About this house rental

Walk in and prepare to be amazed with the complete make over of this 1930's quintessential Kiwi bach. Attention to detail to ensure your stay will be both comfortable and memorable is only a part of the package on offer here. All surfaces disinfected between guests.
Elevated with fabulously landscaped grounds to impress and entice you back again for another Piha holiday experience.
Perfectly laid out for couples.
There are two outdoor living spaces, one with a built in barbaque and table and the other on the deck with a partially covered area to stay out of the all day sun if you choose.
Move in, unpack and begin your kiwi vacation in style.
You will feel completely at home and very comfortable staying here, there has been no scrimping on the furniture or quality of both the bedding or the kitchen fit out so if you are into cooking, it is all here for you to put to good use. Both bedrooms come with fans.
There are two outdoor living spaces, one with a built in BBQ and dining table the other is on a partially covered deck where you have a dining table cape cod chairs and bench seats to sit and soak up the sun that sets right in front of the bach all year round.
The walking track to the beach is a 2 minute walk that runs along the property.
Move in unpack and be glad you have booked into the perfect Piha Bach.

Special conditions:
Four guest maximum, no tents, no mattresses or extra visitors staying over.
No furniture or bedding to be taken outside.
No parties or large groups of people.
Please be mindful of the other residents holidaying too.
Minimum stay of 2 nights throughout the year, Christmas & New Year a minimum of 5
nights and Long weekends 3 unless by special arrangement.
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$100 per stay); Linen (Required, NZ$25.00 per bedroom per stay)

A very stylish and well thought out bach with a beautiful garden land stunning view. Everything we could have wanted for a chilled out week end. Fabulous log burner all set to go with loads of wood. We loved the bach and would love to return in the summer to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor area and easy beach access. Thank you!!

From the moment we drove through the gates we knew we were going to have an amazing stay. No detail has been spared on this property, we appreciated all the design aspects of the bach, inside & out. Everything that we had hoped for when we planned our visit to Piha. Comfortable, well equipped private cottage with fabulous views and sunsets. Easy walk to beautiful Piha Beach. The hot water outdoor shower was a treat and you saw and heard nothing but the surf.

Incredible location! A short two minute walk to the beach and a ten minute walk to the Piha store which has everything a tourist needs. The home was beautiful too! The outdoor shower is such a nice feature. Hosts were easy to reach and communicate with. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Piha.

This darling little home packed everything we could ask for and then some! Spectacularly beautiful beach views with complete privacy. Exquisitely soft, comfortable bed & furniture. All the necessities in the kitchen & bath. Lovely outdoor areas for bbqing, sunning. An easy walk to the beach with a gorgeous outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and salt is the icing on the cake! This is a perfect piece of paradise. All you need is to stock up on food and drink before you leave Auckland, everything else is provided. The views, sun, privacy and quiet in this beautifully updated bach nestled amoungst stunning old pohutakawa trees makes you feel relaxed from the moment you drive through the gate. We feel so lucky to have stayed here, thank you Maxine and Jon. We will be back!

Return after 50 years finds the majestic lion as great as it was back in the 60s. Our stay short as it was was so enjoyable. The property as a whole was just perfect. The pohutukawa ,ti kouka, kowhai and palms were beautiful and property was quite magical. Family members came to view the place. Exploring and following the paths was a great hit. Inside the Bach was perfection. A Bach still with the old blends with the new. The view of the beach from windows snd decks was quite superb. It had everything one could wish for in accommodation. Maxine it was great to have you check in to see if all was well we appreciated that so Thankyou. We will be back.

Just amazing. Such a beautiful property and an extremely well maintained and appointed home. Views and walking proximity to the beach was wonderful. It is obvious that the owners want their guests to be impressed. We were blown away by the property. It far exceeded our expectations. What would likely have been an old Bach, has been transformed into a well loved holiday home. The views over Piha beach are amazing. We loved sitting in the deck and watching the surf roll in. Communication with the owners was fabulous. They left easy to follow instructions and were very responsive to emails. Great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Everything about our stay was amazing. The house is truly a gem. The view, the furnishings, the layout, and the location were so much more amazing than the pictures could possibly show. Maxine was responsive and thoughtful in her replies, and even helped us to extend one more night and arrange a special surprise at check-in. We will definitely be back and could not be more enthusiastic about our recommendation for this amazing home!

Everything about this Bach is 'spot on'; the elevated location a couple of minutes from the beach, stunning ocean view, lovely bush setting, beautifully renovated & decorated Bach retaining it's original charm, and plush beds and lounge furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you!!!

The owners have taken such a delightfully detailed approach to this home. The location is perfect with ocean views but quiet as it's back from the main road. I loved the retro china and vibe. There was stacks of firewood, a great shower and a well stocked kitchen. We managed to jam and drawer and a window wouldn't close after we opened it - but they were very sweet about it and even drove 2 hours to fix the window.

An immaculate, thoughtful renovation and the perfect place for a romantic get away, relaxing right in front of Piha's magnificent beach. Comfortable and stylish, every little detail has been thought of. The cottage is set amongst the trees and not a single house is visible in the view off the deck, just the pristine breakers, surfers and the most amazing sunsets. Only a 5 min walk to the water. The outdoor shower is brilliant; such a treat. Highly recommended, thank you to the owners for sharing it, we will be back!

The house is snuggled behind ancient Pohutukaws trees with a huge deck and panoramic view of the sea and surrounding hills, without another house in sight. The house is immaculately renovated in a modern take on retro 30s Bach with all the modern comforts but retaining or echoing original features. The bach has everything you coujd need plus thoughtful extra like insect screens and a fantastic hot outdoor shower. The landscaping using beautiful natural boulders blends seamlessly with the surrounding bush ans us full of native plants. Everything is comfortable, fresh and new feeling and the artwork snd vintage decor add colour and personality. We were totally smitten!

The property is styled to perfection and Jon/Maxine were more than accomodating allowing us to check out an hour later for our baby’s sleep routine. The house is tucked away perfectly in the some beautiful bushes, feels like you’re living right in the heart of Piha nature. The beach is much closer than the view suggests, literally 2min walk! Highly recommend for any romantic getaway with your loved one…

I cannot talk highly enough about the property and our stay. The house is set in a beautifully landscaped completely private section overlooking the Piha Beach. It is not right on the beach road, but back up the hill a little, but this did not detract from it at all, in fact it was a blessing. No cars, no people and no noise from the main road etc. The house is a beautiful and understated quintessential kiwi bach decorated in a modern bach style. The large front deck is completely private with all day sun and a stunning view of the beach and sunset. All the amenities are modern or original but work as you would expect any modern amenity. Lovely fire for winter nights. Maxine was a delight to communicate with and ensured we were provided with all the information we needed to make the stay as easy and nice as possible. I would highly recommend this place if you want to retreat into a private oasis in Piha but still have easy walking access to beach and shops. Thanks again. Simon
