Welcome to our charming cottage retreat, a haven for food enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Our renovated cottage features a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, equipped with a double oven, a full spice rack, and both a gas and charcoal grill for all your culinary adventures.
Sleep comfortably in one of our two cozy bedrooms, each with a full-size bed, or in the inviting queen sleep sofa in the living room, enhanced with a plush memory foam topper for added comfort. Please note that while the sleep sofa is great for short stays, it may require a bit of adventure spirit for longer use.
Step outside onto our spacious walk-out deck, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. Overall great trip with my wife and daughter. Nice little cottage along the lake. Place is small, but we knew that going into it when we reserved. Everything worked out great. She even brought in an outdoor gas firepit for us!!

Can’t say enough good things. The cottage is beautifully decorated and had everything for a perfect lake getaway with my family. Right on the water! And the host is awesome, she is so nice and accessible to reach. Tells you all you need to know. Place is a true gem Can’t wait to come back

This is our 3rd year in a row staying at Debbie’s cottage, and it was wonderful. We love having our boat docked for a week of tubing, water skiing, fishing, swimming and fishing. We are already booked for next year!

The host was great and replied quickly for any thing we needed, got in the house and immediately were amazed by the view, went on the canoe in the lake which was absolutely beautiful.
And nothing beats waking up in the morning and having coffee with this view.

Clean and nice cottage on Highland Lake. We had a good time here but it should be noted that space is very limited, there’s no washing/drying machine or dishwasher and wifi was weak (we had trouble with Zoom and streaming).

Awesome week at the cottage!
This was our family’s second year staying at the cottage, and it was another fun week! We bring our own boat, so it was great to have it docked there all week to fish, water ski, go tubing, and going on evening rides around the lake.
We love the cottage, and it has everything we need for our small family.

Perfect get away!
The view from this home is gorgeous as is the whole property!!! Even when you're in the house The water view is complete as the home is very close to the water. I can't think of a single thing that was lacking.

My friend and i spent a few days here at the end of September and we could not have wished for anything more. The home is compact but had everything we could have wanted. It was squeaky clean and decorated so beautifully. The kitchen had all the pots, pans and accessories that we needed. The weather was great for early fall and we used the kayaks everyday. Happiness on Highland Lake

Our stay was just what we needed to wrap up our summer. Debbie was responsive and went above and beyond to provide us with extra kayaks to enjoy the lake as a family. We hope to come back next year to this charming lakeside retreat.

Beautiful little cottage on the lake
My husband and I loved our week at the cottage! It was the first time we rented so close to our own home, and we are so glad we did. It was great to have the dock for our boat. My husband and adult son went fishing each morning and evening. My son caught and released 9 trout!
We swam, kayaked, and went paddleboarding (we brought our own). My favorite part was having my morning coffee on the dock. So peaceful. The lake gets busy in the afternoons, and it was fun to watch all the boating activity.
We hope to stay again next year!

Perfect location and cottage for a family or elderly parents
The cottage was more than perfect for what we needed. I was traveling with my elderly parents that grew up on the lake and finding a place for them to stay was difficult. This worked out perfectly. It is single level with only three steps up to the door. My dad just sat and watched the fall color and the boaters on the lake. The cottage had the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. The location was great and I could not ask for anything more. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Another Excellent Time!
This was our second time staying at this house and it was as easy and comfortable as the last time. We had time to visit with our sister and the place made it a comfortable gathering place. The fireplace provided atmosphere as well as our beautiful surroundings!
This is now our "go to" spot for our annual reunion. It is comfortable has ever convience and the house situated on a perfect lake! It just all round terrific! Thank you Deb and Jim for a great time!!

Great Cottage, but really a full time home.
Highland Lake , in my eyes is the BEST . I was born in Winsted but moved for Fl in 1984. Going back home , and having a place like the Cottage means more to me then most people can understand. Morning exercises on the patio in the sun. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the great view, wild life , boaters, skiers, fisherman and kayakers. My bike even made the trip, I had a few little tests on the hills as well as swimming almost daily. My wife got to ski thanks to a great friend who never left Winsted. Also hours spent with Family and Friends.

Our place on the Lake was adorable
The setting was perfect and the cottage was tastefully decorated , inviting and spotless!
Jimmy had our entrance down to a science, which we appreciated, no glitches and he even invited us to leave a bit past the usual time as no one was expected that day. We thought that bc was so considerate of he and his wife (Debbie?).
We had a wonderful sister's weekend" and couldn't be mor pleased. Planning on making it an annual visit!

I booked this cottage for little retreat for myself. I enjoyed every moment of my quite weekend. The views of the lake from the bedroom, kitchen and living areas are wonderful. Sat on the dock and relaxed. The bed and couch were very comfortable for napping, sleeping and relaxing in. The cottage was very clean and well kept. I think I will be making this an annual retreat for myself. The owners were very friendly.

Your Cottage can't be beat
We had a Great time , at My lake , thanks to Jimmy and Debbi. It was Great being back home. I know you use Our Cottage, you need to add Our Cottage / The Ritz. Wake up , and open up the Blinds and lay back a bit with a Great Water front view, fisherman going by the home slow in small fishing boats and Kayaks . For a 2 bedroom on the lake , City water and walking distance to a Great natural Spring for great drinking water , were we filled Gallons each day, I don't think your Cottage , can be beat. !!!
