Hummingbird Hideaway provided everything our family needed during our stay. The location and amenities were wonderful bonuses. The hosts went above and beyond to make our accommodations comfortable. We will definitely visit again.

My wife and I enjoyed four nights at the Hummingbird Hideaway.
The property is just as advertised. We like to cook and found the kitchen to be well stocked and agreeable to our culinary needs. The fresh eggs, orange juice and fruit was a nice touch.
The living area is quaint and the bathroom and bedroom are very functional. We found the bed to be comfortable. We didn't watch TV but there are two nice size TV's on the property. The location is ideal for visiting the area. We spent a day in Bisbee and the Sonoita/Elgin area-we really like visiting AZ Hops & Vines; as it has a cool funk and vibe to it-and the staff were very friendly. Overall, if you are looking to visit Southern AZ, this property has a great location, is reasonably priced, comfortable, functional and relaxing. Plus, the owners were very nice and communication was excellent. We hope to return.

Nice location, privacy, nature all around, well-furnished. Good yard for our dog to run free. Extremely quiet at night. A very nice get-away. Also, free eggs and when we arrived on Valentine's Day there was a box of candy! Much thanks.

The hosts provide a clean and exceptionally well stocked home. We (2 adults and our dog) were comfortable and happy. The daily fresh eggs were a delicious treat as were the fresh fruit and juice. We used this home as a base to visit the local canyons and Chiricahua Mts which are extremely beautiful. We were grateful to have this property for hot showers, a cozy bed, a modern kitchen for cooking meals and a place to relax. The hosts are friendly but allowed us our privacy. I highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!

Amazing Place!
It was such a pleasure staying at Hummingbird Hideway, we could not have been more pleased with this cute quiet place to stay. Everything was perfect. Right down to the fresh eggs and juice and everything else that our host provided for us.

Quiet oasis
Peaceful and private. Lovely accommodations. Owners close by and available for questions and concerns but not at all intrusive. Quite a drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Maybe 15 miles or so. Served well as a base camp for birding and hiking locations. Several acres in back to watch deer, quail and a variety of other birds. No nearby houses to take away from the quiet ambiance. Chickens and other animals on the property provide interest.

Exceptional VRBO
The host & hostess provided supplies for our stay of 73 days. We only brought clothing and toiletries. Quiet, off the beaten tract, perfect for a retreat but still close to stores and restaurants. The hostess provided a welcoming bottle of wine, OJ and eggs from their on site chickens. Replenishment of eggs was very much encouraged daily. Never have we stayed in such an enjoyable place.

Excellent stay at the Hideaway!
Our family enjoyed our time at the cottage Hideaway. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. The fresh eggs were great! The owners were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Really nice place close to a ton of historic sites
The place is clean, comfortable, and had a nice yard for our dog to run around in and play.
The location is quiet, and a great place to get away from the city.
When we got there, there was coffee, creamer, orange juice, fruit, and eggs. Everything you need to make your own meals, and have a good breakfast in the morning.
The location is about 20 minutes from pretty much everywhere you'd want to go. It made a great jumping off point for our adventures in Cochise County.
The hosts were great, communicative, and provided detailed instructions for check in and check out.
We had a great time!

Wonderful People, Wonderful Property!
I stayed here for over a month and loved everyday in it! The house had everything I needed and more. The owners are fantastic and very accommodating. They were careful to avoid work that was loud while I was there and checked in once a week to give me an opportunity to let them know if something was wrong. If you want to be left alone they'll respect your privacy, but I had some great conversations with them. I enjoyed getting to know them. I used the gas grill every night to cook and they were able to fill it up onsite! I cannot forget the fresh eggs from their own chickens; absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed being away from any light pollution. On a clear night, the stars are so bright. If you're working in Sierra Vista or Fort Huachuca, it's only a 15-20 minute drive. My commute every morning was not bad at all. I seriously recommend this property to anyone visiting the Sierra Vista area. Thank you, Kim and Gerald for the great stay!

Great Base Camp for SE Arizona
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird Hideaway. It was a convenient base camp for our travels to Bisbee and the Sonoita/Elgin wineries. The fresh country eggs were wonderful. We also appreciated that the deck and yard were fenced for our golden retriever.

A hideaway, it is. We loved it! So quaint and quiet; felt like our own little place. Clean and had everything we needed. Close enough to wineries and in town eats in Elgin and Sonoita. Definitely be coming back.

Good but not as advertised.
Misleading description in many ways but overall ok. Uncomfortable bed and steep steps. Wish we had known about interior stairs. Very difficult to get up and down.

A nice little getaway
The hosts were very helpful and the little hideaway was fine. Comfy bed. Just FYI to other guests: Parking is uncovered and the entry stairs are steep. Very peaceful surroundings in the countryside. Thanks for a nice stay and for allowing pets!

Cutest Hideaway!
Hummingbird Hideaway is exactly as described, and more. The charming decor, the peaceful setting, and the location were perfect for my short getaway after a long quarantine!
While the weekend was set up to be 3 adults, my friends are from New York and could not travel yet. I contacted Kym and asked her if I could bring my dog instead, and she quickly agreed and refunded the third person charge. Arrival was easy- drove right up to the cottage, and Kym was quickly over to greet us and very friendly.
I ended up having to work while I was there and the cottage has strong WiFi and I was able to work very efficiently. There is a well equipped kitchen, and she provides fresh eggs upon arrival. There was fresh orange juice, water, butter, and a bowl of fruit as well. The large bathroom has a a full sized washer and dryer and toiletries, a nice bedroom with a queen bed and smart TV, and a family room with a love seat and dinette set. There is a nice desk and fenced in yard, perfect for morning coffee or alfresco dining.
This is a great place if you want peace and quiet. It's very easy to get to Tombstone, Bisbee, and Sierra Vista for history, antiquing/shopping, and winery hopping. I highly recommend this cottage and I will certainly book it again!

Great place with helpful owner
We thoroughly enjoyed Hummingbird Hideaway. This cozy cottage had everything we needed for a great stay. The kitchen was well equipped and I had an easy time cooking every night. Loved having a gas grill. Kym was very helpful and gave us butter and a potato, when the grocery ran out. We especially enjoyed eggs, fresh from their hens and feeding carrots to the 2 friendly mini-pigs.

SO cute. It was everything plus.
Charming little house. It was well stocked with everything you could need. Kim leaves fresh eggs, which were awesome.
It's the little things that make it plush, cotton swabs, fluffy towels,
bottled water and fresh fruit, just to name a few.

No Privacy and Not Quiet
Started moving lawn 5 minutes after checkin. I left so they could finish only to hear loud welding notices coming from the barn next to where I was staying. I had to ask for privacy and quit which he replied yes. Next morning when I went to patio for breakfast coffee and exercise the husband was working in the barn next to the patio where I was relaxing. I am single and felt uncomfortable with a married man listening lurking so close to me all morning. He left about 1pm, 4 hours later. Mattress needs replacing. Glasses were dirty bowls had water in them and leaves all over a dirty hammock. Could not use pots. I did not feel like scrubbing them. Bathroom like cuts off at least 3 times a day.

Such an adorable place!
From the minute I arrived at Hummingbird Hideaway with my golden doodle Molly, we were made to feel welcomed! From the bowl of fruit on the table, the juices and fresh eggs in the refrigerator and well stocked pantry, I felt welcomed by this kind family. Kym, Gerald, Tracey and Kristen all extended a welcome to Molly and me, and we left feeling more like family than just 2 week guests at their little guest house! The property was beautiful and well maintained. Molly loved the fenced in yard, the chickens and the potbelly pigs! I loved the cozy feel of the house, the cooler temperature (10-20 degrees cooler than Phoenix), the ability to open the windows at night and have cool breezes flowing in and starry skies, and the absolute privacy of the Hideaway tucked back at the rear of a very large property loaded with mesquite trees and cottonwoods at the dry river bed. The house was just as expected from reading the listing! Everything was very clean, and turn-key ready. Kym helped me with understanding how to work both tvs, and was very helpful in answering any questions I might have, Gerald was fun to talk to as we shared information about the area, the Tracey was also helpful in answering questions. She also sent me home with a huge zucchini from the garden! Quite unexpected! Molly loved everyone and couldn't get enough of the attention they gave her, and we took daily walks over to see the chickens and mama and baby pigs. The Hideaway is ideally located for touring southeastern Arizona, including the Chiricahua National Monument, Patagonia and Patagonia Lake, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Nogales, Tubac and Tumacacori. We was difficult to leave and head home as the kind family bid us farewell. Their kindness was overflowing. Thank you Kym, Gerald, Tracey and Kristen! We had a great time!

Hummingbird get away
Fabulous, fascinating hosts who did anything they could to make us feel welcome. Greeted with fresh eggs, fruit coffee, and orange juice. They even helped out with logistical issues.
The area is beautiful, perfect spot for star gazing around a campfire. Very comfortable home with everything you might need from Sun screen to nail files. Thank you Jerry and Kim, it was a treat.

Home Away from Home
This was the perfect stopping point on the way down to Bisbee. Kristen thought of everything and when I say everything, I mean it. There is absolutely nothing that I “wished” that I had others then maybe another night. Just as all of the other reviews have said, there was fresh oj, eggs and fruit for us. We got in after dark so it was nice that we were able to bring stuff for a small dinner and then practically have breakfast provided for us. We even visited with the chickens and pigs before our departure. I would give this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10 stars) if possible. If we are ever in the neighborhood again we will be staying here for sure.

The home was very clean and nicely decorated. All amenities were as stated.
The owners were friendly and accommodating. Since it was Christmas, a tin of goodies was prepared for us. There were lovely Christmas decorations throughout. It was fun to see the chickens from whom fresh eggs were provided. The mini pig had recently had little cute babies. Was so entertaining to watch them running around. Wonderful experience overall.

Quite, Comfortable, and Cozy
A great place to stay. We loved the accommodations and location. The accommodations are very quint; put together with a lot of thought and care (the beautiful fire-place heaters, the high quality toiletries provided, fresh eggs and OJ, the list goes on and on. The full-size washer and dryer are convent. We enjoyed watching deer roam the property in the early morning. It's away from it all but close to a lot of southern AZ destinations. We loved our stay here and look forward to our next visit.

Perfect getaway
This was our second time staying here and once again it was wonderful! Cozy and comfortable with sweet attention to details. Farm fresh eggs and freshly made OJ awaited in the fridge. Place settings were ready for enjoying a meal. Beautiful and quiet setting with a great porch for enjoying the crisp morning air or the stars at night. We couldn't have asked for more.

Absolute wonderland!
We are a family of 4 and we visited this lovely hideaway for the weekend. It was an absolute treat! We felt so very welcomed and the owner's went out of their way to make us feel very special with food, water, and a spotless retreat! If you are a bird lover, you will be amazed at how close you can get to the hummingbirds. The atmosphere is perfect for a short or long stay. If you like animals, there were chickens and the cutest pigs there for you to visit with. There were places to sit and relax all over, to include a secluded area just for guests where you can put your feet up and relax in the sun on a hammock, or have a picnic on some lovely patio furniture. The decor was simple and so very country. You felt right at home the moment you walked in the door. We loved this home! We definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay out this way!

Simply the best!
Kristin's bungalow is more than we had imagined! Her place is beautifully kept, abundantly supplied, spotlessly clean, artfully decorated, perfectly located with trees and birds, and generously hosted. We could not be more pleased. Everything had a personal touch without being overdone. Celebrating our anniversary, we were treated to goodies and a thoughtful acknowledgment of our milestone. It was especially nice to have friendly people nearby if there was something needed, but plenty of privacy as well. It is a keeper!!

beautiful, spotless, peaceful, wonderful owners
This place is so quiet and unique. I loved it there, would stay all year if I could. The owners are wonderful, and want very much for you to be comfortable and happy. Fresh eggs everyday, including when you arrive. Along with orange juice in the fridge. It is small but not too small, just right for enjoying the freedome from housework. The area has so much to offer, Tombstone, Bisbee, and loads of natural beauty.

Great location for country surroundings and quiet
The place is in a beautiful setting, private, quiet, well appointed. It would be great for a single, or couple, but we were pushing its capacity with the two of us and 3 dogs for the length of time we were there.

gem of a cottage
We have used VRBO many times in the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. That being said, this cottage ranked at the highest mark on cleanliness and amenities. The bedding, pillows etc. were of good quality, along with a linen closet supplied with an ample amount of extras. There were personal items galore, such as soaps, lotions and cleaning solutions. Upon arrival we were supplied with fresh eggs, juice, fruit, bottles of water and plenty of coffee pods. The kitchen was also equipped with quality dishes and utensils. There was a good source of heat and even an additonial portable heater in the bathroom. Another bonus was the washer and dryer! The cottage is on the owner's property but situated so as to be private. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay and we were especially thrilled to be able to gather our fresh eggs as needed from the on site chicken coop. Much thought has been given to the needs and possible wants of those who stay in this cottage. Perfect location for accessing Fort Huachuca, National and State Parks.
