About this bed and breakfast
Stay in a cozy beach style guest house located on private property. Guest house is very secluded. Sits far back off the street with parking right out your door.
One Bedroom upstairs with two full beds.
Due to bedroom being a semi open loft and not very private it's best suited for couples or small family
Patio deck with outdoor furniture, BBQ’r on deck. There is Wireless Network but cable no telephone. Laundry room has detergent, iron and ironing board. Bathroom has a tub with shower and lots of soft towels, shampoo, bar soap and hair dryer. Kitchen is equipped with all the utensils, spices, oil, and coffee, so you don’t need to pack any.
We are a mile and a half to the bike and walking trail, you can ride or walk all around the Monterey Bay. Bus stop is close by and will take you to down town Monterey where you can catch a trolley to Cannery Row. The Aquarium is on Cannery Row and it's 8 miles by car. You can see a peek of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom but it’s still a mile and half walk to the beach. Walk the beach to the Monterey wharf, it’s beautiful.
Laguna Seca Raceway and the Monterey Fairgrounds is just a few miles away. We have wonderful golf courses near by, Bayonet Black Horse; Monterey Pines and Laguna Seca Golf Ranch.
Safeway, Walgreens, Chili's, and a few good restaurants are close by so you don't need to drive into Monterey or Carmel.
Bike Rentals in Cannery Row, you can ride and enjoy the bike trails around the bay.

This was a great spot for our family. Tucked in a quiet residential area but close to all the places we wanted to visit. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The host was very communicative and helpful. Even checked to see if we wanted her to turn the lights on for us for our arrival. Would definitely book again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable, well located and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed there. The laundry facilities were greatly appreciated! We would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it without reservation.

We stay at this guest house at least yearly and it never disappoints. The host is very thoughtful and has made sure everything is available for your stay. The Keurig coffee machine even has a “shot” size that is perfect for a packet of instant oatmeal. The location is quiet with great onsite parking and is centrally located so it’s easy to get to any of the Monterey Bay area attractions. Seaside has grown and there are excellent restaurants and brewery in town.

This VRBO was hands down one of my favorites in Monterey with the affordability and comfortability! Cecelia was nice enough to offer extra amenities to go visit places around the area on discount. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time for my sister! Location worked out for all of us. Also, able to learn and navigate our way in Monterey County.
The lodging was perfect and enjoyed two homemade dinners.
Thank you!!

Cecelia is an outstanding host. The guest house was perfect for the two of us with everything in the kitchen, laundry, bathroom, bedroom, living room, dining area, and even a patio area were well stocked with supplies. We felt comfortable in a quiet neighborhood using offstreet parking as our vacation home base. 13 minutes to Laguna Seca, our weekend destination. Much Mahalo!

This was our last chapter on our California road trip, going to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and camping in Yosemite. Cecelia’s guesthouse was so welcoming, it had everything we needed, parking, clean beds, lovely garden, great washer and dryer which we really needed after camping, and in the right position for everywhere.
We loved the area, did a whale watch, ate clam chowder in sourdough which was to die for.
We would easily recommend the guesthouse to anyone visiting Monterey.

This is by far the best guesthouse with kitchen, living, dining room, bathroom, laundry room, and outside dining. The owner is very nice, and very helpful! From this guesthouse it is only minutes to great fun, food and shopping! Loved it!

This cottage is back off the road so it was very private and quiet. The style is attractive and pleasing to the eye. It was great to have a kitchen and a full-size fridge. The mattresses were good quality and the sheets smooth. The loft bedroom did get warm, but there are many windows that open to the sea breeze. There is plentiful hot water, but be careful because it gets really hot. The host was very helpful and considerate! Awesome place to stay!

Would stay again!
The on line info says there is a DVD music player. There is none.
Also, no passes to the aquarium.
Need to update the data.

We have stayed in this guesthouse multiple times and plan to be back again. It’s close to the Laguna Seca venue, Monterey Bay Coastal trail for biking and a short drive to downtown Monterey. The on-site parking is convenient as well as the nice deck for stretching and relaxing.

Our hostess communicated with us regularly. She also shared some fresh baked delicious cookies with us. The kitchen was small but well equipped with everything we needed. The beds upstairs were great!!! The internet was acting up but we didn't say anything until the end of our stay and were scolded for not telling her sooner so it could have been fixed. There is a large comfy couch and huge dining table and benches. We were there for five nights and loved coming home from our daytime excursions. It was a great location for tons of great activities. The Monterey Aquarium is a must-see!

The Monterey area weather doesn't always cooperate! When planning a trip here, we didn't anticipate heavy rains and area power outages. Fortunately for us the Seaside Guesthouse had power!. It was very nice, clean and very comfortable. We spent more time in the house than we anticipated. It had all of the amenities of home. the hosts were very accommodating!
Thank you

We were welcomed with a warm cottage while it was cold outsede when we arrived. The space is lovely -- kitchen, laundry, bathtub...and a fun loft!
Cecilia is thoughtful and communicative. She provided Aquarium passes, wifi and great communication.
We hope to be back and refer this place to friends and relatives!

I enjoyed the week I spent in the Monterey area in Dec 2022. The property was clean, easy checkin, good parking off-street. I gave it 4 stars for reasons:
- The heating could not be regulated so that it was comfortable both downstairs and in the loft bedroom. I set the heat control so that the downstairs was only 65 which left the bedroom loft at a bit over 70 degrees.
- There are no curtains on the windows in the bedroom making it difficult to sleep later in the morning.
- The TV is limited to streaming services as there is no network (e.g. CNN, NBC

We thoroughly enjoyed this charming, well stocked guest house. It is convenient to Monterey and the beaches. We would stay here again, it was as cozy and comfortable as the photos implied.

We were literally 15 or so minutes from Carmel, Monterey, and Pacific Grove. So if you’re looking to visit those places and not pay an exorbitant amount, this is the place for you. Had a little trouble with the internet, but not too bad. Owner lives right next door and always very accommodating.

Overall a great place that had everything. Our host was special.
Thanks Cecelia

Cute place and close to Aquarium and Big Sur
This is a good landing spot if you want to explore the Monterey area and Big Sur. The bedroom isn't private, because it's essentially the loft, but that was okay for us. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the owner communicated well with us. We loved having access to the Aquarium guest passes.

Adorable home!
This was a perfect pit stop on our California coast road trip. Quiet neighborhood (we were there on weeknights), clean comfy house, easy access to anything we needed, and a great home base for different adventures in the area.

Definitely Recommend This Place
Everything was perfect. Spotless, nicely furnished, beautiful yard, well-stocked with various food items, spices, toiletries, games, books, and more. Easy check-in with an electronic lock.
The two beds were very comfortable and our friend loved sleeping on the large wide L-shaped sofa. The washer and dryer were a nice surprise.
We'd definitely come back again.

Convenient location in residential neighborhood
Clean and quiet older small home not far from downtown Monterey or Carmel by the Sea. Was a nice size for my husband and me. Also a short ride to some very nice golf courses in Seaside.
