This house was a nice place to stay, and the realtor was very nice. The location was perfect for us. We love skiing Wolf Creek and staying in South Fork.

We loved this property! It is off the main road with easy access to the highways. Set in a quiet neighborhood, it’s perfect for a getaway with all the amazing features. This place is very very spacious with a wonderful back yard for entertaining

Overall, the stay was very nice. But the stay was was marred by the initial check in. A week in advance, we received very detailed check in instructions. Key pad and code, lock box, etc. so after driving 14 hours, we get there after dark, primed with our detailed instructions. Key code did not work and there was no lock box. We stood in the cold just looking. Luckily someone thought to look under the mat and there was a key!? So we got in thankfully, luckily. We did call after hours and the owner, Beau, was extremely responsive and was able to get keys and help us get the guest house open, after a while. And while there were a few normal glitches with someone else’s house, the overall stay was lovely and very clean. But when I tried to communicate with the property manager Carrie, she was terse and extremely unapologetic regarding the debacle of check in. She had one job. Making sure we could get in to the property. A simple walk through after the last tenants left would have prevented this. Carrie, as clean as a property is does nothing if the tenants cannot access it. For others, I’m sure they have corrected the broken key pad and misplaced lock box so you can rent knowing the property is lovely, clean, and a great location.

We stayed here for a week with another family and had 5 teenage boys!! The house was perfect for us! We had a few questions upon arrival and Beau responded immediately. There was an issue with the fireplace in the living room that we could not figure out and Beau came over and took care of it right away. I highly recommend staying here!

The house started out overall great! Throughout the trip the minor inconveniences stacked up though. The washer didn’t work properly, we arrived with a stopped up sink, had to replace toilet paper, experienced a leak and a beeping fire alarm. Overall we were pretty satisfied with the stay besides these minor issues. Would probably stay here again

My wife and I brought 2 teens and 3 20’s. We had plenty of room with all of our ski gear and plenty of room to cook for 7. Great experience. We will be back and may not wait until ski season!

Great ski location
Property manager was great. We had 2 issues one with the door to the mother in law suite and the other with a water-pump(we didn’t have water from about 9pm until 8am) and he fixed both problems. House was clean and quiet.

Great Home
Great home for skiing at Wolf Creek. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

This house was perfect for our stay. It has plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed the large kitchen and the three bathrooms in the main house. One of the couples with us stayed in the guest house which was perfect for them! We had a fire several nights and the large parking area was great for our two trucks and trailers to park and turn around in. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a nice home and was great in most ways. Really only sleeps 11 unless one guest is a toddler. The 11th bed is a rollout bed from a closet. Upstairs there is a king-sized bed in the far side with a toddler futon. Then there is a partial wall and a queen sized bed. On the queen bed side around the corner is a small nook with a twin futon with twin pull-out. Downstairs is a beautiful large master suite with a king-sized bed. The guest house has a queen-sized bed. We loved that there are four bathrooms (one in the separate house, master bath, main level bath, and upstairs). Plenty of hot water as the guest house has its own water heater. Would have been very helpful if the kitchen had more food prep supplies to accommodate a large group. Bring your own crock pot, soup pots, etc. Living room is somewhat small with comfortable seating for five. Any other seating is chairs around the table or bar in the kitchen. Overall this is a great place though. Very well decorated, clean and accommodating. The property managers were easy to communicate with and quick in responding to questions.

The location of this property is ideal for traveling around to other areas. The yard is very pretty and we really enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and coffee on the patio in the morning looking out over the yard to the mountains.
My biggest complaint however is that most of the windows in this house do not open and there is no a/c. We were there in August and it was HOT. The kitchen could get no breeze at all which made cooking a struggle. We had to open the doors (with no screen door to keep the critters out) and put a fan there to try to get some air moving. If the windows in the living/dining/kitchen had opened it would have made all the difference in the world.
On a good note, we did have an issue with the propane tank on the grill being empty and the management responded promptly to resolve the issue. Overall if you’re not staying here in the heat of the summer I would recommend this house!

I write this review as someone who has used VRBO for vacations regularly! So I have experience & know when something is terrific & when something leaves us wishing we'd chosen differently. I rely on reviews to help me decide & hope this will do the same for you! Sleeps 10 easily. The main house has a master w/ a king, & upstairs (we called it the Loft but it has a door so it can be private!) sleeps a king, double, a twin w/ a trundle & it has a futon. I am NOT counting the futon b/c unless you're a young child (think 5 or so) this would be very uncomfortable. The master is large, & the unique thing is no closet. There are dressers! As a skier, we like to hang stuff up b/c it's bulky. Heating the house is fine; the master, main room & the loft all had their own heating systems. Upstairs could get warm - we just turned it off at night. The main room is not large- we all fit around the table but couldn't all sit in the den together. Some sat at the dining table. One TV. Bring your own board games.
Things to remember! This is the first home we've rented w/ no spices, etc.. It is fully stocked with cookware & dishes! No Bath soap- (first rental w/out it.) Hair dryers needed in each bathroom (an extra touch to get a 5 star review). would be great to have a pack and play for parents w/ young ones. Also! Hooks IN the house for hanging ski jackets. There is a mud room with hooks, but leaving boots & jackets out there makes it VERY cold for the next ski day. This is on a dirt road; be ready for mud/slush in the winter.
The appliances all work great! The washer and dryer was amazing. Great gas stove top and another electric oven under the island sink. There is no disposal so plan on throwing all leftovers in the trash. We had tons of bath towels! Three FULL bathrooms in the main house. So if you're in the loft, you don't have to come downstairs. Great cleaning supplies for the kitchen w/ dish soap, dishwasher soap & paper towels. (Bring Ziploc bags, Reynolds wrap, salt and pepper.) House comes w/ laundry soap and dryer sheets!
Guest house works for a couple or family w/ small children w/ a crib. Has a kitchen. The Loft- this is designed for one family- It has a a bit of privacy b/c the closet is HUGE w/ drapes & of course the bathroom has a door . There is a 1/2 wall between the king bed & the rest of the space. Only 5 minutes from the grocery store for re-stocking and 24 minutes to Wolf Creek! Enjoy!

Great place, just a couple of small issues
Really comfortable and clean home. A few minor issues: there had been a lot of snow and the walk that was shoveled to the front door was extremely narrow and icy. The gate leading to the separate cabin was also very narrow (hard to get stuff through) and not shoveled. The other thing is that the dishwasher didn't work correctly because the soap dispenser door can't open. So dishes weren't particularly clean. Hopefully both those issues are easy to fix for the next guests. Directions to the home were clear. Future guests should be aware it's a longish dirt driveway that can get very muddy and slippery. We had no problem with 4WD.

Great space for 4 teenagers and 5 adults. Plenty of room. LWarm and cozy - great kitchen.
Wonderful location. Not too congested and Short distance to Wolf Creek ski. And Pagosa Springs. We loved the area the house was located and everything about it. Great accomodations - just like home. We would come back ❤️

Great Family Getaway
We had a great stay at this house. Family from around the country converged here to attend a wedding. It was perfect for us as we like to cook and eat breakfast at "home" and the kitchen is a good space that flows into the living area. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice, and the house was even in a good location to go for a walk or run right from the front door.

South fork cabin
Great cabin. We had 9 people / teenagers and adults in this cabin. This house accomadated us well. We had plenty of room including bathrooms. Very cozy and comfortable home. Close drive to town for supplies and only a 25 minute drive to the slopes. We would stay here again! The only reason I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the upstairs King bed is very hard and the roll out bed was very hard (not unexpected with a roll out bed) probably fine for young kids but should be noted if adults are sleeping upstairs or if a hard bed keeps you from sleeping well. The master suite was amazing and the bed was very nice!

great ski vacation!
Wonderful kitchen and cooking supplies. Internet and satellite TV worked well. Got a lot of snow day before we arrived and it was piled up by the door which was a problem. Beds comfortable and bathrooms were clean and new. Master bath great. Upstairs shower didn’t work and no light- Loft upstairs divided by half-wall. Excellent location and beautiful mountain views!

Great cabin
This cabin was exactly as advertised and worked out well for our family. I would definitely stay here again!

Great place!!
The house was exactly what we needed! Clean, nice beds, and the yard and fire pit were great! The only complaints were the kitchen has no exhaust vent for the stove, the gas oven is tricky to light, and the ice maker barely works! We just cooked in the cabin! I would recommend covering the skylights in the family room for the summer! With no AC, it's 80 plus during the day and is tough to cool down at bedtime!
Owner responded to our concerns with the oven but needs to post detailed instructions for lighting oven in kitchen!

Awesome Father/Son time
My son was on a business trip in Denver and asked me if we could spend the next week hanging out and skiing. We did some research and decided to ski Wolf Creek and found this cabin on VRBO.
I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH about this property. When we walked in, it immediately felt like walking into a friend's home...not a rental. The kitchen is amazing with commercial type appliances that made meals a breeze! The master shower with the rain shower head was great, and the beds are very comfortable. It was only about 20 minutes from the driveway to the slopes, and convenient to get to Pagosa Springs and Creed for some shopping. What we enjoyed most was having a high quality, warm, homey place to come back to each day and relax. It was the perfect environment to spend quality time with my son. WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK with extended family. There is room for many more.

REMAINS THE BEST
This is the 4th time we have been to South Fork in the last 2 Years that we have stayed in this amazing cabin.. For years we have stayed in cabins in and around this area and nothing compares to this one. This time we took our friends from home with us and they made the statement to us this was the best place they have ever stayed on vacation. The Cabin with the Red Roof next to the Rio Grande River is so Relaxing, Quiet and absolutely Clean, Gorgeous. It's so centrally located to any activity you love to do. We will be back !!

Excellent play to stay
My overall experience was great! The rental was spacious, updated and very clean. The home is a good location because it close to everything South Fork has to offer (I.E. Restaurants, mountains, fishing and horseback riding. I also like the fact that it is close to Wolf Creek Ski Lodge. I would come back anytime! Fantastic overall experience!

We had a wonderful time. The house was amazing. In the morning the deer came up to us and let us fed them.
The house had everything we needed and more.
We would recommend it to anyone of our family and friends.
Looking forward to returning next year.
