felt at home (but it was better than home!). Additionally the kitchen was extremely well stocked with spices, and all the basic cooking tools that you need. Accommodations were extremely comfortable. Thank you Sharon for making such a wonderful experience for me and my family. We really needed to get away and make some memories. I hope to stay again soon!

Quiet neighborhood; easy access; welcoming, nearly all the conveniences of home in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom; comfy couch; books & videos, towels & pillows & decor galore! We enjoyed our stay, and will recommend it to others, bearing in mind there are low ceilings and lots of stairs! The host was very accessible and the cost for the week, very reasonable.

Cambria Lover Cottage is a fantastic, special and beautiful place. We highly recommend this very pretty gem. The cottage is gorgeously decorated and the attention to detail is stunning. A bottle of wine and tasty chocolates to welcome us was a very sweet touch. The deck extends the living area and we enjoyed many meals accompanied by graceful deer and an occasional group of wild turkeys in the gardens below. The bed is super comfortable and cozy. Everything is well stocked and easy to find. Sharon is a wonderful and accommodating host and communication is quick and clear. Everything was sparkling clean and comfortable. We would love to come back and visit again.

We have lost count of the number of times we enjoyed this comfortable cottage! The decor is so warm, relaxed, and sprinkled with cute touches. We sleep well in the super comfortable King bed in the cool, dark bedroom. We love staying at the cottage to decompress and take lots of walks at Fiscalini Ranch. We’ll be back!

Perfect place for long weekend getaway. The location was good, we saw deer most days as we were sitting on the deck. There is a main house on the same property. Would not hesitate to book again.
