About this house rental
“Sunset Vista” offers a spectacular 180-degree panoramic view of Yachats Bay to the south and the majestic Pacific to the west and the north. Enjoy the sunset from the expansive deck that surrounds the house and from the large dining room and living room windows. This 2,100 sq. ft. home, nestled in a quiet neighborhood with majestic fir trees, has been recently updated to include new furnishings and artistic decor.
The upstairs living level has a large kitchen, breakfast bar, dining room with window-facing chairs for morning coffee, and a living room, all with fabulous ocean views! This same level has a bedroom complete with the lull of ocean sounds, a king size bed and a private glass door to the deck. The hall bathroom has a shower/tub combination.
A handcrafted wood spiral staircase leads to the lower level of the house. The downstairs features a family room for games and entertainment with comfortable chairs and a sofa that converts to a queen bed. Two downstairs bedrooms accommodate guests, one with a queen bed, one with two twin beds. There is a bathroom with a shower combination. Please be advised: The unique design of the spiral staircase makes this home unsuitable for families with toddlers or young children.

This gorgeous home was a perfect close walk to shops and restaurants. Outstanding deck views and full window views inside too. Home had everything we could have wanted and more. Cozy movie area for kids too. So many amazing tidal pools and hikes within 15 minutes! Would come back again!

We were traveling on motorcycles with two other couples & Sunset Vista worked great for us! The home was clean and spacious. The large windows provided the most wonderful views of the ocean! The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware & dinnerware. There is no off-street parking, so it was nice to have the garage. Downtown was an easy walk away. Yachats is a beautiful little community.

Trail from house down to a decent bar/restaurant and the main road in town was a bonus! We had two rainy hours one afternoon. Wonderful to sit in front of the large windows and watch the sea and the rain until it was nice enough to get outside and hike along the coast.

Three college roommates reunited to celebrate our 80th birthdays in Yachats. Rain, high winds and big surf was predicted for our 3 night stay. The house location gave us a distanced but perfect seat for watching the excitement of the waves.
The house is an artistic joy. It’s well equipped and furnished well.

Beautiful property with lots of space for our group and the perfect view of Yachats bay. Very short hike down the convenient hill trail to town, the grocery store and restaurants. Nice to have the safe garage parking too. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

This a wonderful home above Yachats. It had everything we needed or wanted...spices, kitchen gadgets, books, games, an amazing view and fantastic art work. This a home w personality! It was clean, easy walk to shopping or the beaches. The deck wrapped around the house and afforded great views to the west. Comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing outside; but space to separate if you wanted to. Kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms had plenty of supplies. We would definitely stay in this home again in the future. There was information available but no onerous list of chores or instructions. This is a comfortable and welcoming home.

Very centrally located house with wonderful views. We were able to walk to our favorite restaurants in Yachats. The kitchen is well stocked and we found everything we needed. We have stayed at this house before and will stay there again if available.

We recently stayed at the Sunset Vista house and enjoyed our stay very much. The house is centrally located a few blocks away from downtown and restaurants. Easily walkable up and down a little hill. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking items, dishes and basic condiments. The view from the deck is lovely. I would stay there again.

This is a special place! It’s clean and organized. We stayed with two other couples and used the kitchen to cook group meals. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and baking. The dining area is great for group dining or card games and of course the view from the deck is the best. It is right in the center of town but you can’t see or hear the traffic. It’s quiet and private but very close to all the action so it’s the best of both worlds. Highly recommended.

The house was just as described, and very welcoming. The kitchen and bathrooms were so well-equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the division of space between upstairs and downstairs, and having a garage was nice, too. The tilework is colorful and fun, as is the choice of paint colors throughout the house. We liked the short walk into town to explore shops and go to the grocery store. We had just a really nice visit.

The house was exactly as pictured. Wonderful views, kitchen fully supplied with all we needed (except an apron), comfortable table and environment. The property management person went out of his way to accommodate my polyester intolerance with the bedding, which I appreciated greatly. Our only suggestion is to clean the cloth furniture, which smells like many uses and people. This includes the living room chairs, wicker chair seats, and to a lesser degree, the sofa. We loved the place and found it relaxing and enjoyable. The location was excellent--close to town, with terrific ocean views. We watched the ocean during the day and sometimes, at night when the moon glowed on the waves.

Perfect getaway for friend reunion
Such a fun and relaxing space for a 3-friend reunion. The house was clean, spacious and as other reviews indicated, full of interesting decor and art! The deck facing the ocean was a perfect spot to wake up with coffee and wind down after a day of exploring. A central location for area exploration by foot and car. The house was adequately stocked with necessary kitchen items and linens. Connecting with Ocean Odyssey Rentals was challenging but overall our stay was wonderful! Would book again!

Being just one level up the hill from the businesses was very convenient, you could see the local grocery store from the deck. We had a small raccoon in the crook of a tree just off the deck, a black tailed deer and 2 spotted fawns, a family of chipmunks and many humming birds visit while we were there. Beach access and tide pools were just minutes away. The kitchen was well stocked with seasonings and cookware. We would stay here again. Exceeded our expectations.

3 good friends knitting and sewing, overlooking the ocean, watching basketball, cooking good food. This is a very spacious, clean, comfortable, well maintained home. If you get tired of sitting and watching the ocean, you can get good exercise by walking a very short distance to Yachats center or walk around in the hills, or walk or drive to the beach to walk. Excellent customer service.
