About this villa rental
Villa Ventana is a modern Mexican architectural masterpiece perched on a hill above Los Muertos Beach and Vallarta's historic Old Town commanding unobstructed views of all of Vallarta and the entire Bay of Banderas and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Throughout your stay you will be pampered by our English speaking local staff including our House Manager Lette, Assistant Manager and Concierge Yoshi, and our professionally trained Master Chef, Eugenio. While our staff are not on site 24 hours a day, they are available at any time if needed. Our staff work Monday through Saturday with the chef preparing two meals of your choice daily. You only pay for the groceries and we do all the shopping for the finest ingredients. If you arrive or depart on a Sunday there is no additional charge for meal preparation otherwise it is availble for a small fee.
We take great pride in our exquisitely prepared cuisine and will be in touch with you prior to your arrival to confirm your menu selection for your arrival dinner. All other meal choices can be selected after arrival, with the exception of meal preparation for events in which case we would like to plan further in advance. We also have a full time spa therapist on staff, and our House Manager and Assistant Manager/Concierge are always available to assist you with local reservations and knowledge, and of course to deal with any issues that may arise. The owner are also always available by phone or text.
The typical guest day goes as follows. Breakfast is served between 9 and 10:30 (or other times if preferred by guests). At breakfast, our House Manager or Assistant Manager review and confirm the menus for the following day as we shop daily for fresh ingredients. Quite often our guests go to the beach, shopping, or partake in tourist excursions during the day and eat lunch outside of the villa - but of course our staff are available to make lunch for in house guests. Early in the afternoon our guests tend to start making their way back to the villa while our staff are preparing drinks and snacks. Dinner is usually served in the early to mid evening hours by our Chef and one other staff member who stay through dinner service and clean up before leaving the villa for the day. Note, this is just a typical example. We of course have many guests that rarely venture from the villa, while others seem to be more on the go.
As the owners live in Seattle and New Zealand when not in Mexico, we are also available via phone, text or email 24/7. In the 23 years that we have been renting our properties in Vallarta, there have only been a handful of occasions when we have been called upon to assist with issues. The reason for this is that our staff are trained to the highest of standards, our managers speak excellent English and are masters at problem solving. Quite often though guests have significant contact with us (the owners) personally prior to their stay assist while planning their itinerary and making local recommendations.
Our location is a big part of what makes Villa Ventana so magical with unobstructed panoramic views from every room in the villa (with the exception of the media room). On either side of the villa are large lots that have not been built on and are native jungle. We own one of the lots which we acquired to insure our space remains private. We are in a residential neighborhood, but walking distance to town, beaches and restaurants. The majority of our guests do not rent cars and prefer to walk or avail themselves of taxis or Uber. Walking distance to town/beaches/restaurants is about 10 minutes or a 2-3 minute taxi/Uber ride.

Our stay at Villa Ventana was absolutely amazing. We were a group of 11, and the villa offers stunning views of the ocean and all of Puerto Vallarta. The property is well appointed with spacious common areas to gather as a group while also offering quiet corners and nooks to sit privately to relax, read or just take in the spectacular vista. The house staff was so attentive and accommodating and indulged all of our culinary and other requests. We all agreed this was one of our best vacations ever and we look forward to a future stay!

This could not have been a more perfect experience. We stayed here for my bachelorette with 11 girls total. It felt like pure heaven the whole time. The food was amazing. The staff was THE BEST!!!! My group of girls and myself stayed here for my bachelorette party. We had the absolute best time. From the moment we entered the villa we were treated like royalty by the staff. The meals that were cooked for us were top notch and more than what we could have asked for. Lette was so helpful setting up our rides from the airport and coordinating all meals. The property itself is gorgeous and offers views from every single area of the home. Don’t think twice about booking this villa. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The property and staff are excellent. All our expectations were met, however we found it more than a 10 minute walk to the beach and Old Town, however this did not detract from our stay. Lette, Raphael and Eugenio were professionals, yet made us feel like they were part of our family! One of the staff experienced a life cycle event during our stay and we all celebrated the event! The meals were excellent and the housekeeping also, led by Cosafina. Ron was easy to work with and had good suggestions. Would recommend and return to this property in a heartbeat! Steve

The house is spectacular and as others have said, the pictures do not do this place justice, Letty did an amazing job coordinating everything, the service was impeccable, the margaritas and pina coladas were amazing and the food was excellent—a truly amazing and memorable weekend! A Little Piece of Paradise
This was our second stay at this gorgeous property with amazing views from the hill overlooking Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. The recent renovations, changing an apartment into new suites, are beautiful. Our party of 9 was treated like returning royalty by Letti, Raphael, and the rest of the staff, who provide outstanding food and drink services. The villa is enormous, with beautiful shared spaces and plenty of private areas. The pool and spa tub where kept at the perfect temperature, and we spent a lot of time in them. We love Villa Ventana and highly recommend it!

This is a rare find in PV - the house and location of house was perfect.
I can’t say enough about my experience at Villa Ventana. The house is modern, updated and luxurious. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The house is perched on a hill in Amapas and offers the best views of PV. The staff was one of the best parts of my stay. Letty and staff were professional, friendly and warm. The food was always good! I also loved that the owner and staff was super responsive via email and text. If you are type A, this is THE villa for you.

Puctures do not do Villa Ventana justice: it needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. And the staff are personable, professional, and skilled. We could not have asked for a better venue. Before we left we began planning our return. Top notch.

I couldn't have picked a better place for our large group of 14. The house very comfortable slept everyone, was in immaculate condition and THE VIEW was just amazing. In addition, the staff made us feel very welcome and were super responsive to some of our questions pre-arrival. Highly, highly recommended.

Amazing Experience!
The house was beautiful! Every bedroom had an amazing view! Lette and her staff were incredible!!! They took care of our every need and want. The food was exceptional. Don't hesitate - book ASAP!
We booked Villa Ventana for a 40th birthday celebration and had an amazing stay. The house comfortably sleeps 12 adults and everything you read about the house is true. It is first class quality, has amazing views, a great pool, good location, etc. The design of the house provides privacy and space for 12 people, yet also provides great common areas for socializing. The food was outstanding and Aurora the chef is their secret weapon! Aurora worked around a food allergy flawlessly and made our great stay perfect. The owner Ron is very helpful and is available by email and phone to help with any concerns. I highly recommend Villa Ventana and plan to visit again.

Viva Villa Ventana!!
It's a rare thing for something to live up to your expectations... and even rarer for it to exceed them. Villa Ventana, and more importantly, Ron, Fabian, Lette, and the rest of the staff, make for an incredible, memorable PV vacation. I planned a surprise, getaway vacation for my boyfriend a group of our friends with additional surprises along the way - and Lette and co delivered every step of the way (without ever feeling like they were in the way, might I add). In addition, a member of our group accidentally damaged some property within the home during our stay. Afterwards, Ron and Lette went out of their way to minimize expenses for us, which we are so grateful for. And finally, I must echo what reviewer Jeff said about the property... the photos do not do it justice. I will never forget walking in the door the first time. The place and the views are simply stunning. Do yourself a favor - stay at Villa Ventana - and give Lette a big hug from me!! Can't wait to go back.

PV Perfection!
Really, there is little other to say about Villa Ventana than it is a PERFECT place to stay when visiting Puerto Vallarta. The house is impeccably designed and decorated, the views are breathtaking, the staff is wonderful (and the food they prepared was amazing), and the owner Ron is very friendly and helpful. We never want to stay at a hotel again! Everyone we show our pictures to wants to make PV AND Villa Ventana their next getaway destination!

The Perfect PV Villa
This was our 4th stay at Villa Ventana. This home has the most spectacular open views of all of the bay and city. You have a beautiful view from any room or out door space. As always the food and service is spectacular. The cook is very accommodating and so nice on top of that. The staff disappears and is never in the way but available at a moments notice if you need anything. You will be left wanting nothing at the house. I will tell you the photos do not do the house justice. There is no way to experience without seeing it in person.

Enjoy Paradise
This beautiful property has been our bi annual getaway to paradise since we first discovered it a few years ago. As all other reviewers have identified, the house is spectacular, immaculately kept and supported by the most lovely and considerate staff. Lette and Aurora feel like our extended family now and cannot do enough for their guests. It is indeed a five++ star experience, comfortable and homey dispite the ability to accommodate lots of guests if needed, and has spoiled us from ever considering any other accommodation in Mexico. The location is ideal for those who love or are looking to discover PV including easy access to a wide variety of great local restaurants, a very nice beach, the Malacon, and the wonderful PV citizens. Or as we like to do - decompress by the large infinity pool and be mesmerized by the 180+ degree view of the Bay of Bandaras while whale and bird watching from this prime location. Our only reason to look forward to fall and winter this year is a trip back to Villa Ventena and will continue to do so as long as Ron, the property manager extrodinare, can accommodate us :).

Words and photos cannot do this place justice - it is simply the best. The house is beautiful, the decor is impeccable and our stay was a first-class experience. The layout is second to none with inspired indoor/outdoor flow and huge airy spaces. It has a very grand yet authentic feel. The size has not been exaggerated, the house can sleep 12 in complete luxury.
The staff are exceptional and cater to your every need - so much so you'll never want to leave. Lette, the house manager, is an invaluable asset to the property, nothing is too much trouble and she made sure everything was perfect during our stay. I have never experienced service of the same high calibre.
If you do drag yourself away from the delicious meals prepared by the chef and mind-blowing views across the bay it is minutes from world-class restaurants and bars, yet we found the house very private. It is a luxury oasis in a vibrant town.
The weather was excellent and the town was quiet - no problem getting into the best restaurants, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
There is no question - we will be returning next year!

A Villa With WOW Factor on Overload
We chose this villa in Puerto Vallarta for my 50th birthday celebration, and were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped through the private entry courtyard with a two story water fall into a private garden, we knew we were in for a special treat. There are stunning views from every room in the house (with exception of bathrooms and media room), and the views are amongst the best I have seen anywhere. Everything about this villa is about quality and good taste. It appears that no expense has been spared, from the quality linens, comfortable beds, sound systems, to the tasteful and real art throughout. We were 12 persons for my celebratory week, and the villa probably could have welcomed even more it is so large. One of the things we really enjoyed was the size and privacy afforded in all of the bedrooms, all with balconies overlooking the Ocean and city, perfect for large groups. Last but not least, are the staff. The manager and masseuse, Lettie, made sure that everyone was happy at all times. Not only would she be busy each morning arranging tours, reservations for those in our group that want to go on zip lines, horseback riding, and fishing, she would also meet with me each afternoon to go over the menus for the following day. Nothing was a problem, and each day passed by as seamless and worry free as the last. I have stayed in several villas all over the world, and this one would have to be my favourite. This is the place to stay in Puerto Vallarta.

The description by Villa Ventana owners sounds almost too good to be true, but true it is. My only quibble is that that the Villa and the staff are even better than described. I traveled there with my husband and one of my best friends, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.(And you should know we are quite spoiled by living in San Francisco.)
The Villa itself has achieved spaciousness without a hotel-like feeling. There are airy living rooms and private master suites. Yet one feels like it is your own home. You can tell that every work of art was selected by a caring owner.The rooms open onto terraces with staggering views of the bay. Lette, the warm and meticulous manager, saw to all our needs, arranging the meals we wanted with the cook and even driving us on an excursion. Her generous and welcoming spirit is Villa Ventana's special feature.
We woke to breakfasts of fresh fruit and omelets by the pool. We could choose to have dinner served by the staff, or for them to prepare it and leave so we could eat however late we desired. Lette arranged reservations for a dinner at a beach side restaurant, with tables on the sand, and for a great roof-top tappas place. She is a PV native who knows all the best spots. Sometimes, though, we were so relaxed and content at the Villa we had to push ourselves to walk to the city center. (And I admit to taking a cab back when feeling lazy.) Our stay at Villa Ventana was magical.
I cannot wait to return to Villa Ventana, and I highly recommend it to all my friends and family.

This summer, my wife and I had the most exceptional vacation ever. We have travelled various places around the world (Europe, South Pacific, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean) and found some amazing places. Our week at Villa Ventana this past June trumped them all....!!!
First, the villa is absolutely spectacular.....beautifully appointed, lovely layout, private spaces, and a view to die for. Located on the hillside in the south end of Puerto Vallarta, the view of the city is truly breathtaking...and doing so while relaxing in the infinity pool was like living in a dream!! In the evening, the lights, ocean, and fireworks were gorgeous!!!
The staff at the villa attended to everything from fresh squeezed orange juice and huevos rancheros in the morning to "made to order" guacamole and margaritas poolside in the afternoon. Massages are available daily and are fantastic..!! Meals were prepared to our taste and liking and special occasions are wonderfully attended to (our anniversary). We were treated like royalty at every moment of our vacation. Unforgettable!!
A casual stroll into town was just blocks away, and the "neighborhood" feel was really special......
You could be in the thick of the "city feel" that is so fun in Vallarta, or, remain at the villa and feel like
you were King of the World..!!!
If you ever think of heading south for a VERY SPECIAL vacation, you MUST GO to Villa Ventana...

My stay at Villa Ventana was really fantastic. This villa has the most amazing views of Vallarta and the entire bay. I can't stress how inspiring this setting is. We never wanted to leave the villa. The pool and main floor are perfectly laid out. The kitchen and living area are so spacious and user friendly. All of the bedrooms are so comfortable with tons of room. This was so great for our group.
The Villa staff was incredible. Lette looked after all of our needs. Her cooking was phenomenal and her massages and facial's were the calibre of the finest spa I have ever been to and we never had to leave the villa.
Its a 2 minute taxi into old town Vallarta with incredible restaurants and shopping and night life.
This villa is truly amazing and so worth every penny. Definitely consider this property in Puerto Vallarta.
