"Captain's Daughter” is a spacious home with the ability to sleep a large group comfortably, a private pool and tropically furnished yard, a prime Old Town location, and a private 43’ boat slip.
Through the sliding glass doors of the living area is the private back yard complete with a large deck and a private pool. There are chaise lounges by the heat-optional pool when it’s time for a swim and some sun. A full outdoor dining set by the pool can comfortably sit 6. Cross the parking lot of this private complex to the docks where you will find your own boat slip.
The perks of this little-known location are many: walking distance to the family friendly Bayview Park and Fausto's a local grocery store. All while still being tucked away in your own quiet neighborhood. This home includes plenty of off-street parking.
The master bedroom is on the second level and has a King-sized bed, a large flat-screen TV, plenty of dresser space, and a private balcony overlooking the water. The master bathroom is en-suite with dual sinks, a large soaking tub, a glass and marble shower. The second bedroom is also on the second living level, and has a Queen sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private balcony. The second bathroom is also en-suite and has a tub/shower. The third level can sleep a total of 6: there is a private bedroom with two twin beds that can convert to a King upon request, and an open room with another 4 twin beds, which can convert to 2 King sized beds upon request. The third level accommodations share one full bathroom with a tub/shower. The fifth bedroom is on the main floor and has a King size bed and is also en-suite with access to the bathroom through the hallway as well. Additional sleeping area is available in the living room, as the sofa pulls out into a Queen bed. There is also a full bath off the living room next to the bedroom on the main floor.

Had plenty of room for all of us-beds comfy, and enjoyed having our boat slip nearby and swimming in the pool. Microwave was a little complicated to start, and is a need for a can-opener in the kitchen.

We were a group a women on a friends trip and had plenty of space. House was very clean. We walked, took the KW Free Shuttle and Ubered to Duval. All are reasonable options. Pool was clean and neighbors were very nice. We used Kelly “ The Concierge Girl” to prestock our fridge before arrival which was very helpful to get our trip started. She was recommended by the management company.

When the listing said property had a dock I assumed it would have a water view. It didn’t. That being said the pool and backyard were very nice. The house was well appointed and very clean. Lots of towels, extra pillows and blankets available. Water pressure and warm water was adequate. Two off street parking spots at the front door and plenty of off street parking always available. Would rent this property again

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Captain’s Daughter. It was just what we wanted for our large group. The pool was nice, the beds were comfortable, it was clean and well maintained. The instructions were easy to understand and communicated extremely well. It was just a little too far from the activities that we wanted to enjoy. Here are our concerns:• Downstairs bedroom door doesn’t slide on the track or close easily. We shut the door, then never touched it again. We entered and exited via the bathroom• Downstairs bathroom needs towel racks for both sink and shower.• Downstairs bathroom could use a shower caddy, or corner shelves to hold essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.• Downstairs bathroom shower head didn’t have enough pressure periodically • Downstairs bedroom clock doesn’t have plugs for phone chargers (those with a USB port).• Kitchen microwave is too complicated. Not clearly marked. Thought it was a 2nd stove/oven at first.• Kitchen refrigerator ice dispenser lever is practically invisible. Difficult to dispense ice and water• Get 2-ply toilet paper!• Palm tree outside has coconuts that are fruiting directly above the chairs by the pool. If anyone is sitting there if they fall, someone could get seriously hurt.• Additional mirrors on the upper floors. The 3rd floor only had 1 mirror in the bathroom.

We had a fantastic time! Location is perfect for getting away from party area, but close enough to walk about a mile or so. The house included everything we needed for our two large families. The pool was nice and warm after we turned up the warmer due to chilly weather. Lots of beds to sleep everyone and plenty of beach towels too!
We even stored our luggage at
Office until our time to leave, which was a nice amenity! Our party was ages from 15-66 and everyone had a blast! Will be back!

Great property and we really enjoyed our stay. Host was accommodating and communicative up until the trip. We had an issue with the AC where it broke a few days into our stay and caused us some problems — made the top two of three floors untenable. Unfortunately we haven’t heard back from them after we complained after the fact asking for some sort of refund. Seems to be a recurring problem for the unit. All in all tho a great property that I would recommend were it not for that issue.

We were in the Navy in the late 60's and stationed in Key West for over two years. We have come back multiple times and each time it seems to get better. The Captain's Daughter was probably the best home we have ever rented. The pool was wonderful, the house exceeded our needs, the staff was exceptional, and we would love to come back again and again.

Overall very solid rental, great spaces. The property could use some additional coffee cups and drink glasses (tall/pint) to cater to the number of guests that it accommodates. Bathrooms could use some towel hooks and additional places to dry towels from showering or the pool. Overall the POC wasn’t very responsive until asked if keys that were lost happened to be found on property after checkout but this was very helpful in ruling out a possible lost location. Kitchen amenities could be improved or increased if preparing a full meal, this rental met minimum requirements but not overly well equipped in this space. Would I stay here again? Yes, based on location and the dock. Does the property management company go above and beyond? Not quite there, you can tell this is managed by a company and not a homeowner trying to impress their guests. Company was asked two times prior to staying if twin beds could be merged as mentioned in the listing and they were not. This wasn’t a huge deal but I would remove these comments from the listing if the rental company isn’t going to accommodate the request.Would stay again, property could improve guest experiences with a few small improvements.

This house was great, comfortable, and accommodating for our family vacation of ages of 6months and up! We had a family get-away for Memorial Weekend. We have adult kids and 2 grand kids. Everyone had space when needed, everyone set comfortable while we ate or played games, spent time by the pool. Close to everything! Always an Uber less than a minute away. Some rented scooters.

The property was great and there really were no issues. The property did email me an extensive amount of times and then would make up pay extra for a late checkout. There was a different door locking code to exit property and if not used on time I was told it wouldn’t work and assume I would be charged extra. The early checkin or late check out offered was an extra 50-100 dollar charge for a property that we spent a lot of money on. Was not pleasant to deal with in a large group. Overall the it was great but definitely bring extra towels or blankets. There was very little extra in the house.

This is the perfect house for a group of friends or family. The house is super clean and well-stocked. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and open family room, dining and kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms are numerous and roomy. It's super fun to hang out on the decks and pool. The walk to town is easy and interesting! Amazing host communicates all you need to know, as well as offers great suggestions for a fun visit.

The rooms were huge, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our large group. Good place for families and friends who want to relax at home and/or be on the boat all day. A few things that could be improved: furniture shows wear-and-tear and lots of stains (small) on the carpets. All-in-all, still a good spot. Not close to downtown (Duvall) definitely would recommend a golf cart.

House looked just like photos, however, it was advertised as heated pool, pump was broken I think they finally got it working for one afternoon, i really was hoping while we cooked thanksgiving the grandchildren would be in pool, they tried said it was to cold so maybe they shouldnt say heated. Several other problems we had to notify them some were fixed, tv in one room didnt work, lamp in one room could only be unplugged to turn off, they replaced tv, not lamp which was ok, oven was dirty and the ice maker did not work and no ice trays so we had to buy ice. Neighbors were smoking and sometimes it was pot and it came into our area and they were very loud. Having said this I would give another try. Thank You.
