We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen essentials and bathroom necessities. The kids loved having the treehouse and swings to play on and the adults like being able to sit outside under the awning to relax and watch them. My only complaint would be to suggest adding curtains on the bedroom windows that can be closed. As soon as the sun came up the light illuminated through the fabric blinds & lit up the whole room which made sleeping in hard. We’ll definitely keep this cabin on our rotation list.

Great property for little kids - the treehouse was a hit, and the place was clean and well stocked. Very quiet property just outside of town. Will be staying here again.

This cabin is great for families, and this was our second stay. The only issue we had was with the wifi, which didn't work even after resetting the router. Fortunately, our phone hotspots kept the kids entertained on their tablets, so it wasn't a major problem for us. Maria is very responsive and a pleasure to rent from. The home is well-stocked and nicely appointed. One thing to keep in mind is that the upstairs gets very warm in the summer. We visited over Memorial Day weekend, and it was quite uncomfortable at night without opening the windows. However, when the windows were open, the blinds would flap around in the wind. Despite these minor inconveniences, we would stay at this cabin again.

PROS:4 nights.house was nice and cozy. Kitchen was clean and had pretty much everything needed. This year we decided to have a get away as our Christmas "gift." It was nice spending time with family all on one place.5 adults and 3 kids. The kids loved the play house & we all enjoyed the outdoor seating and swings. Beds and pillows were not bad. CONS:#1 disappointment was the shower.I timed it (after my 1st cold shower). The hot water only lasted (literally) 5 minutes. Towards the end of the 5th min it would start to get cold. Mind you, it got as cold as 32° a couple of nights. After a hike & cooking Christmas dinner all day a nice hot shower, without having to rush would have been devine! We had to take turns with hours in between any showers. The 2nd issue was all the POOP! I know there are wild animals in this area (although, sadly we did not see even one). The yard was exaggeratedly filled with what I can only assume was elk/deer scat. Like it was everywhere! We went on a few walks outside of the property fence and there was a significant less amount in the "wild" than in the yard. Not sure why. But it was excessive. There was also a tiny, maybe 3ft Christmas tree set up. Which I was excited for, but the lights did not work. Good thing there was a Walmart near by, so we went and got a tiny string of lights for it. Also, nowhere in the house rules does it state to not wear shoes in the house. But at the door it says to remove them. It was raining so we took them off inside.

What a great property for a bigger crew. The house was very comfortable and the property was great for the kids. The playhouse was perfect for our littles.
Beds were super comfy and we were able to all sit at the table for meals. This place is wonderful.

A great experience from the time of booking to the time of checking out. Any questions we had prior to checking in were answered within 12hrs. by the host Maria (quicker after a conversation was started).
We had a group of 10, 2 different families. Everyone had place to lay their head. Plenty of space for everyone to gather for breakfasts and dinners as well. The views and sunrises were fantastic. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Hiking trails just a short distance away, 30min or less.
The kids were wondering where the zipline was. I can only assume it was taken down or broke because no one could find it. And the 4 burner grill only allowed the use of 3 burners. When attempting to use a 4th burner the gas would "puff out"; must have been something with the factory set regulator. Obviously not a deal breaker. We learned to use 3 burners for burgers and brats, still plenty of heat. Not worth a call to the host.
Overall, like I stated before, our families had a memorable time at this wonderful property.
Thanks, Maria.

We had the pleasure of staying in Maria's beautiful cabin this summer. It provided tons of yard space for our children to enjoy. The tree house/swings were a hit! The home was spotless and beautifully renovated. The location was perfect for us. It is close to Water Wheel Falls and other hiking trails. We would recommend to family members and friends. Thank you Maria for hosting our family. We would love to return in the future.

Great place with plenty of room for the family and kiddos.
Hostess was great, answered all my questions promptly and accommodated our last minute schedule change, Kudos.
Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and store our meals.
Not having the TVs was a great selling point on this place, forced the kids and the adults to spend a little more time outside or inside engaging one another.

Lovely escape in the Payson mountains
This was a great property for families with young kids. Lots of space to explore outside and a great play area with a treehouse and swings. Our kiddos loved it! There is plenty of space upstairs and down -- great kitchen and living area as well. The location does not have a TV which is a bummer but other than that it is very family friendly. Definitely suggest staying there if you are looking for a lovely escape in the fresh mountain air.

Perfect for a family get away
This home was absolutely perfect for my family. Enough rooms for all the adults and the bunk room fit our kids beautifully. You can send the kiddos outside to play while relaxing on the patio. Also really close to the crossings and water wheel!

This was a perfect place for our family to spend time, share old memories, create new ones and form a closer bond with each other. Property owner was great, I had no problem re-scheduling trip due to illness; owner was also very contactable - had small problem at house but was able to contact owner immediately and problem was resolved in minutes. We all loved it and we would stay here again. I highly recommended this property :)

**did not end up staying ***
We booked this with our teen/college age kids over New Year’s. It’s a beautiful location with amazing views as we approached the house. In the listing way down to the bottom it states there are no TV’s to promote family bonding and I missed that. We have 2 football players in our family and big sports fans. We walked in and turned around and left. NYE and Day our bonding is food, card games and football bowl games. The House was clean but not as updated as pictures look. Bunk beds also can only hold children 100 lbs or less which doesn’t fit our family. We didn’t get any of our $ back but it was a big miss on our part as well. Good place to stay in the summer with small children who can play outside, take naps and watch movies on their iPads.

Not what we expected
The property was clean, rooms were exactly as advertised. The communication with the property manager/owner was a disappointment. I would message her but she would take several hours to respond and when she would respond she would not address the questions originally asked. The only time she responded immediately was when I advised her she had a nest of wasps on the property. She asked where and never even said thank you for letting me know, nothing. So with wasps on the outside of the home it was scary going outside.
Another thing that was a disappointment is that the fireplace and grill both operate on propane gas, she made it clear before checking in that if there is no gas in the tanks they are not responsible for restocking the gas. So if you get lucky there might be some from a previous guest or you will have to spend your own money to fill their tank and then leave it on the property. You also might want to take your own garbage bags. There was only 1 extra bag for us to use, so two bags for the whole weekend with 7 people total. The dishwasher doesn't clean, all of the dishes have dish detergent stuck on them, so unless you want to eat that or cook with the detergent you need to wash the dishes before using them.
The property is big and quiet, we didn't miss the tv but the property does face East and West, so if you are sleeping in the master bedroom you will wake up early with the sun in your eyes. The blinds don't block out the sun and there are no curtains. Needless to say we won't be back.

The perfect get away!
This property is stunning and so so relaxing! How refreshing it was not to have a tv and have to be outdoors! We did have some youngsters with us and the treehouse made for a fun retreat. The boys also got in some disc golf on the property! I came back from a long weekend so refreshed. A highlight for me was making smores with the grandkids! The beds were cozy & the decor was stunning! We will be back to enjoy some fresh air and the great outdoors! Thank you so much for everything Maria!

Family trip. Great large property. Lots of room for the kids to play in the yard. Very nice home. Close to many outdoor attractions. Overall awesome vacation.

We just got back from a wonderful few days at Maria's house close to Payson but out and away where we could enjoy some quiet time with our immediate family with few distractions and a break from the heat. Everything was just as advertised and we had enough space for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Check-in was smooth and easy. The area was having a power outage when we arrived affecting 7500 customers so I was glad we were at least able to get in and the power was back on in a few hours while we were at dinner anyway so it worked out fine. The home is very clean and well looked after by the owners. We enjoyed not having TVs in the house and no one even missed them. The kids loved the outdoor treehouse and swings to play on. The deck is great to just sit out on for the adults to watch them play. Inside we found the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed. We would definitely enjoy coming back again sometime so thank you Maria for opening up your home to us for a great trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Payson home. The house was spacious and amenities were just as described. The beds were very comfortable and the house was quiet at night. The outdoor space was our favorite area to spend time. So much land to roam around and explore. The kids enjoyed all of the swings and clubhouse. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast lunch and dinners. The decorations throughout the home made it extra special. The best part of the trip…the kids were so busy playing and exploring they never even noticed there were no TVs!

This house is amazing! So much space, clean and open. Huge table outside. Was a little disappointed about the zip line not being there because that was the main reason why we booked the house but the kids had so much fun on the swings that they didn't even missed it, they played outside the whole day. The area is quiet and it feels like you are far away from anything, exactly what we wanted!
