The photos were very accurate and the homes appointments were very nice. Spectacular view from the picture window of the lake and any moored ships. Easy access to the beach which was walked daily by our group. Location was excellent and afforded quick arrival to many restaurants and most importantly, to the canal leading to the harbor. This afforded us many opportunities to view the many ships coming into harbor. I grew up in Duluth and this allowed me to share with my children the many things I admire about the area. Overall it was an excellent visit and the home provided a very cozy and comfortable retreat at the end of the day. William was a first-class host and responded quickly to all our queries. i highly recommend this property and will definitely rebook if in the area again.

Our trip to Park Point was wonderful. The home had everything we needed (including jigsaw puzzles, which were helpful as unfortunately we had a lot of rain). The kitchen was well stocked, there were a couple of Beach chairs and toys for the beach, the decor was lovely with huge windows looking out over Lake Superior. The host was very easy to communicate with. We loved it and would stay again!

The rental view were wonderful we had many ships and sailboats to watch. There is an access point for the beach next to the property so on weekends you have some foot traffic. The kitchen was well stocked for me to cook meals for my family. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We travel to Duluth at least once a year and have always stayed in a hotel. Decided to rent this house and it was great. Room to move around, on the beach, great views and comfortable beds. Close to Canal Park. Can't go wrong with the beach access, even in March!

Our 2 adult boys (men), one wife and one baby spent a long weekend in Duluth with us. The house was perfect for the six of us. Places to be together and places to go for some space. It was perfect. Would love to enjoy the outdoor spaces in the summer!

We had a wonderful stay. We would stay again. Great location. The house was clean, easy to check in. Enjoyed the quick access to the beach. We had a wonderful time!

We had a great time staying at this property. The location is beautiful and within close proximity to downtown Duluth. The place had everything you need, especially in the kitchen. My only criticisms are that the rules are very extensive and there is a spot within the house to leave a tip for the housekeeper, after we paid a cleaning fee which felt excessive. Overall, it was a great time!

This was our third time staying at the property, and we’ve enjoyed every stay. There were several updates, including the kitchen which made the place look even better than it was. The owner has been very responsive, including bringing us a new remote when we couldn’t find one!

Wonderful time. Lots to do.

The home met all our needs. Great view of Lake Superior, and a short walk down to the beach. Very handy location for accessing all of Duluth's attractions - the train ride, the harbor cruise, Glensheen mansion tours, walking along the pier and the Canal Park district, visiting the aquarium and the Maritime Museum and the ore ship, climbing the tower, driving to Gooseberry Falls - we were able to pack all this into three days, and all are highly recommended activities! Watching the lift bridge in operation is always a treat!

We stayed here over an extended weekend to celebrate our daughter’s wedding. The house and location were great. My only regret is not getting more time to enjoy the beach. The sunrise in the morning is amazing. We would stay here again.

We found the house to be well equipped with good towels, linens and starter tp, paper towels and garbage bags. We cooked most of our meals and were happy with the way the kitchen had all of the necessary pots, pans and glassware. The house is close to everything we needed but still is very private because of the trees and landscape. We enjoyed watching the cargo ships enter and depart from the harbor. The walk to the beach is very do-able and we enjoyed some nice days playing in the water. We were fortunate to have warm June weather. Would definitely stay again.

Location was superb. Snow covered sand dunes between the cabin and Lake Superior Beach were beautiful. Great location to all the amenities Duluth has to offer. Cabin, has large windows looking east towards Lake Superior were wonderful. Cabin layout worked well for my family . Two things that could of been better. We seem to mis-communicate on the checking procedure which could of been my fault and controlling the temperature of the loft bedroom. Very warm up there.. However a great stay for us and we certainly come back

Stairs are real tight to go upstairs, don't recommend for kids or elderly.

Great location but a bit run down and outdated. The beds are super comfy.
Check in is super easy. Needs a renovation or remodel for the price.

I question my willingness to EVER book another VRBO listing. This place looked as though someone made it fresh and beautiful about 10 years ago. In the meantime, the house has deteriorated.
How often, if ever, does VRBO recheck a listing once it has been accepted?.
The view from the house is beautiful which caused us to select it. . After winding our way up the spiral stair we saw a sign saying something like: SORRY the Toilet Does NOT Work. Keep this in mind. 10 people gathered for a family reunion for Thanksgiving—and the second toilet does not work. ( Can one imagine wending one's way in the middle of the night down a narrow spiral stair to use the john? NOT to mention the spiral stair itself. It is located between the bed and the toilet. In the night in an unfamiliar house, one could envision an accident. Why is there not a gate of some sort?)
Poor Managment.
The owner or manager or whomever took the time to place the sign there BUT DID NOT GET A PLUMBER ahead of the arrival of a houseful of 10. Not until we had a lengthy and somewhat heated discussion, a plumber was finally called and finally did arrive to fix the toilet.
Kitchen and Dining area
The dining table at best could seat 6 . There were no leaves to extend to accommodate our family AND anyway, too few chairs for 10! Too few glasses for 10. Too few wine glasses for 10 and the few on hand of different shapes and sizes. No rocks glasses at all.
No fruit bowl. No serving platter.. No sharp knives. No salt. No pepper. The ancient spices and herbs remaining looked dusty, dry and years away from use.
Bathroom
The drain in the bathtub does not close and I was uncomfortable having a bath as the rubber drain cover was smarmy.
There was insufficient hot water for 10 people. The water ran cold before I could even get the soap out of my hair! Never mind trying to shower and run the dishwasher at the same time.
Few staples or amenities: NO soap, no shampoo, and hardly any toilet paper. No full length mirror.
Dirty premises.
If it was cleaned before we arrived, much was left undone—from a full lint filter in the dryer to really dirty floors.

Pluses:
•Layout in downstairs perfect for a group of 6. Views spectacular, both from inside and out on the patio. Beach perfect and path to the beach also perfect. Perfect setting.
•Owner immediately fixed plumbing issue of broken showerhead.
•Rooms large, not cluttered except for too many of the usual knickknacks always found in rentals.
• Kitchen well outfitted, could make a fancy cake, has a food processor/blender. Good towel availability. Good storage space/closets.
Cons
•Upstairs heating set to 50 degrees, too low for late fall; called owner but thermostat was never reset.
•Narrow metal spiral stairway to Loft level precarious for adult footing. Best to climb/descend stairs barefoot to avoid slipping.
• Loft has slanted ceiling, impossible for someone 6’ or taller to stand upright – all right for someone 5/4” of smaller.
• Careful cleanup required in addition to insurance paid for damage ($59).

We stayed for three nights in late August and had a lovely (hot!) beach vacation on Park Point. The location, proximity to the lake and beach, the views from the living space and deck, and the off street parking were all very much appreciated. The in house amenities and basics provided were sufficient, though a couple additions (coffee, sugar, creamer, basic set of cooking spices, though we always bring our own just in case) would make it feel more welcoming.
The spaces for sleeping are sufficient and nothing more. The beds were sufficient, though not very comfortable, but that's very personalized. The loft bedroom was great for three teens to have their own space and half bath; the tight spiral stairs definitely limit who can use that space. The bathrooms were of a good quantity, but dated and tight. And the kitchen has what you need, but is dated, dinged, and is showing its decades of wear and tear. As others have said, with hotter days happening more often, the two small AC units struggle and ultimately don't keep up, especially in the loft and bedrooms. Thankfully nights were cool and we were able to stay comfortable by opening windows and using the ample tower fans to circulate the air.
All around, the interior is 3-star and needs some investment to make the interesting and beautiful open architecture shine. What saves the place is the architecture, location and views and they're such that we'd return.
The contract you have to sign is imposing; I've stayed at dozens of properties and this was a first. But the owner had great communication and was flexible with our group size being in flux up until our stay.

Loved the house and the location. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, everything we needed to enjoy Duluth. Very close to many restaurants and tourist attractions, but felt secluded and very quiet. We had a wonderful stay.

Convient location on a remarkable lake.

Family vacation on the shores of Lake Superior. Location was great, able to walk to Canal Park etc
LOCATION GREAT!
Kitchen was adequately supplied with dinnerware, silverware and cookware.
Cushions on 2 kitchen chairs, a cushion for each chair would be nice.
There was a nice supply of games and puzzles. We did 2 puzzles on the table in the loft.
Startup supplies - 6 rolls of TP for 9 people. For the price of the rental I......
AC had a hard time keeping up. Kitchen. LR and dining room were cool however the bedrooms were extremely warm even with fans running.
Master Bath shower faucet needs changing.
Flush toilet in main bathroom affects shower water temp. in Master Bathroom
Bathroom faucets have hot and cold reversed.
Cleanliness - had a dice roll under the couch and it hadn't been cleaned under the couch for a very long time. Checking under the bed when packing up found a cough drop......
I had to supply names of two DAY GUESTS. They weren't able to come but was I going to be charged for going over 10 guests by 1 on a DAY guest?
A week before check-in I had to give my DL #. Shouldn't that have been done at time of reservation? Rental agreement, had it come earlier I might have been scared away. I felt like I was being treated like a twenty something.

Lovely wedding week
We had such an amazing time at this property, the view was spectacular and the house itself was really fun to stay in. Our wedding party had a really nice time enjoying the beach (in all weather!). Thank you for a great stay, we are already talking about coming back again next year.

Great family get away
We booked this house for a family weekend getaway and what a wonderful weekend it was. The property was stunning and the view from inside the house was even more beautiful than anticipated. The house was conveniently located and perfect for what we wanted, family time. The property manager was extremely kind and available for all questions and concerns. I Would recommend this property to anyone visiting Duluth.

Christmas in Duluth
Was so nice be with family. The location was perfect. House is old but was clean. Just minutes from downtown but when we got there the house was 55 degrees! It was 9 pm by the time we could take off our coats and shoes which they specified no shoes on in the house. Also there is someone living in the basement which we didn’t know and beds are hard. We loved the place but rental agency did not make us feel welcomed.

Killer location, comfortable space.
The space was comfortable and clean. A bit small for 10 people but it was cozy and everyone had a spot to sleep. Incredible location- the sandy dune walk to the seaside was beautiful and being so close to the water was perfect for us.

Great property - large house
This property was incredibly clean. We were surprised how large it was - our family of 5 didn't even need to use the loft space as the main floor had all we needed. We highly recommend.

June 2021 stay
No ceiling fans as shown in pictures. Walk up steps bad. Only
could turn a/c down to 72. Despite charging a small fortune in
fees, wanted us to clean floors and kitchen?

Excellent winter retreat before school starts
We spent an extended Presidents’ Day vacation at this property. It was the perfect homebase for xc skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking along the north shore. As a bonus, we walked out from the house on the frozen Lake Superior shore and climbed on the ice.

The bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfy. The view from the living room is very nice. We all agreed that a new couch is needed since we would sink down so low into the couch it was difficult to get out. It was very uncomfortable. The fireplace is the living room is nice, but it's good to know that you are only allowed to burn wax (Duraflame) logs in it. They supply 1 log so we needed to go buy our own.We could have used more medium sized bowls (there were plenty of small bowls and a couple very large, but nothing in the middle. We would have also like glasses (not plastic) large enough to hold a 12 oz drink. Overall a good stay; could've been even better with a few improvements.
