The snug hut on wheels with the warmth of a log stove and thick eiderdown. The solitude, nobody bothers you at all. The view of the lake from the bed through the open door. The communal area was beautiful too
Even having to walk up to the central area for showers and proper toilets was fine once you figured it all out.

Lough Mardal Lodge is a quiet and peaceful location off the beaten track. The lodge is beautiful and well maintained. The yurts and the beds were incredibly comfortable and cosy. Would highly recommend this to all nature lovers, and we hope to be coming back here one day.

Peaceful stay
4.7
The lodge and facilities were well thought out and well kept. The cleanliness of the entire property was brilliant.
Lovely views all round
During our stay there was work being completed right Infront of our yurt, the unfortunate this was it started at 8 am and continued all day until 5pm. The noise was getting unbearable, since I work in construction, that noise of heavy machinery was the one thing I didn't want to hear but unfortunately did. Very disappointed as this issue was raised with the lodge but by the time a message was returned they had finished. Therefore I had half a day to relax to peace and quiet before driving back home. No partial refund was given and no heads up on the fact that construction work was being completed during our fully paid for stay.

Idyllic location to get away from it all

Perfect getaway to completely switch off. Really nice facilities especially the communal ecolodge and loved how sustainable the place was. Yurts we're also class! 10/10

It's a bit small with three children

Excellent location in the middle of boglands looking over the lake. Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Big comfortable bed, serene, Big yurt with beautiful surrounding.

This was our best stay ever. Everything was well tought of and so nice! Spacious and comfortabel. A heart warming place with incredibble views. We were all sad to leave.

Loved the concept, the yurt was amazing had all we needed and loads of space within
Only thing I’ll say is the loch didn’t seem very usable. A few canoe’s or paddle boards and a jetty would have been the icing on the cake.

I really loved the hurt experience waking up to the birds singing and the fabulous views you really switch off. the reception area was really spacious and the showers were great.

The lodge and yurts were exceptional. Clean, comfortable and everything was thought of. The main lodge kitchen was fully equipped. Each yurt had its own fridge and cupboard space. Flask, hot water bottles and lamps all supplied. The yurts were stunning with a wood burner and wood all supplied. The surroundings were stunning. A complete get away from everything. We would highly recommend. Just amazing

Brilliant place. The main building has such a relaxing feel and its construction is inspirational. Great to see the old Irish dexter cattle grazing on the land.
Obviously might not suit everybody since there is no toilets in yurts but the toilet and shower facilties in the communal building are great.
