A spacious house right out of the business of town but close to activities. Great shared common space but also separate private areas for groups to retreat to if needed.
Great to sit out on the back porch with the view of the trees, the mountain, and the river

This property was perfect for having my family come up and be with us. Plenty of room for all of us, beautiful view of the mountains, Close to the little town to explore and overall a great experience. Hosts were great and responsive when communicating.

This house is really nice.
Cozy and comfortable.
There were deer, including a young fawn going through the yard each day.
Very convenient location to town.
The house stayed comfortably cool even with the hot temperatures outside.
We enjoyed our stay!!

We rented this property for a family wedding. It was a great property that was well stocked for a wedding and Brian was great to work with and very accommodating.

Great location in the heart of town and still gives you a secluded feel. Had coffee with deer almost every morning on the back porch. Hosts were attentive and accommodating. What's not to like?

Very nice location with beautiful view. Home layout was great. Could have lg group gatherings for visit but could also allow others places to go to get away from the grp. Lots of extras available ie. dishes, games, blankets. Felt like home.

My family had a great Christmas holiday at this beautiful spot. Even with snowy, cold conditions we were warm and cozy - with a beautiful view outside. The house is nicely appointed and has everything you could need/want to make your stay comfortable. Brian is a fantastic host - went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. We will put this on our list of places to visit again. Thanks, Brian for your wonderful hospitality!

Perfect place for two couples and my elderly mother to stay to attend my niec8wedding at the nearby Maple Leaf events center. Brian and Cheryl were very accommodating.

Our experience here was wonderful. The property was as listed...the outdoor space was beautiful and had multiple decks with chairs. Although we did not use it, the outdoor grill area with seating was great. The property manager was also accommodating and helpful.

One suggestion would be to add another AC for the small bedroom.

Great choice!
We stayed at this house as we were in Stevenson for our daughter's wedding. I don't think the photos do it justice--the house is beautiful, bright and very comfortable, and the view is stunning (we even saw three deer in the yard one morning!). About two weeks before our arrival I messaged Brian to ask if we could host a casual dinner at the house to save the whole wedding party from needing to figure out their own food, and he was very accommodating. For a reasonable fee he set up tables & chairs and talked to neighbors about parking. It was more than we expected, and very appreciated.

Perfect for our needs
Coming from various places out of state for my son's wedding, we needed not only a place for all of us to stay, but also a place to host a rehearsal dinner. This home fit the bill perfectly! It is very hard to find a property that allows small group gatherings so I was so thankful to find this property. We enjoyed the roomy kitchen, the multiple gathering areas both inside and out, and the extra tables and chairs that are on site. One thing to note: if you plan to do any grilling, the property has a large outdoor griddle (gas) great for breakfast, but it is not a typical grill for BBQ. Other than that, the proximity of the property to downtown Stevenson is a plus! So easy to go grab something at the market or take a walk to browse some cute shops.
Thank you Brian for sharing your home with us. We'd love to stay again next time we are in the area!

Wonderful property with gorgeous views.
We stayed for three nights for my daughter's wedding and my sister, her husband, their two young daughters, and my husband and I were able to spread out. Our stay couldn't have been better!

We stayed on the property to attend my sons wedding at Cascade locks. The home was beautiful, clean
Renting the property was very easy. VRBO website is easy to navigate and maneuver. The only criticism I think I would have is if they would be specific about timelines as to when you were going to get your information regarding address, getting in the house,. It all worked out just fine but just wasn’t sure when we were going to be able to get that information

Delightful Stay with Friends
A group of 10 of us stayed here while attending a wedding at Skamania Lodge. This home was an absolute delight! Spacious, clean, and with a gorgeous view of the river from the back porch.
The host was very responsive and when we needed assistance, he fixed it within a few hours. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Family get away
Great property with plenty of room for our family of eight. The fenced yard was a plus for our dog and plenty of room for the spike ball game we brought. Close proximity to the river for a picnic and dog-friendly Walking Man Brewery

Convenient Location, Big House and Yard
The house is comfortable, with a large kitchen. Fenced yard good for our dog. Plenty of parking. Large property provides privacy. Short walk to elementary school and large grassy area for dog runs. Short drive to town. Good lunch at Big River Grill. Convenient location for drive to Multnomah Falls. My only concern was the neighbor's property (seen from kitchen window) strewn with trash.

Family Vacation
Great spot. Walkable and great layout. We rented for a family fishing trip. Everyone (5 adults & 1 toddler) had their own room & bathroom. My 3.5 year old loved running around in the yard and finding swords (sticks). We will stay here again.

Lovely spot for a family
We stayed at the house for a week for a combination vacation/work "from home" trip and it was perfect. Lovely, spacious house with plenty of room for a kid to be noisy in one area while an adult worked from the small third bedroom (which conveniently has a desk), and the acre that the house sits on is great, with grass and trees where we could let our young child run around minimally supervised. Just around the corner is an elementary school with playground we enjoyed as well. Finally, the location was amazing, with an easy walk that even our child could do down into town and the riverfront, and a short drive to the dam, all sorts of hikes, Bridge of the Gods, etc. Note that my four-star rating on accuracy of listing is because it looks better in person than in the listing photos -- (Owners, you should get professional photos done!)

Excellent Location
We enjoyed our month long staycation in Stevenson. It was just what the doctor ordered, walking distance to downtown, a great view of the Columbia River, amazing view of the Gorge all while being under several Redwood trees. We loved the area and will be returning again.

Wonderful location
Lovely home with lots of windows and room for a family to spread out. Enjoyed the views. Walking distance to to restaurants, shops, and the river. Lots of great hikes under one hour away. Only complaint is the otherwise wonderful kitchen was lacking a hot water pot for tea (so boiled water in a sauce pan), there were no large serving or mixing spoons. and there were no basket filters for the coffee maker. (There were cone filters so I improvised.)
I am wondering when I can go back for a girls trip - such a great space and location..

Great stay in the Gorge!
Brian is a great host! We chose this property because of its location and it did not disappoint! Walking distance to downtown Stevenson, and a quick drive to White Salmon and Hood River. Spacious and we’ll appointed. Brian even had the property decorated with Christmas lights for our holiday stay. He was very gracious and accommodating. I totally recommend staying here!

Great location
Great location, easy to walk to main areas of Stevenson and easy to drive to areas farther out. Brian was very helpful and dropped off extra umbrellas for us since it was raining! The third bedroom is a loft above the second living area, so no door but otherwise great. There is also a covered parking area which was great for staying dry :). Definitely recommend checking this place out!! The waterfront walk just a couple blocks away is awesome!!
