Check in is at 4pm, refused to let us check in 30 min early so we had to sit in the driveway and wait (which is fine, no big deal). Check out is at 10am and at 10:15 while I was at the boat ramp 3 doors down pulling my boat out, the owner came over and made my 80 year old grandmother and 18 month old baby stand in the driveway to wait for me…

What a wonderful stay we had!! It was perfect. It was spacious for two couples to stay the weekend. There were all the dishes and utensils you would need. We did pack foil. There was a lovely guest book of things to do and instructions. The house was easy to locate and lots of parking. The dock and lily pad were so much fun to hang out on that we didn't get to using the kayaks, canoe, SUP, or floats, but maybe next time! We used the grill which worked great and ate every meal outside because it was so lovely even in the July heat. We went over a holiday weekend so the lake was quite busy which can cause quite a few larger waves but in the morning and evening it was calmer. Check out time was 10am which is a little earlier for us as we wish we could use the morning to enjoy with coffee instead of packing up, but we understand the need for clean up time. Check out was easy, they do not request a lot from you as many rental properties may. Vacasa was easy to contact with questions and quick to respond. Everything was clean when we arrived. THANK YOU for this beautiful easy stay!! Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to stay again sometime in the future.

The good: The house was on the water and had a well/stocked kitchen and plenty of beds for a large group. The master bed was comfy. We loved the neighborhood too.
The bad: Unfortunately the lawn guys disturbed us two different times. Once they awoke me from a nap mowing outside the room. Once they leaf blowed the patio when we were trying to have private time on the couch in our pjs! There was also continuous construction noise from right across from the house. So, noise was a huge issue.
The decor was distasteful. It included two side tables in the shape of a person with private parts. Very strange choice for a family rental.
Lastly, I left an irreplaceable item. I called to retrieve it around 30 mins after we left. I couldn’t get an answer because they kept giving me the runaround. They said they had to “Ask their local team” and that the house code had changed. They told me that continuously for 3 days. Finally 3-4 days later someone told me I could come back, use the original code, and get it from the rental. I followed their directions and the item was nowhere to be found. It was in a private locked closet but nobody would come to the property to give it to me. Nobody would even ship it back as they offered. It was thrown away. I wasted a week trying to track it down and 1.5 hours of driving to retrieve it. The management is terrible!! It would be a decent rental with different management.

Beautiful property on the Colorado River. It was a cozy place for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. Spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor space, relaxing on the river. Multiple hiking trails about 30 mins away on the other side of the river. Ski Shores Cafe is a must for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Property managers and owner were fantastic. My only complaint is minor, the Wi-Fi was spotty at times, which forced me to stay off my laptop and ignore work emails, thankfully.......if you're booking this place for the internet connection, you're missing the point.

The home is right on the water with great views. It is such a peaceful setting. We were there during winter and I can see how this would be a great Spring, summer and early fall destination because you would really utilize the lake. Our daughter lives close by and her and her boyfriend took us out for a boat cruise and picked us up right in front of the home which was great. Lake Austin is beautiful. The home itself is comfortable and the bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable. I would say it needs some help in the furnishings department as the interior furniture and exterior for that are pretty dated and not comfortable. There is no dining/kitchen table, just 3 barstools so that pretty much dictated that we did no cooling except for coffee in the morning. There were a few other items that were a bit annoying but that could just be lack of the owner knowing and they weren't a deal breaker. All in all it was a nice place with a great location. We went to Civil Goat every morning for coffee/breakfast and we loved Patritzies the Italian place right nearby as well. We took a walk in Commons (nature preserve area that is so beautiful, with trails in the trees and along the water.) Absolutely a must if you're staying in the area. Neighborhood walks were also great. We stayed out here because our daughters lives a few streets away but this is about a 20-25 minute drive into downtown Austin. For us, it was the perfect location and for anyone wanting a change of scenery.

We enjoyed the vacation very much. The location of the house directly on Lake Austin is excellent.
We also liked very much that you can use the canoe and the paddle board. The area is quiet, the equipment of the house very good. Everything very clean and uncomplicated. We can really recommend it.

Very good communication all around. Very easy checkout process. They don't make you wash everything and do all of the cleaning before leaving like some do. The house was very clean when we arrived. We loved that there was every appliance, full kitchen, and stocked bathroom so we didn't need to go put and buy every little thing! The views were amazing!!Great place to stay all around!

The whole process of renting was painless. Loved the house and the layout. Looking out on to the water the minute you walk in was breathtaking. Everything was very clean and organized. Peaceful and quiet. Saved it to my favorites. Plan to come again!!

Quiet and right on the water. King bed was comfy. Stays a little too warm at night for my liking, but would stay again. And bring my travel fan. 🙃

We enjoyed this place last year and it was not a disappointment this time either. Location, peace and quiet and a cool house right on the water. What more could you want?

Location was great. Peaceful setting right on the water. Could use some overall updating and better dishes/cups/cutlery, but kitchen was well enough stocked for a short stay. Patio fans didn't work for us and there were no trash bags left, a quick text / response to and from the mgmt company made them aware.

Super clean. Super cute and modern! Relaxing by the water, or cooking/grilling dinner—totally enjoyable! We want to come again next year!

Great property
Only had 2 issues 1) listing says it sleeps 8 but it’s 2 bedrooms so don’t recommend for people who want privacy. 2) AC keep resetting to upper 70s which in the Texas heat was quite annoying. Otherwise great location near lake Austin. Nice and clean.

WOW, what a view!
I like this place a lot. Incredible views and a quiet neighborhood. What prevented me from 5 stars is that the place didn't seem as clean as others - particularly the floors and counter tops. However, the views were stellar and I would consider this place again.

Still Great in October
Short Fall 2021 visit to this quaint area, loved every bit of it and highly recommend. We rented a boat from a local business and met them at the marina to get it for about 4 hours. The property was quiet, pleasant, beautiful, and well kept. Also enjoyed the kayak, plenty of life jackets available as well! The bar down the street was also a good spot to grab drinks and food while catching some Sunday/Monday night football! Loved seeing the deer, ducks, squirrels, fish, and even other boaters show off weight boarding skills! Can’t wait to return to this beautiful area, clean environment!

Absolutely Amazing
This rental is right on the water with incredible views! A good amount of space and amenities were great. It is so peaceful and quiet and truly makes you never want to leave. The next door neighbors (also the owners) are very friendly and let us know we were free to use their canoe! All in all it was a great long weekend stay. We stayed here during ACL and I will say the Uber was a bit of a hike but wasn't horrible and we were still able to find Ubers out there! A beautiful little getaway. Highly recommend!

Our 4th stay
This is a wonderful place for a small family group, and of course, a boat. We pretty much stay in the boat most of the day, but the house is nice. Sofa couch, not so nice. Put the mattress on the floor but still not comfortable. This was the first time we had used that bed, but the others are fine. Hopefully they saw my note about needing a new coffee pot.
Will rent again for sure.

Amazing views
The house was perfect, just as described but better In person. Easy water access, great swimming right off the dock with amazing views of 20 million dollar homes on the mountain top. Very relaxing and cozy, we definitely will be back.

Perfect Lake Lovers Cabin
We are frequent vacationers to Lake Austin and have been towing our boat here from Dallas for almost 20+ years. So, we know the lake well and have stayed in multiple rental type lake properties. As such, I feel highly qualified to write a very favorable review of this property. The home is incredibly clean and dare I say a "fun" decorum style. Everything worked as it should, AC blasted air so cold we had to back it down a tad (usually not the issue in Texas) and the kids loved the bunk beds. Kitchen was perfect and the view over the lake (and our boat) was beautiful. Especially at sunset. This end of Lake Austin is much quieter which we prefer. The lake is appreciably cooler as you are much closer to the dam where the natural spring water is almost intolerable the lake is so cold. Even in July. For my boat, the boat dock was more than serviceable. While I'm not wild about having to tie up to a dock and watch it get tossed by every passing wake boat, it was fine. At night, the area is just peaceful and relaxing. Very little boat traffic unlike the areas down by the 360 bridge where the water is very rough and boats traverse constantly at night with music at decibel levels I have not appreciated since I was 18. I have ZERO complaints and we LOVED this property. My only concern was simply the price. Our 3 night rental cost us $1280 total. But after taxes, cleaning fees, convenience fees and booking fees from Vacasa it added an "additional" $772 to our 3 night stay making our total for 3 nights stay $2052. That is 37% of "fees" relative to the total billing for the stay. I asked for some relief from Vacasa as I felt this to be excessive and I was told basically 'no.' Please don't judge this property by what appears to be 3rd party charges for managing it. The property is phenomenal and I might just eat the additional cost and come back but seriously? Almost $800 in ancillary 'fees/taxes' for 3 nights? It just seems like gouging from my experience.

Nice lake life
Property was accurate, not many amenities for using the kitchen, not even any salt. I didn’t want to stock up on my dime for a 4 day stay, and it didn’t feel very clean.

House is super cute and was really clean. You couldn't be any closer to the water! I appreciated the communication with the local property manager. We had an issue with one of the bathrooms and maintenance was there very quickly!Main thing to note on this home is it says sleeps 8. This is definitely not for 8 adults. They are counting two people in a double bed which definitely doesn't work for grown adults. And one of the double beds is the pull out couch in the living room and while it's a beautiful view there are no curtains on the windows at all in there. So it's very bright in the morning .

Great location on Lake Austin! Our family really enjoyed the view and all the water toys...paddle board, kayak, lily pad, and canoe! We loved the ducks and sitting by the chimenea. The house was open with a beautiful view and clean. I think better quality and more paper products as well as trash bags would be have been helpful. Also, there were not sheets or extra pillows for the fold out couch - we only had use of a blanket. These are easy fixes and would not preclude us from reserving this home again. Most hotels and other vacation homes we have previously stayed in have a check out time at 11 am. I am not sure why the check out is so early - but it feels like the weekend was cut a bit short and we had to hustle in the morning to be out by 10 am.

Great vibe, quiet neighborhood, relaxing setting
The house was easy to find, easy to get into, the property management sent clear communications about check-in, door codes, wi-fi, etc. The layout of the house is interesting but totally comfortable. Obviously, you're there to enjoy the outdoors and lakeside if you get this house; you're not there for the inside. I would say that the cleaning fee is high given the space - what are they cleaning? It's a small space. Also, be sure to bring EVERYTHING you need. There is a Keurig and a regular coffee pot, but there wasn't even coffee for the Keurig so bring all the goodies you need.

Beautiful setting
Owners weren't responsive when we said the light in the kitchen didn’t work. Also, they Advertised they had a paddle board, but it was broken. The house was on the river, so it was a beautiful venue. Everything else was fine.

Amazing
I could not wait to review this property! It was such a great place. The location was excellent. The house was super clean and well stocked. There was nothing we needed or wanted that was not there. We docked our boat in front of the house. There were plenty of life jackets, a kayak, stand up paddle board, Lilly pad and inflatable floats. We grilled every night on the gas grill. We hopped on boat in the morning and drove down to SkiShore for breakfast tacos on the water. We can’t wait to rent the place again.

Great COVID getaway
The property looks just as it does in the picture. You are actually closer to the water though, which is a good thing. It’s a very quiet neighborhood, and it was peaceful to sit out listen to the water and fish off of the dock. It provided a great COVID getaway and change of scenary.
