About this apartment rental
This is one out of three rentable units under the same roof. This downstairs unit comes with a kitchenette, dining room, large bathroom, bedroom with Mexican rugs, Mexican mirror, desk, chair, queen-sized bed, book case, and two closets. The bedroom opens onto the front porch, where you are likely to be visited by deer, hummingbirds, jackrabbits, cottontails and a variety of birds.
The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, and two-burner electric hot plate. You will have use of the laundry room and hot tub. The dining room has seating for four with mountain views through the picture windows.The property is a ten-minute drive from the Continental Divide Trail and other great walks, but you can hike and bike straight out of the house as well. The house is five minutes from the highway, and ten minutes from downtown Silver City. The property is so serene, people come for meditation retreats. Weddings can be held here as well.

I don’t believe Azaima advertises this as a handicap accessible property, but it looked to me like it would work, so I called and talked to her before we went. Getting through the narrow doors was a bit difficult, but got easier when I got more used to it. if you go be sure and ask about door width because a wheelchair wider than mine would not work. I didn’t have any trouble with the toilet as it is a taller version. The bed is high, but my husband and I managed with a transfer board. I loved loved loved the sitting area with the dining table. No problem, transferring to those chairs and so much nicer sitting there with coffee in the mornings than it would have been in a hotel room. We also enjoyed the porch swing using the transfer board. We saw deer and bunnies every morning, and we loved hearing the peacocks and roosters. If I had one word to describe this property, it would be “charming”. I certainly hope to stay here if we visit Silver city again.

This property is very cute and peaceful. We loved the rocking-chair front porch, the garden view, and great price too.
It was nice to have a large bathroom and kitchen/eating area in a small space.
If there's people in the upstairs unit, you can hear them easily, but the owner told us that up front and it wasn't an issue during our stay.
Extra points for the (owner's) adorable dogs coming over to have breakfast with us :)

We loved everything about our stay. Our host was wonderful, communicative, helpful, and kind. Her dogs are a treat. The rooms were awesome and inviting. There were deer, beautiful walking paths, luscious trees... oh my goodness the scenery was gorgeous! We were able to relax and felt totally at home.

The directions were thorough so we found the place easily. Once we got there we saw 2 deer on the property. The check in was easy and the 2 dogs were so adorable. The entire time we loved staying on the porch swing and rocking chairs. The hot tub was my personal favorite and easy to use. It was perfectly peaceful so much so that we waited until the very last second for check out. I would most definitely recommend.

For us, the porch and the back sun room were perfect for taking in the views. Both were so relaxing at different times of the day.
There was a nature trail and lots of birds to enjoy along the walk.
The dogs were an added bonus and the host was most gracious. Loved the personal touches, the amenities in the kitchen and the overall feel of the place.
We will be returning!

Very accessible and convivial hostess, with very friendly dogs. Baleful Blue (my nickname for Blue) will steal your heart. And your shoes, if given the chance.
When and if we make it back to Sliver City this place will be on the top of our list.

Spent 2 nights after several days of hiking. The laundry facilities and hot tub were greatly appreciated! We stayed in the Hummingbird Suite downstairs. It was well-kept, well appointed and very homey. Peaceful setting.

This property and all the effort our host went through to make everything was amazingly. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, beautiful are just a few words to describe our stay. We were able to observe deer, many different birds and got to play with our host's dogs.
I didn't want to leave but we had to. Be assured we will come back.

This is a charming, serene place; very clean; close to town; our only complaint is that we were only staying one night and wishing we could stay 1 or 2 more just to enjoy and decompress! added plus: 2 very friendly adorable dogs! Azaima was a very gracious host - thank you Azaima! we plan to return!

The aptly named Hummingbird Suite
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my week long stay at the retreat in between my 29 day bicycle ride from Vancouver BC and the start of the Tour Divide Race. Azaima and Cassie were the perfect hosts.

Quiet, comfortable and serene
Azaima’s property is very inviting with lovely native landscaping, interesting objects, and thoughtful touches throughout. She was very welcoming and the apartment was exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Only 5 minutes from downtown, it was quiet and felt wonderfully remote. If serenity and peace are what you’re looking for, I highly recommend this property. I plan to return.

Silver City rural retreat
We spent a wonderful night here with trees all around; even glimpsed a mule deer. The accommodations are very spacious and well-appointed. Azaima is a gracious hostess and the pooches are delightful.
