All 15 of us ages 5 to 72 (and 3 dogs) had plenty of comfortable room to spread out. We enjoyed making meals in the wonderful kitchen, and the children played in the pool. The beach was a short walk that we went to each day. Thank you for the great memories!

We loved our time at Kure beach. Erin was a gracious host, very attentive and quick to respond. The house was amazing and very accommodating for our family of 7 adults and 4 children. It was clean and stocked with paper supplies. We had plenty of room to gather as a family as well as individual space. We loved the vibe of the decor, a mixture of New Orleans French, and laid back beachy reflected in a collection of antique pieces and decorating. The lower level was perfect for daughters family of four plus two dogs. The other family members used the second floor rooms with 3 bathrooms! One bedroom we didn’t even need.
There was more than enough kitchen supplies and plenty of pantry room. All the appliances worked well.
We didn’t really use the pool much to our surprise. It needed to be skimmed when we arrived and the patio furniture wasn’t clean either. This was not a big deal. We hosed it down ourselves. Again, very accommodating outside shower and hose.
The town is adorable. A hidden gem.
Thank you again to our host for providing a memorable stay.

I have done some traveling and several VRBO stays. This home is by far the best place we have ever been. It feels like a home away from home. Extremely well equipped and perfect for doggo! The furnishings exceed anything I have experienced. Erin is a warm and welcoming host. We have many medical challenges in our family and this place was perfect for everything we needed. The location is honestly better than oceanfront. The block and a half walk to the access is perfect. It was the perfect walk for doggo and us. Sometimes oceanfront is too much in some ways. We always stay oceanfront but I enjoyed this location more than oceanfront. I would suggest you check it out and see if you agree! We are a family that is familiar with Wilmington, Carolina Beach and Kure. As far as we are concerned, these are the best family vacation beaches right now. The southern hospitality of the locals is charming and pleasant. There are plenty of opportunities for whatever floats your boat. We chose a surfing lesson and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The surf and sand encountered at these beaches is beautiful and refreshing for the soul. Can't say enough good things about The Kure and the accessible and most cordial host. Don't delay to book a stay! You will be happy you did!

Lovely spacious home. Tastefully decorated and a beachy feel. Great for a large family. we only had 6 there but it worked. Pool was cold so we didnt use it at all. Very well stocked with everything you need for cooking and comfort. Some of the furniture needs a good cleaning. beds were very comfortable.
Has an elevator that got stuck a few times but able to figure it out. Front door had a lock that was finicky but was able to figure that out too. We informed the owners that the pool turned cloudy for reason unknown. Also reported to them a stained mattress in the Master. Overall a great relaxing stay.

Very clean, comfortable house. We loved the kids area and that they could be loud away from the family space! Short walk to beach and short drive to really good restaurants! Some of the appliances were tricky to figure out and there was a leak in one of the showers that wasn't able to be fixed while there which was challenging with the size of our group, but the Owner was trying to get it fixed but unfortunately wasn't able to while there . Overalll-we had a great week!

Family Reunion
Great house, very clean, owner is easy to work with. We were off the beach for the first time in 20 years and we all agreed the beach was close enough and we really didn't mind it at all. Elevator was great for relatives that needed assistance. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Stay
Beautiful home situated a very close walk to the beach. Our family enjoyed our stay there- even though the weather didn't cooperate. The pool in the back was on the smaller side, but the water was warm and the children had fun! The owner was extremely quick to respond to all our questions and concerns! I would highly recommend a stay at this home for a relaxing vacation!

Great family fun
We stayed in this lovely home and it was wonderful. We had a little trouble with the gas oven but figured it out. I was very cool and comfortable. I should have brought a little couch blanket and my pillow, all minor details. Pool lady (was lovely) comes on Monday. Beach was close and great, not crowed. Had fun with the golf carts, you can rent at Kure Beach but make reservations. We didn’t have to pay to park them at beach, Freddie’s and Jack Mackerels is right down the street and Britts Donuts, In Carolina Beach is a treasure. We bought 13 dozen in a week! Overall a great family vacation.

The photos are too modest
The photos don’t show how well outfitted and comfortable this house is. The view of the ocean is quite nice. And it’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach, 10-minute walk to the little town center. Our family of 5 + 2 was able to spread out and relax. Also, great and responsive service from the owner. Kure Beach itself is a hidden treasure, so is this house!

This house was beautiful, clean, was a short walk from the quiet beach, and had an oasis-like backyard. We loved our time here!

Diamond in the Rough
We had never heard of Kure beach before this year. We booked late and there wasn’t anything close to the beach that could hold all of us when we found this location! The house was beautiful and we loved the area! Very short walk to the beach, house was beautiful, and very clean! The only thing we struggled with a bit was the stove/oven. Very few baking dishes/pans that fit in the oven and had to set to 500 to get it to cook something at 350 and not all the burners on the stove worked. We cook a ton, so that was a little struggle. But the house was perfect otherwise! The kids LOVED the pool and backyard area. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation! Thank you!

Family time
Overall the family had a good time. The younger family members enjoyed the pool and the beach. However, the jets in the Jacuzzi tub in master suite could not be used and the room where two granddaughters stayed had no place to hang clothes. We could not find a frying pan so one was purchased. Only when we were going to use the oven we found frying pans in the oven. When we used the oven set at 350 degrees it burned our Danish kringle from Solvang, CA that was only in for five minutes.

Great Family Beach House
Our family; 8 Adults and 8 Children (Ages 4 mos. to 8 yrs.) spent a week at this beach home, only one; easy walk; block from the beach. Everything was a great experience that we all surely needed after a very long pandemic lock-up! Erin and Steve (home owners) are wonderfully friendly people and promptly attended to all our needs. We hope to return again not so long from now. We highly recommend this property!

A quiet stay at beach
We enjoyed the quite neighborhood the house was in and all the house was nice, I am not use to a gas stove but I was still able to cook. Been cooking for my family for over 50 years so I survived. My husband has health problems so he stayed inside a lot and the TV was a challenge for him. Closet space was small but we made out. All in all we had a nice stay ,

Nice Home, good location off the beach but not far
A very nice home, but lacking some maintenance. The pool heater was out, one shower barely worked, and the rear porch door screens had to be taped to keep the mosquitoes out. Nice cocktail pool surrounded by very nice floral gardens. All in all a good stay, and as a bounus allowed our dog. Well furnished kitchen, and great communication with the owner.

Attentive Owner
The owner was VERY attentive, especially with the Cat 1 hurricane that came through during our stay. Everything was cleaned up quickly and we had a wonderful stay.

Lovely Home
14 of us from across the East Coast met for a quarantine vacation. The home was spacious enough for us all to be together. Very homey with special touches. The beach was a very short walk, and was clean. The water and waves were perfect!
Thank you to the homeowners for a great vacation!

Not great
There were many issues with this property. I don't want to write a long winded review, as it will be a waste of time. But a few complaints are that the Direct TV didn't work, the floors were not hardwood, but laminate and couldn't get wet, check in code was wrong, and we had 2 days worth of electrical issues.
The location is great. It has two nice grills.
I could go on, but I will just leave it at 2 stars and move forward.

We all had a great week at Kure Beach. We loved being able to walk to the beach.
Our family enjoyed the House because it had lots of lovely space for our group. The youngest cousins enjoyed staying in the bunk room together and the adults were comfortable in their rooms. The teens liked the lower level group room. The living and kitchen area was great with the large TV and view of the water from the balcony. All in all everyone said they had a great week.

Everything was perfect
Nineteen of us shared your beautiful home. Plenty of space for kids and adults alike. The pool/patio area was perfect. Everything was spotless. Boogie boards and bikes were put to good use. Owners responded immediately to concerns. Thanks again for all your help with this special trip.

AMAZING week!!!
Home was SO beautiful and spacious for our family crew of 15. We loved having access to the beach gear and the pool/patio area in back was SO awesome for the 4 littles. The short block walk to beach was perfect. Kure Beach is SO family-oriented, we loved that it wasn't a "resort town" and one couple said the surfing waves are better than any they've experienced on coast. Fun in the sun for sure!!!
