Lovely setting for a small cluster of traditional cape cod cottages. Interior needs some updates but deck is nice, setting is great, they allow dogs, and we enjoyed using the kayaks and dock. Mgmt was very responsive.

The check-in process was so easy and seamless with lock keypad being activated exactly at 4pm. The house itself matched the listing except for one small exception. There is no game room as one of the pictures on the listing seemed to indicate, but there are 5 or 6 houses on the property for rental, so one of the other houses may have a game room. Either way, it wasn't a big deal since we were using the house as our home base and spending most of the day adventuring around the Cape. The waterfront view is beautiful and the kids loved hanging out and relaxing on the dock. The house is on Mid-Cape Highway (Route 6), which is super busy, but you don't really notice the traffic noise because the house is tucked back off the road. You just have to be super careful when pulling out of the driveway. The location does give you easy and quick access to other parts of the Cape. Overall, this was the perfect for our family and we would highly recommend it!

Great spot, perfect for ourselves and our sweet pup

Our cottage was one of several on the same lot. We had plenty of privacy, it would be a great location for a family reunion as many families could have their own house. Our cottage was clean and well-equipped, on the water. It was too cold for us in early May, but the shared dock would be fun for canoeing and kayaking in the warmer months. Definitely a spot to return to.

A friend and I enjoyed this cottage. Clean, convenient, and comfortable.

Really nice to be able to bring our beloved dog with us. Photos on website did not include the shower. I didn’t think anything about it. After arrival I understand why..not your typical shower design!
Also found cobwebs in guest bedroom.

We love staying at Anchorage on the Cove. This past weekend we stayed at the Pilot House. We loved it so much we booked a stay for a week at the end of the month. The home is clean and well kept, the deck is wonderful with a magnificent view of the salt pond. The management was incredibly accomodating and responsive. Our cockapoo loved it there as well.

We stayed here for a weekend. The house is small, yet comfortable. Easy to find, spotless, and in a good central location. We visited p-town and Chatham easily from this location. The cluster of homes all have nice views and access to the water for kayaks which were available for free with the stay. We really enjoyed staying here and plan on returning!

Great cottage and great location
Everything wonderful with 2 exceptions. Difficult to find. They need to put the street address on the street and visible from bott directions. Second sovej was gas which we have no experience with. Written instructions would have been helpful. Management company very responsive however.

Relaxing Dog-Friendly Waterfront Cottage
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic visit and were even happier to include her fur baby on the trip. The location is amazing, everything was seamless, and my questions were answered quickly over the phone by professional staff. I also had the pleasure of meeting the property owner and definitely plan to rent here again.

Excellent Stay on Cape Cod
We stayed in a nice cottage on a very pretty inlet in Eastham, Cape Cod, MA. The property was clean and fun -- it has a wonderful deck overlooking the water. The only drawback is that the driveway is located right on Route 6 -- the busiest highway on the Cape; this makes exiting and entering the property a bit difficult. Otherwise, this is an excellent place to stay. We had a wonderful vacation.

Great value for being on the water with a dog.
If you’re looking for an affordable place right on the water and have a dog, this is a great option. It’s a little compound and everybody has a dog. There is a dock and kayaks you can use. The place is smallish but not tiny. It’s a bit dark and the kitchen is small and sparsely stocked. There is a nice deck facing the water. For some reason the architect oriented the cottage so the main view of the water is from the eating area in the kitchen, not the living room. The place was very clean. Nice outdoor shower. The bed was comfortable. The wind broke the umbrella on the deck and that was no problem.

Great value, superb location
Perfect for our family of four. Used the boats daily. Spent most of our time on the deck.

wonderful land and pond
lovely view of the water and since the water was cold the cottage was cool at night even with the warm temps during the day. Could have been cleaner. Looks like no one has stayed there for several months. we had no contact with property manager due to Covid

Adorable cottage
Perfect for a getaway weekend! Close to everything. And when you “just stay in”, the view is lovely.

Relaxing spot, great value
This is a relaxing cozy cottage with everything you need. The deck is the best for spreading out, basking in the sun, or enjoying the view of the cove. The cove is full of vegetation so not good for swimming, but you are close to the National Park Seashores, which are free if you have a National Park pass. Close to a large supermarket and great restaurants. Neighborhood is not walkable, we had to drive to exercise the dog.
Pros: sun and shade on deck, expansive views, canoes, kayaks, dock, dog run, outdoor shower, close to National Park Seashores
Cons: not a walkable neighborhood, traffic getting in and out of the compound was nerve wracking, any time of day, game room advertised but didn't exist

Summer on Cove 2019
The location of our property was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. A place for renewal and pondering. We were able to remain on the location and look out on the tranquil cove or head out to see the whales, take a hike or visit the museums. Kayaking, canoeing and boating were available as well. All around wonderful experience. Thanks to all.

Nice break
The house was just the right size for our family (1 child, 2 adults and a dog). We enjoyed being able to bring our dog, it was nice because the deck had a gate so our dog could wander freely on the deck and lounge in the sun. The kitchen had the necessities. The view was great and the boats were fun to take out in the water. My daughter and husband liked fishing off the dock. One thing that was difficult was getting out onto the road, the traffic was difficult sometimes. We ended up turning right and then turning around a lot.

Adorable Cape Cod Cottage on Town Cove in Eastham
Rarely does a location "live" up to the photos / descriptions seen on line, but The Pilot House truly was as advertised !
Beautiful views, lots of waterfowl to entertain us from the gated deck, pet friendly and immaculate ! Great customer service too .
Perfect for our needs , close to The National Seashore and all lower cape attractions. We plan to return in the Fall .

Cute and Relaxing!
We loved our little cottage!! Perfect for us, our daughter and our two dogs! Quiet property, beautiful views, and clean house! We had a lovely time, the location is perfect- in the middle of the cape and close to everything. Loved being on the water, using the little row boats provided and sitting out on the deck all day every day. It was the perfect house for our vacation and would love to stay here again!

Lovely setting on the water and dog friendly
We rented this sweet little cottage in Eastham for two reasons: it is dog friendly and it is on a beautiful bay, with water views. The property is lovely, with lots of grassy areas to walk the dogs and even a fenced in dog run. Usually we spend a week in Provincetown, but we wanted to try a new area of the Cape. The reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 are: 1) the property is right on Route 6, which is a very busy road. 2) You have to get in the car to do anything (with the exception of the complimentary kayaks and canoe), so long walks, beach, shopping, bike riding, all require the car. We enjoyed our stay in Eastham and did explore this part of the Cape, but spent our last day in P-town and realized why we love that end of the Cape so much.

Great Location
We had a wonderful stay as the cottage is cozy and the views are amazing! We loved pleasant bay and the ease of getting to beaches, stores, and restaurants. I would actually give this VBRO a 4.5. The only recommendation I have for this little cottage is a new kitchen floor. The cottage is quite rustic but nice enough. Our first night we realized one tiny, little crumb brings ants ... so we adjusted, bleached, and made sure never to leave crumbs and we never saw another ant. Del Mar is very responsive and helpful. We loved having our dog with us and oh, the best part of this little cottage is the deck. Awesome deck!

Cozy Cottage with plenty of room. Awesome deck with beautiful ocean inlet views & a great yard for the kids (& doggie) to play! Short drive to beaches / walking trails & many fantastic Cape Cod villages! Fun having canoes & Kayaks right there. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! Mike & Jen C :)

The location of the cottage is amazing. Loved the fact that it was dog friendly. It was very small but perfect for my family of 4.
