Beautiful lodges, garden is well kept. Place is clean, has 3 swimming pools and lots of little areas around the property that you can relax and hide away for privacy. The restaurant has great food, and good selection of cocktails.
The lodge is in much better condition and very beautiful than the pix on the internet.
There are a few boutique hotels within walking distance and diving shops that you can wonder around if you are bored. We like the place as it is quiet and it’s away from dozens and dozens of resorts. So it is not hectic and not crowded.
Expect to pay tourist price for food and drinks. Not the cheapest around the area but place is more exclusive than other resorts. After staying in 5 different hotels across Tanzania, this is the only place that charged us for water when dining.
The only reason why I rate service slightly below excellent is because we have experienced warm Tanzanian hospitality on other places we stayed over the last 2 weeks. This place is run very professionally but slightly lack of warmth that we expected to get.

The waiting staff and reception staff were all incredible. Couldn't do enough for you and nothing was a problem. They were very friendly and hospitable.
Our biggest issue with this hotel were the noises from the early hours. Being in a village the call to prayer was 4.30am and every 30 minutes. Running alongside the bungalows is a working road, with cars, trucks and workmen coming in from early hours shouting, engines running etc. Being in nature was lovely, but the animal noises were incredibly loud too, from late night to early morning. We didn't have a good sleep for our whole stay and couldn't wait to get back home for some rest! You were unable to swim in the sea due to the sea urchins. I would now go north and west for swimmable beaches. The harassment on the beaches by the locals selling trips was also a lot to take. Going on the beach is not a relaxing experience. If you wanting that, I'd look for a hotel with a private beach. All in all, I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend.

Was an incredible experience. We had a wonderful time in Sevi and we will definitely recommend to anyone that want a nice, small and relaxing place to stay in Zanzibar to take in consideration Sevi.
Profesional and friendly staff. Everything was incredible, food, location, menu and the prices in the restaurant are fair.
We had a 10 of 10 experience!
Thanks to all the team! Iliria, Fabian, Teddy, Grace..everyone!

Everything
The road to hotel, very bad condition

The rooms were spacious
- Too many flies while eating. Nothing is done to remove them
- Window shutters have gaps which allow many mosquitoes and other insects to come in the room
- Saw rats in the resort
- Food and drinks are not the best and not worth the high price

Every staff member were exceptional in their customer care and kindness. We felt they delivered excellent service in everything they did with great professionalism and yet, friendly too. We could not have asked for anything better to make our honeymoon a memorable one.
The hotel itself is beautiful and feels secluded with enough privacy around. The manager came to introduce themselves and made sure along with all the staff, that, we were looked after throughout our stay. They made sure we were comfortable from the start to the end of our stay.
Having to say goodbye :(

it is made to provide an adventure type of a holiday where you are surrounded by nature. the staff were really accommodating and nice. very welcoming as well.
this is not a 4 star hotel unfortunately. the room even when closed lets animals in. not the cleanest of experiences. me and my partner got food poisoning on the 3rd day and couldn’t stop throwing up. this wasted 2 whole days of the trip. the area of the hotel is very remote so if you miss a meal you can’t find other restaurants. you can’t order room service. there’s no telephone in the room to call reception. I liked the experience so much being different and very connected to nature but it didn’t meet my expectation of a 4 star accommodation as per my previous bookings on this app. lots of areas for improvements.

beautiful place and amazing facilities. Will recommend it!
the beach wasn’t clean and white. The road to the place is impossible. it was hard to find and really hard to drive to the road there

the location , staff, food , and sense of seclusion.
the bumpy road leading into the resort, it takes away from the total experience.

I am a Traveller, i have been to 30 destinations, but the experience I had at Sevi was the best out of all my experiences.
The staff were so so warm and friendly, they felt like family. Big thanks to Petro, Salloum, the assistant manager and all the amazing team.
The ambiance is very special, you feel you are in jungle/island.
Food taste and varieties (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was so excellent , The chef is outstanding. everyday after each meal I was looking forward to the following meal .
I fell I love with the bathroom amenities, the shower gel and shampoo were exceptional.
I understand that the pool is surrounded by nature, but i would appreciate if it was cleaned more , it was covered with flies, i stayed in another hotel in Zanzibaf and pool had very very few flies compared to Sevi.

The whole resort is nice, peaceful and quiet. Every single person in this hotel was extremely nice. The atmosphere unique.
The wifi. In my bungalow the sign was nearly zero. Only on the veranda I have. Maybe because my bungalow (5) was the last one. The Hotel overall is quite far from everything, so if you want to do anything outside, you will spend hours in taxis (most of them without ac). There is one more thing, which i did get. Why coffee and tea provided but no kettle?

Pefectly located right next to the beach. Probably the best butique hotel in that area of Zanzibar. Calm, tranquil, very private atmosphere. Place to hide from crowds although relatively close to all you need. Very luxury with local taste. Well managed. Great polite staff and good restaurants.
All was good.

The hotel is beautiful, the food is great and the staff is very friendly.
There were lots of seaweeds on the beach.. and it's quite impossible to swim because the water is to shallow.

Great staff - super helpful and always nice. The breakfast was good and the rooms where comfy and fun to stay in.
The rooms don't have real windows. They do have covering over the windows - but there's no real way to shut the window and isolate external noise. When it is crow season it might be a little noisy for light sleepers.

Maybe a bit expensive overall

everything is AMAZING about the hotel except for the beach

Restaurant really good, staff very helpful, environment and decoration with a really good vibe
The Wi-Fi wasn’t the best, but not a huge problem

very relaxing post safari. breakfast excellent and most of menu items for dinner lunch also v good
beach topography means even at high tide east coast Zanzibar not very deep for about 500m so a bit too shallow for swimming … serve sauces separately in dishes as much as possible… raw tuna should not be smothered in ketchup… money wise Sevi is not cheap. And also trade off not being in Stone Town — fun place for bars and restaurants — and even if use inexpensive taxi costs $70 roundtrip.

We thought the staff went above and beyond. The room was cozy and perfect for a couple. The food and drink were both well done in terms of presentation and taste.
