Completely remodeled this two story home has 5 bedrooms and one bath upstairs and 1 bedroom and bath on the first floor.
A new wrap-around porch and renovated living space will provide plenty of room for up to 12. All new king beds (4), 1 new queen and a bunk with full and twin will provide comfortable sleep after a fantastic day at the beach and exploring quaint Frankfort and beautiful northwest Michigan.
Just a steps to the beach, carry your cup of morning coffee to enjoy the still air and in the evening, a cold beverage to take in the awesome sunsets.
Central air, laundry, dishwasher and kitchen appliances are ready for you to use. Outdoor grill, patio and enormous wraparound covered porch make it easy to enjoy the summer in comfort. Just a block from the quaint Frankfort downtown offering a movie theater, renowned Stormcloud brew pub and loads of fun shops and great restaurants.

Another wonderful week . House fits our family of 12 just right. Grandkids love the beach and that it’s only a short walk. Going for ice cream every nite tops off their days. Needed more propane and Nicole took care of the problem right away. Great vacation!

Perfect home for large group. Very close to beach and town. The wrap around covered porch was our favorite place to gather and eat, drink coffee, and play games. The updated kitchen and bathrooms are great! This was our 4th time renting this home. We have always enjoyed our stays!

Great house for our family of 12. Located close to beach where we spend most days, all day. Big yard for playing badminton and croquet, kids loved it. Porch was a wonderful gathering space each morning and evening. Great week, will be back next summer!

The owner is excellent and easy to communicate with! Upon entering the home, it is so cozy and feels welcoming. The home is beautiful! The location is within walking distance from downtown and the beach. I would definitely come back here.

This was our second year renting this house. The location is perfect for walking to town and the Frankfort beach. Our favorite part of this home is the huge wrap around porch. We plan on renting again next year.

Amazing vacation

Another amazing week in Frankfort at this property! Great set up for 3 generation trip with 9 guests ages 3 - 68. Central air, spacious dining and kitchen and amazing front porch. Love the welcome gift and very responsive to any issues. Nice to have linens provided and not to have to strip the beds when leaving to catch a flight back to hot north carolina. Easy walk to the beach and relaxing outdoor furniture to watch kids play and friendly people and pets walk by. Will be back!

Great place, great location!

First off, Frankfort is just a gem of a town - and the location of this house cannot be beat! We were just steps from both the beach (which always felt like we had to ourselves) and the cute little downtown. The house had a wonderful porch and great common spaces for the 9 of us to gather comfortably. The kids loved the games and books and we made great use of the outdoor fireplace for Smores. We had a little trouble figuring out a few things upon check in and suggest a welcome book in the future. The upstairs bedroom layout is a touch odd too, but it worked fine. Everyone in our group, ages 2-65 slept great and had a truly wonderful time!

This ideally located (11/2 blocks to the beach and 2 to shops) property was well-stock with all the essentials. The highlight of the home is the spacious front porch wrapped around 3 sides of the house. We spent very little time indoors and there are even light throws for the evenings. These owners have thought of everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this spacious home! Our family consisted of members ranging in ages from seven to 76. The house was large enough for all of us to sleep, relax and eat, and for the kids to play, inside and outside. The side yard provided room for many corn hole games! We spent lots of time on the huge wrap-around porch, eating our meals and visiting. A great perk was that the large garage had a ping table, and the most convenient part was that it was only two blocks from the beach and less than two blocks from Main Street ice cream and shops! Perfect location! Thank you Charles and Mary for sharing your home and for being so accommodating! We definitely plan to return!

My family has been in Frankfort for over 150 years. When my parents sold their house 5 years ago, we started renting. This house was perfect for my large family and made me feel like I was back to my childhood with the location. Charles was fantastic to work with. We will hopefully be renting this place in the future! One thing to just be aware of if you have small children, there is no bathtub, but the shower heads are detachable to help bathe little ones in the shower.

One block from the beach or downtown. Large spacious living room and a big dining room table. The wrap-around porch is incredible. The weather was rainy for a few days but was able to still enjoy being outside. The back patio with the pond was great in the afternoon to relax and listen to the soothing sound of the water. Bedrooms were comfortable with King beds, however, the layout of the bedrooms is weird. Three bedrooms connect and the bunk room has no door. Bathrooms are not large and situated in not convenient spots. The house was not ready when we arrived and were told check-in was not until 6 pm! When booking the house check-in was stated as 4 pm and check out as 11 am. Paying for a day when can't get in until 6 was the reason for a lower score on the check-in process. The cleaning staff was very nice, and we were able to get in around 4:30. Overall, the house was fantastic and I look forward to booking it again on our next visit to Frankfort.

Great 6 bedroom home with large wrap around porch made our family vacation a wonderful event. House has large living space and 8 person inside dining table. Outside dining area on porch great for meals too. Extra lot on the side of the house excellent play area for the kids. Close to the beach and downtown, both within easy walking distance. Can’t go wrong with this rental.

My family rented the home for my niece’s wedding at The Elberta Lifesaving Station prior to Covid-19. The house turned out to be perfect for physical distancing as family members were coming from different areas. The large living room and dining room along with a large wrap around porch provided lots of space to be together without being “on top of each other”. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch along with wonderful people watching. We enjoyed s’mores on the outdoor fire pit and listening to the calming pool complete with frog residents and beautiful Lilly’s blooming. The house is ideally locally both within walking distance of Frankfort Beach and downtown Frankfort. Evening walks included sunsets at the beach and ice cream sundaes at the Cool Spot. The house was very clean. The kitchen well stocked. Charles always responded quickly to my email questions. I would highly recommend staying at 205 Forest Ave.

Charles the owner was first class, very prompt and helpful. The home was clean and updated. The best part was having breakfast and dinners on the porch. We had plenty of room for our family of 14 - we played many lawn games and had enough room to fit us all. I block from the beach and 1 block from Main Street helps make this rental a gem.

Amazing front porch

This house was the perfect location and set up for 2 families + Nana! We slept great in the comfy beds and there was plenty of space for the pack n play in the downstairs suite. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, Stormclouds brewery, and ice cream and waving hello to passerbys from the wrap around porch where we spent most of our time and ate most of our meals. The owners were responsive to questions and welcomed us with local goodies and a clean house. We will be back!

We had a great stay in this family home. The porch was the best feature for us. Lots of seating available for everyone to visit and play games. Plenty of bedrooms a great coy pond and grill available. The kids enjoyed searching for the frog in the pond. Our short walking distance to the beach and town made it super simple for our vacay. The only suggestions I have is get another outdoor trash can. Ten people can create a lot of trash. And I wish the manager/owner would have given us the courtesy of asking us if he wanted to rent the place next year before accepting someone else’s reservation for the same week the following year. We would have appreciated that. We give it a thumbs up.

This was a perfect property for our ski trip with 6 kid cousins. Excellent layout of bedrooms upstairs and a great dining room table for meals and games. Would highly recommend.

Other than a slight glitch gaining access to the property that was promptly resolved by the property owner and HomeAway we had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving at the home. Kitchen was well supplied, ample bedding and towels and great location to town, beach, and stores. Did not seem crowded with a full group of eleven people. Would return next year.

We had a great time staying in this beautiful house. This is an old house that was remodeled to fit a large group and maintains the charms of an older house with perks for modern life such as multiple USB chargers in every room. Charles and Mary were very responsive to our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our trip. The location is ideal just 2 minute walk to the beach and similar distance to downtown. Frankfort is also convenient distance to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and Platte River.

My family and I absolutely loved staying here. It’s in a perfect location for a short walk to either Main Street or the beach. The house was beautifully renovated and spacious for a large family. The outside patio was perfect for morning coffee and evening socializing. We look forward to staying here again during our next trip to Frankfort.
