About this cottage rental

I have 3x delightfully restored beach cottages in South Redondo a block from the beach-located on the same grounds as the other beach cottages (BBC2 & BBC3).
The Burnham Beach Cottage(s) was built at the turn of the century originally as a B&B.
We are a unique property so please feel free to email me with any questions or requests.

Simply put……a B&B experience with the privacy & independence of a vacation rental…...

This cottage comprises of 1 bedroom, living room with comfy queen-size sofa/futon bed, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower and grounds where you can BBQ, relax around in the grounds or just take in the evening sunsets on your porch. You will be provided with ironed bed linens, bath & beach towels, wi-fi, TV, iron & ironing-board, bath salts so as to enjoy the claw-foot tub to the fullest.
Please note the cottage is ideal for 2 but can accommodate 4.

Enjoy the ocean & views within minutes from the cottage. Walk,stroll,jog or ride the coastline path that starts here in Redondo and goes all the way to Malibu; ...easily engage in surfing, swimming, volleyball, walking, running, skating, biking, hiking....there's heaps to do in these beach cities & the list continues....art/food/music festivals, outdoor movies in the parks/on the beach, international volleyball tournaments to watch, or if you would rather just relax in our gardens or on the beach and do nothing... you can do that too...
Varied selection of restaurants/cafes are on hand.
We are a quintessential SoCal beach town,close to LA without being in the hectic rush of LA. All is easily accessible by freeways, public transportation, sightseeing tours pick-up at local hotel.
Enjoy LA in a beach oasis- it makes coming to LA quite a different experience...
Terrific spacious outdoor peaceful yard area(s) great for socializing, reading, chatting to new friends or just enjoying the sunsets.
Also*** For that Special Occasion that you want to do something super special let us know we will help with suggestions and/or help organize for you....

The cottage was so charming and clean. My brother, sister and I had a great time and really enjoyed the outside spaces which had many seating areas that had beautiful planting. The location is great and is in walking distance of many conveniences. The host was so welcoming and responsive. I highly recommend and will likely come again!

Very clean and comfortable space. Very well equipped. Cottage is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach and many great restaurants/coffee shops. Outdoor areas are beautifully landscaped and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Short walk to the beach and a cool spot for breakfast. If you have knee challenges beware: all of the seating is lower than standard height.

Excellent location for a low key weekend. So quiet, comfortable bed, sunny patio, walk to the water, bike ride on the strand, both good coffee and cold beer close by. Wendy was a great host amd the cottage was adorable. Looking forward to coming back!

My friend and I stayed for a weekend in one of the two cotteges. Very private and cozy. Wendy was very informative and helpful if anything was needed. We borrowed two bikes from her to travel up and down the strand. I would most definitely book from her again.

First of all, this was such a great experience from the get-go. Wendi, the property owner coordinated to meet us to show us the property when we arrived. Wendy lives in the front house and there are three rentable properties on the lot. The vibe is very positive Just as Wendy was. we were lucky enough to hear and see the migrating parrots that always pass through the Redondo Beach area. The cottage was adorable, clean, and the claw foot tub with bath salts included was so relaxing. Top it off one of my childhood friends was a half block away. Although we typically stay on the strand, we have no choice but to return to Wende‘s property because it was so cool. I hope this helps travelers!

Very cute, well appointed cottage. Wendy was awesome and extremely helpful. Walk around the corner to the beach and some really good restaurants. Very comfy bed and pillows. Would definitely come back!

This property was wonderful! It is within walking distance to the beach and Redondo Pier. The shared outdoor space was so beautiful and peaceful! It was myself, husband and 2 kids. It is small with one bathroom but was perfect for what we needed! Would recommend and stay again! Thank you!

My family and I had a wonderful time in the Redondo Beach area. Our VRBO‘s were exactly what we needed to accommodate our two small families. The cottages are small, as advertised, but as cute and roomy, as we actually needed as we were out and about most of our trip. The beds were very comfy, the cleanliness was exceptional, and the upkeep of the property showed great love by the owner. Originally, I believe Wendy, the owner was hesitant to allow two 4 year old children to stay in the residences, but she warmed up to the idea when the children were well behaved and respectful. There is a third small cottage on the property that we hope to utilize the next time we take a family trip to California.

Had an amazing time at this beautifully maintained beach cottage. Couldn’t ask for more- walking distance to the beach and all amenities. Wendy was a great host and made sure everything was taken care of. Leaving with great memories. Hope to be back someday.

Burnham Beach Cottage was the perfect location for enjoying the South Bay beaches. We rented bicycles and rode from Redondo to Manhattan Beach and enjoyed the character of each along the way. Our hostess gave us fabulous food recommendations and was so helpful in our every endeavor for the week. The Farmers Market on Thursday was a highlight as well. The kitchen is well-stocked with needed cooking provisions. I would definitely return to this cottage and so appreciate the hospitality of our dear hostess.

If you are looking for an authentic LA beach down cottage experience this is it. The cabins are small but cozy and very very charming, with everything you need. The properly is spotless without losing its vintage charm. Location right by the pier. Highly recommended. It’s like stepping back in time to a more carefree era

This was a step back in time! In a very good way. I love old things that have been loved back to life and this Cottage hit the mark for us. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well each night! Claw foot Tub/shower combo was also a treat for me. Loved the colors (RED) of this Cottage and the retro Kitchen set up. Close to the beach and pier. We walked down every evening to see the sunset then went to dinner near by. Wendy was a great resource, very friendly and helpful. Thank you Wendy for your hospitality! Joe and Helena

We stayed for a week. The space was cozy and perfect for two people. I liked the ability to cook for ourselves. The location is great if you want to be close to the beach. It’s a beautiful little secluded oasis. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay there again.
