Beautiful country. Property was larger than expected. Food good but small in portion at restaurants. Excursions cast and enjoyable. Minor issues were resolved quickly.

I would have scored higher but the lack of information given - no list of activities or what is available at the resort. We had a terrible time trying to get the included liquor as no one seemed to know where to go to get it. You had to go in person to make a dinner reservation at 9 am in the morning. Then we were told you only get one dinner reservation for the week. I have never been to an all inclusive where you only get one dinner reservation per week. The owner didn’t even know anything about it. The excuse given to her was due to Covid. So packing people into buffets where everyone is up walking around and having sit down restaurants half empty is supposed to be safer for Covid… I think not. Gayle was great to deal with and it is the management at the resort that is the issue. None of the staff knew anything about the resort except for their own job. Most of the staff were all hard working and friendly. Our maid was awesome. She cooked breakfast and cleaned every day. We never saw employees standing around doing nothing - they all worked hard. Management is the problem. They need to give out information or have a book in the room. We went to 3 evening shows. All were dancers. We enjoyed 2 of them, the 3rd we couldn’t follow what they were trying to do or say. They need more variety. They were very pushy trying to sell you “vacation ownership” . More so than other resorts we have stayed at.
We had a very enjoyable week and we’re lucky enough to get one Villa for all of us as I am told quite often groups are split into 2 places. The Villa we had was right above the beach with a lovely private pool. We really enjoyed the outside space with our own private cabana. Inside, It was pretty dated and in dire need of some new furniture. The pillows were terrible. There were some issues but maintenance was prompt in fixing them. The Villa, however, needs major updates for example a new kitchen, we got drips in the bathroom which formed a small puddle on the floor. There were small holes drilled in the ceiling to let the water out. No shower curtains. The railing to get in and out of the pool was broken and repairs had been attempted on it several times by the weld marks. The bed in one of the rooms was broken and had been temporarily repaired. It needs to be replaced. The dresser in our room was wicker painted black with the paint half off and missing a knob. It just was a bit surprising for VIP accommodation.

Was unable to get the property that was requested a year in advance. However with proper communication from owners, was placed in comparable hotel rooms to accommodate all parties. Very nice rooms and helpful staff.

First of all I would like to thank you for all your help and patience. I missed my plane which started everything else on the wrong foot. The resort itself made things even worst. Half my quest arrived before me an they would not let them check in. 5 hours letter they finally let them check in. Every thing with the resort was a battle. Golf carts, liquor, keys, house with order and pool not working, two of my quest money was stolen. one of the golf cart got stolen Couldn't eat at Azul
the positive we had the BBQ Saturday it was great, the weather was good only rain a little. Everyone had a good time after the second day
thanks again

The entire experience was difficult from beginning to end. From aiport arrival - waited almost an hour to leave as we had to wait for others (we were supposed to have a private transfer - at least that was the expectation) We ended up with 2 villas for our party, which was not what we wanted. We made a reservation a year in advance, you would think they could accommodate that request - not.
We were however, very close to each other which was the only positive.
VILLA
Beautiful grounds, pool and area, but the villa is outdated. NO WIFI was very difficult - had to pay for it and had many times it did not work. Beds very hard. Leaking closet and room...One villa had to be switched it was so bad.
Breakfast each morning was the highlight - very beautiful and lovely cook - delicious food!
Pools were beautiful and nice.
RESORT
Staying VIP in a villa, you would expect more. You have to do everything yourself and everything is somewhere different - you have to go one place for golf cart, one place for wifi, one place to pick up beverage package - why couldn't that be arranged prior or have the VIP rep handle it....such a headache. They make the reservations for you - you can't even pick what restaurant and time you want.
Food is not the reason to go....buffets horrible, others are mediocre
HIGHLIGHTS
Villa Breakfast only, Villa BBQ (awesome!)
Beach 2 story beds
Friendly workers
Shuttle service
Photographer - we set up 3 photo shoots that were in different areas - so perfect
Spa - they were extremely accommodating to our party of 12 ladies -and soooo gooood!!! so much so 6 of us went back the next day!
Overall, we made the best of it, but not a huge fan.
I think that if they want to sell, they should put you in the best situations so you want to come back.

Positives:
Villa was private and each couple had their own space. We had 5 couples and each had their own bedroom and bathroom.
We had a cook every morning for breakfast which was awesome and delicious!
The villa is within Lifestyles Resort which is huge so there is a lot to see and do and a lot of different restaurants to try. Felt like it was its own town because the Resort so big.
The beaches were fun. Plenty of beds and chairs. Unfortunately it stormed 3 days while we were there and it churned up the water but still fun.
Negatives:
No guarantee what villa you will get. And ours did not have hot tub which was one thing we were excited about. Our villa was in need of repairs I’m positive we were in the original section of the Resort. The repairs needed did not really hamper our stay but when it rained very hard there were several areas leaking.
There is no washer and dryer. Can have laundry done by staff for a charge but none of us wanted to have others wash our clothes.
Checking in was long and tedious and my group had all been traveling 15 hours to get there and wanted to just go to villa and relax. There was a language Barrier and misunderstanding about fees so I had to call our villa owner but it was quickly straightened out.
Our villa ran out of water one day, no hot water in one of the bathrooms, lights outside and pool not working, air conditioning not working but as soon as we called they were very quick to fix. Great service that way.
There were 10 of us and every day until close to the end they were only giving us enough beer and soda for half the group. Possibly was misunderstanding because the last few days we had plenty.
We were supposed to get a golf cart or 2 because the Resort is so large. We were on a waiting list the entire time. Was so easy to call the front desk and get a bus so it really didn’t matter. We also did a lot of walking once we were able to figure out where things are.
Overall in spite of the issues, we all had a wonderful time! Part of that of course was the 5 couples who all had so much fun together! The staff was all very nice and friendly and accommodating. The food especially in the restaurants where you have to have reservations was awesome! Our villa location was excellent and felt private, even when it rained we still had a great time! We would definitely refer others there for vacation!! We were sad when we had to leave and that is always a true sign of awesomeness!

First of all, the planning of the trip was incredibly easy thanks to the work of Cynthia. She was very responsive and answered my many questions. Also, the follow up after the trip was appreciated.
As for the trip ... it was amazing. It was a dream vacation ... a private villa for our family that had it's own pool but was close enough to the main resort that made it easy to take advantage of the resort offerings and many fabulous restaurants and bars. And the icing on the cake that made us really feel like we were living in luxury was the service by a very sweet woman that included breakfast each morning at the house. I wish we didn't have to leave.
Thank you, Cynthia, for you assistance in an amazing trip for our family.
