We had a wonderful 10 day stay at this beautiful location. It was a good starting point for many trips to the west coast. Also the lake view from the main room is absolutely marvellous. We would recommend this house.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. And the view of the lake from the living room was always very beautiful.
There is a great pub and two shops for all necessities in Whitegate near by.
The property is perfect if you want to explore the Lough Derg.

We all loved this property, beautiful, peaceful setting, incredibly comfortable and hosts were responsive to all communications. The photos do not do it justice. This is the first VRBO property that I have felt this way about. Most other property’s photos seem more spacious and sunnier. This one is better in person. It's an amazing place. Stayed with 4 other friends, all older, and we hated leaving. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

My family and I absolutely loved this rental, and are completely thankful and grateful. Such a beautiful location, and centrally located. The washer and dryer combination is the best I've ever had in my various stays in Europe for the last 20 years! Not kidding! Rita, the host, is so responsive and helpful. Very happy with our stay! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :-)

We had a amazing holiday, the house is the most well equiped we have ever stayed in, Rita has literally thought of everything you may need. The beds are wonderful and comfortable. I travelled with my 80 year old mum and my 11 and 8 year old children. They loved the space.
The position of the house is just beautiful, waking up to the panoramic lake view each morning and watching the sunsets was a highlight!
The house is ideally situated for sightseeing we visited the Cliffs of Moher. Lahinch, Spanish point, Killaloe, Kilrush, Kilkee and Adare to visit family.
Thank you for an unforgetable.holiday.

Our 1 week stay at whitegate was amazing. The location of the property is stunning.
The house itself had everything we needed, it was like home from home. The house was very clean and very well kept. County Clare and Galway are beautiful areas in ireland and this house is perfectly located to allow you to discover all that the west coast of Ireland has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious house. It was a little bit difficult with the ensuite bathroom as we travelled with friends and family. A separate guest toilet on the ground floor would have been ideal. The kitchen was almost well equipped. Sufficient glasses for 6 people would have been helpful. However, that hasn't bothered us so much. Great would have been a possibility to rent a boat to discover the nice little lake at the house. Swimming in the lake was difficult as we had no boardwalk. Nevertheless we enjoyed the fantastic view and we would recommend it as a lovely place for vacation.

We loved our stay here. House was spacious and the big windows facing the lake were wonderful. When we were at the house we spent most of the time watching the swans and their cygnets. Rita was very responsive to any questions and her brother who came to help us with a few things was a gem. Plenty of space and all the amenities you'd need in the kitchen. Would stay here again.

Perfect vacation spot!
House was perfect! It was centrally located for us to use as our home base for different daytrips. Rita is such a great host. Anything you could possibly need she helps with. Example: we traveled from the US and couldn’t find hairdryer at the house (our mistake we actually found it in a closet later in week). Sent a text asking about it and she had someone deliver a hairdryer to the front door about 20 minutes later! I’ve never worked with someone so accommodating! The lake view from the living room is incredible too. Sunsets were beautiful!

Idyllic perfect home on gorgeous lake in a friendly small town!
The house is beautiful and very large. More than enough room for our family of 6 adults. Located in a great small town and within driving distance to the cliffs and Galway and very close to a few castles. We loved our stay and would happily return. Thank you so much, our vacation was wonderful.

A wonderful stay
We spent the most beautiful week over Christmas at this house. The house is fabulous, even nicer than the pictures. Stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. A open fire to while away the hours overlooking a quiet calm lake. Can’t say enough about this house. A gem. We’d definitely go back.
