It’s like what I read in other reviews - no blinds on the windows & outside bathroom. But there was so much to like - big cozy fireplace, comfy bed, great kitchen, bush setting, birds & wildlife in the garden & walking distance to Bastion Point. Loved it!!

We stayed for 5 nights, great location, easy to get around and find all the spots for the birds. House was perfect for birdwatching and resting after a long day of exploring the wilderness areas. Will definitely be back.

Main dwelling is marvelous.

Had a lovely relaxing time here in a property that felt like our own holiday house. I want to return again. I wish I owned it. Just one suggestion. A few windows with fly screens would help in days when they were an issue.

The house is quirky The outside bathroom is manageable as it’s all under cover There are no curtains on any of the down stairs rooms (kitchen, dining and lounge) and although the street is a quiet street I didn’t like the fact that anyone walking past the front or back at night could see straight thru the house Otherwise it has everything we needed to cook and the beds we’re comfortable

Property was good and a bit quirky. Outside toilet was ok as was December but not sure if I would like it in winter.

The property is quirkey and has some very good aspects , some not so good. Good ones include the kitchen, Partricularly the stove which is outstanding for theose who like to cook, dishwasher, the location and quiet neighbourhood. Two bedrooms limit the ages of people who would find it attractive, e.g. you could not have a teenage son and daughter. Also the outside loo/bathroom with bedrooms up stairs makes for a mad dash down the stairs, through the kitchen to the door (hopefully not locked) and outside to the loo in the middle of the night. Not good for elderlies with weak bladders. The selection of books was outstanding and the log fire made for cuddling on the lounge on cold rainy nights. The salvaged pine of the stair ballistrade was interesting but could give splinters. The master bed was extremely comfortable. Would recomend for T.I.N.K. couples who want to be romantic and cook in

This is our second stay in the same property - Still looks the same as it was in 2015. Couches have been updated and addition of an old Piano which was utilized. The place is as clean as it can be, given all the trees/shrubs and windows in the Cathedral Ceiling always open, a bit of Dust & Creepy Crawly's are always present - nothing to be scared of. I think the additions of a couple of flyscreens could be good. Also, given the area only has reception with Telstra, it would be great to see Wi-Fi included with the property stay. We did notice the Caravan Parks now all have Wi-Fi and most properties now including it. With a family, it becomes handy. Apart from that Property is great and has a Kitchen and full amenities to cover any needs. Thanks Again for having us.

Very comfortable and cosy house in wonderful Mallacoota
The house has high ceilings and generally a very pleasant ambience. The wood burning stove was great, kept the whole house warm.

Overall opinion
Could have been a fair bit cleaner. Not suitable for older adults with knee and bladder problems! A fair bit of the house is unfinished eg. staircase, (unsafe in present condition - as the hand rail finished before the end of stairs, 2 loops of cable exposed and wedged at the point where the stair well meets the upper floor ), surrounds of the internal windows unfinished, no blinds or window coverings (like living in a goldfish bowl). No outside lighting on verandah except by the bathroom. Having an outside bathroom a bit archaic. First time we used the dishwasher it blew the breaker. Otherwise in a good position for the beaches and town.

Lovely location
Very nice place to stay. The separate bathroom and toilet was fine; we hope the neighbours didn't mind our nude dashes into the house!!

A lovely little house, well designed, wonderful kitchen & lounge area. However, although at my age (Older Australian) I did not have problem with the upstairs bedroom, or the outside toilet & shower, I would think it may be a huge problem for very much older people.?Overall, I loved staying at this property & would return again if it remains as a rental.I did have extremely bad luck with the weather. It rained almost every day.

Mallacoota house
There was a lovely, homely and well-considered atmosphere about the home that made it very inviting and comfortable. Lovely creative touches made it very welcoming. Beautifully situated near the beach and close to nature. Very good.

Adequate but needs work
The house isn`t finished. There`s no fly screens on the windows or doors and the pedestal fans supplied for the bedrooms don`t work. This left no option but to leave the doors wide open to get fresh air through, letting the place fill with flies and mozzies. Door frames and architraves need completing. It`s a great location but the house shouldn`t be let out until it`s finished. If you pay good money to stay somewhere then you at least expect it to be complete.

Beautiful
I loved this house. It had everything we need. It fit us, had just all the things we need for a holiday. The house is warm and cozy. Convenient to the beach and shops. Mallacoota is such a wonderful hideout.

Great place, wonderful break
We loved this place, perfect location, close to beaches, shopping centre. House was just right for us, two adults one child. Very comfortable living area and well equipped kitchen. The weather was a bit cool, which we didnt mind at all, but the house was very warm without any heating, I think its double glazed. We will return for sure.

Lovely Property
Property was great, fully equipped with all essentials to use, would stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone. Will stay there again. Though a quick clean up before arrival would have been better - to many cobwebs. Also, toilet, bathroom not connected to the house, its outside - wasn't good when the storm came through the night. Apart from that a great property

Magic in Mallacoota
Wake up to the breeze rustling the trees outside the window. Upstairs mezzanine is a bit like being on a wooden ship! Drink coffee on the deck while listening to the birdsong. Walk short distance to idyllic beach. Sleep on comfy beds in airy rooms. Insomnia? Walk out onto the adjoining reserve and count the billion stars. Great kitchen, everything you need. Lovely bathroom on the edge of the deck. Pretty much the perfect beachouse!

Pleasant
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Coota beach house.
It has a lovely living space and deck and the garden attracts great birdlife.
We were quite surprised by the external bathroom as I hadn't noticed that it was outside from reading the description and we found it a bit uncomfortable and cold and particularly awkward with small children.
