Our family had a wonderful time, Ona's home was even more amazing than we expected. For this vacation, we wanted to get away from the big resorts and sharing a beautiful beach in the Bahamas with hundreds of people. This home was exactly what we wanted, we basically had the beach to ourselves all week long. The proximity of the house to shopping and dining was convenient while still being far enough away from any congested beach areas. Thank you so much Ona and Sarah for making our trip memorable and relaxing. We loved Freeport and its people, we will definitely try to book again next summer!

Well positioned property, secure controlled entry. Comfortable home with all amenities.
Short walk to lovely beach. Good stroll to The Sandbar but worth it.
All shopping , markets are close by , but would recommend car rental .
GBI very quiet and not crowded for the dates we were there ....... if that is what you are looking for.

We cannot say enough about this wonderful property.
Our family of 5 had more than enough room, enjoyed the very private, secluded beach and a beautiful porch overlooking the water. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone who made our stay seamless and thoroughly enjoyable!

I can’t say enough about how great our Bahamas trip was at this home. The owners are great to work with as they provided all the information we needed prior to arriving. They made arrangements for us to be picked up at the airport and have a driver during the week when we needed to go somewhere since we weren’t really interested in renting a car. We absolutely fell in love with Duke the driver. He is a wonderful man and we had some really fun van rides and many laughs with him.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Sarah who manages the property and she was so welcoming and kind. I have never rented a property that provided such a lovely arrival process as this one.
The home itself is beautiful and has everything you need for days at the beach. The huge porch facing the water is to die for and we spent most of our time out there when we were not on the beach. I loved to sit out there during a rain storm and read my book. It’s a short walk down a path to a beach that is absolutely stunning! It is very quiet and private. Many days we were literally the only people we could see in either direction for hours. I would recommend water shoes as there are some rocks. There is a coral reef with beautiful fish that you can swim out to right from the shore.
We met some of the other homeowners and made some new friends. Overall it is just perfect and we loved it so much we are considering looking for our own property to purchase.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us ❤️

Just What We Were Hoping For!
Stress-free is an apt description! This was a trip made easy thanks to this house and the absolutely amazing assistant- Sarah. She meets you at the airport, guides you through renting a car, leads you to Solomon's for groceries, and then escorts you to the house. Couldn't be easier and more friendly. The Joyce home easily handled 5 of us, and everything we needed was provided, even beach towels. Oma Joyce will give you great communication prior to your arrival. She recommended that we hire Sarah to cook a real Bahamian-style dinner, and that rec was on point- the highlight of the visit.
Definitely hit Banana Bay for lunch right up the beach. For great local eats, Out Da Sea was a hit. We enjoyed the marketplace, UNEXSO, Ocean Motion, Deadman's Reef, the shark feeding at Pier One and East....and Flying Fish Gastro Bar was a very expensive but worth it dinner, best appetizers ever.
5 Stars and hope to return :)

This is a beautiful and expertly maintained home nestled in a delightful gated community.
You will not be disappointed. In fact, the pictures do not do this property justice. It is very comfortable and the views are perfect. There is everything you need in this house for a great beach vacation. Plenty of towels, beach chairs etc. The kitchen has everything you need and the layout could easily accommodate one or more family units. The beach is very private and the bar/restaurant accessible by a short walk down the beach is such a great lunch spot! The owners are very easy to work with and they added a lot of very nice personal touches. Last but definitely not least is Sarah, the property's manager. She met us at the airport, called us a couple of times to check in and made a delicious Bahamian dinner for us on our last night stay! If you are looking to stay on Grand Bahama you cannot go wrong renting this home!

Great property and location
We truly loved our vacation in the Bahamas and the house was nice. There was still a lot of damage on the island from the hurricane last year but the diving and beaches were beautiful. The house needs some updating and work but was comfortable and clean. The slats on the patio rails were breaking away due to rusting nails, and it was hard to keep sand out of the house without a shower outside (you can rinse feet but not much more). The house had a lot of space and a family of 6 (4 adults, 2 teens) was very comfortable and we all had our own bathroom. Sarah (who managed the house) was very kind and helpful and picked us up at the airport and took us to get groceries and showed us around the house. We had plenty of beach supplies, rafts, etc. The house was very well stocked and I really appreciated the welcome basket of fruit and goodies. I would definitely recommend this house and the owners were great to work with. We would go back tomorrow if we could.

Perfect location, quiet, pristine beach and large, bright, comfy home
We were picked up by Sarah who was happy to show us around. This home is a short distance to grocery store, liquor store, small plaza, and close to main sight seeing sites, and an easy 10 min stroll to the Banana Bay pub on the beach. At the home, we were greeted by a large fruit basket, champagne, various other cold drinks, a large selection of cheese, and lots of basic staples found in the pantry. You don't need to do the grocery store trip right away on arrival. It can wait a day at least. The home as everything you could need, from shampoo, bugspray, to water floatie, books, luxurious bedding, and large rocking chairs on the front porch. The beach is 200 steps away, and is a dream: clear water, lots of snorkeling just at the front, there are rocky areas to explore. We had the beach to ourselves at least half of the time. Gradual gentle slope. And also low tide is just so gorgeous. The location is quiet and super relaxing. We could leave the loundge chairs by the grass on the beach in the evenings. (Don't look for the gazebo, the last storms of fall 2016 took it away.!) The pool at the back is great also. The boys could fish from the beach, got some fun action with a Bone Fish. The owners are so quick to respond to inquiries, and provide the most helpful information. We even had flight cancellations on the way back, we couldn't leave the island (due to the Atlanta storms in the US). We felt comfortable phoning the owners who kindly told us, to not worry and to just stay at the house ! It was so nice of them: everything was booked with a whole plane full of folks who couldn't leave the island, and they just housed us overnight for free. They took great care of us, these people have your back and care about you having a good time. We will return for sure!

Perfect for a birthday/retirement celebration
Sarah and Charlie are perfect hosts. They took care of any question or need that we had. Although we had high winds from the south everyday during our stay which resulted in non existent snorkeling, even at Deadmans reef, we did enjoy the beaches which our rental car gave us access to. Be sure to check out Old Freetown Beach, on the west side of the Lucayan National Park. Most beautiful deserted beach we found on the whole island which included finding plentiful sea biscuits as well as conks. Thanks to the Joyce family for sharing their beach house!

Beautiful spot in paradise
This was a very nice house close to a lovely beach with soft sand and gentle warm water. There were a couple of glitches - for example the air conditioning was not working when we got there. It was repaired, but it took a few days. This was not a major inconvenience as it was not particularly hot and there are fans in the house.
There was a nice shared pool in this gated community. Oddly it did not have any lounge chairs at it. Since we swim in the ocean, this was not really a problem. There was also a very nice tennis court which was well-kept up.
The owner and manager were extremely friendly. Everyone on the island does seem to be very laid-back and gracious.

A beautiful place to just soak in relaxation and the beauty of the ocean
We were able to stay in this property for one awesome week. The home is in a gaited and secluded neighborhood with so much quiet and privacy, it felt so safe and homey. The beach was beautiful and easy to walk on, we went for days without seeing a person on the beach. You could walk to a darling casual beach restaurant only 10 minutes away.
The home was open warm and welcoming. There were 3 nice sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds, pillows, and bed covering.....better than home! There is a large covered porch with dining table and rockers looking out at the ocean...hard to go inside! The home was stocked with everything we could want, even snorkels and masks, beach chairs, great towels, all the kitchen appliances, Wi-Fi and great TV. The owners made it all so nice, we felt like very pampered guests, it was all we had hoped for and more!!
We would definitely recommend this to our friends!

Great Family Getaway
Our family spent two weeks here (4 kids). It was the best beach vacation we have taken as a family. The location is perfect, with a great beach and plenty of privacy. The owner provided everything we needed - beach chairs, towels, and a very accessible manager. I highly recommend this property.

Heavenly Honeymoon
The moment we arrived at the airport Andrew met us and took us to the house and showed us around the area. We arrived at the lovely home situated in a beautiful private area and what a beautiful view of the ocean. The home was decorated so tastefully and had everything we needed from beach towels to beach chairs. The lovely front porch surrounded by many tropical trees and plants was the setting for many of our breakfasts and lunches. Oh yes and the beach was to die for. It was like having our own private beach and within a short walk down the sandy white beach there is the wonderful Banana Bay Restaurant. We are looking forward to another stay in the paradise away from home in the future.

Absolutely "Stress Free" Vacation!
I stayed here with my sons (aged 21 and 24) for 12 days. What a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The house is perfect...very comfortable, wonderful large porch with great view of turquoise blue water....lovely tropical gardens surround the property...all bedrooms with private bathroom. Additionally, the house is fully equipped with beach towels, water floats, beach lounge chairs, board games (we even all enjoyed playing scrabble together for the first time in years!). It is apparent that this house is more than a rental property...the owners, Ona and Ted, who were very helpful in their suggestions for various activities on the island, have made this a real home. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to cook some nice dinners which we enjoyed on the porch. My son was happy to discover an espresso pot along with a full set of espresso and cappaccucino cups! Andrew met us at the airport...showed us around the house ...what a charming host! He even offered to purchase some lobster tails for us which we thoroughly enjoyed! Duke, the taxi driver, took us into Lucaya a few evenings where we had a nice dinner at Giovanni's and Le Med...and afterwards we went to the casino to play the slots!
This was our first trip to the Bahamas and we were overwhelmed by the Bahamians..everyone was so pleasant and helpful! The house was a good find...the beach absolutely beautiful and private... Just like the photos on the website. Don't forget to stroll up to Bananna Bay for fresh fried grouper sandwiches and a Kalik...Bahamian beer. Hope to return next year.

Perfect vacation on the beach.
We were really looking forward to a holiday in the sun after the terrible winter we had . And we were not disappointed. The house was perfect and everything it says on the site. It is located on a perfect beach and is tastefully decorated and very relaxing. The ocean and beach are to die for, the sand crystal white and ocean blue green. The water was just right and we spent many hours snorkeling and swimming with our children. There is even a palm tree on the beach to get some shade under.
All that you need to cook is provided in a well equipped kitchen, and we eat all our meals on the covered porch overlooking the gardens and ocean.
Banana Bay restaurant fifteen minutes walk along the beach serves great fish sandwiches and frozen drinks. It has a wonderful deck on the beach.
There were ample bedding, towels, beach towels and chairs provided at the house. There is a washer dryer provided no need to over pack as we did.
The property is safe and secure and good for children, with ordinary families living there. The pool is rarely used by others while we were there and we had it all to ourselves. A car is needed as the local town is three or four miles away.
We highly recommend this holiday house and will definitely be returning next year.

Lovely stay on Grand Bahama Island
My husband and I stayed at this villa with my mother, aunt, and her husband. This was the perfect location for us. The villa was located in a extremely quiet, gated community with a lovely beach, swimming pool and tennis court. The beach supplied good snorkelling, spots to bathe with hard sand bottom, a beach bar (about 500 m away) and kilometres of beach space for walking either direction. At no time during the holiday was there any feeling of a lack of privacy or security.
The villa itself was laid out perfectly with three bedrooms, each with their own walk-in closet and bathroom. The living room and dining room were comfortable, and the large deck, where we ate almost all meals, was sheltered and comfortable. Two large ceiling fans were useful when the heat on the deck was highest. There were laundry facilities and a kitchen at the back of the home. The only negative was that the kitchen was in need of minor maintenance, primarily involving plumbing issues.
All-in-all, a lovely place to stay in a great location for people who do not like the all-inclusive, large hotel scene.
