Kids especially loved the pool and cliff diving. We stayed at the north end to stay away from crowds. Beaches were all drivable. Two restaurants walkable one across street and one down by the entrance to cliffs and caves.
The roads were a bit rough and driving took some getting used to, but that was the whole island in general.

The location!! It's in a peaceful location next to the lighthouse. You do get tourists parking about 150m away going on boat trips, and some even take photos of the villa, but it's not intrusive. The views of the sea and Kefalonia from the pool area are stunning. You get amazing sunsets across the sea. The pool is of a decent size, though can be on the cold side, even in July.
The owner's parents live in an annex on the top of the villa and look after it and clean the villa. You wouldn't know they're there because of the way it's designed. At first I wasn't keen on the idea but it's reassuring knowing someone is there when you're not. On arrival they'd left some water, wine and a delicious melon in the fridge for us. One day it rained while we were out and they moved our stuff from the pool area for us.
Taverna Faros is located right across from the entrance but behind some trees. Lovely food served and ideal for when you can't be bothered to venture further away.
The quality of the finish of the villa is very high. Air conditioning is very efficient and lighting is low energy, intuitive. Love the automatic corridor lights. It's so new it smells like a furniture shop and has a fully equipped kitchen.
Overall we had a fantastic stay, and found it thoroughly relaxing. We hired a car for our stay and ventured around the island. The local area is lovely, with small farms and vineyards dotted around. The nearest supermarket is in the harbour down the road but is rather expensive. Head to Alykanas for much better prices.
WiFi showed "internet not available" quite regularly. Being in a poor mobile signal area meant at times no internet. Great if you're wanting to be cut off, not so great when you need to keep in contact with work.
Pool area is really slippy when wet.
The curtains of the master bedroom overlooking the drive are see through when it's dark and the bedroom lights are on.
Shower gel and shampoo in bathrooms is olive oil based. But on back of bottle it says it's made in China which is a shame. Would have been nice to have seen some locally produced products

We were lucky enough to be the first ever guests at this villa and were met by a fantastic host. The villa is situated in the north of the island next to the lighthouse which was perfect not only for uninterrupted views of the ocean so the sunsets were fantastic. It was imacculatly clean with fresh white linen on comfortable beds, comfortable lounge and kitchen area with ample outside seating and a fantastic pool area. It also has a pizza oven and BBQ area which we didn't use but will next time we visit. It is a bit out the way but worth the drive. There are some fantastic restaurants only a 10minute drive away and the boat to shipwreck is on the doorstop. The owner's mother and father stay upstairs but you would not know they are there. Only upon departing did they pop in with a leaving gift. The host who met us was brilliant with recommendations for local restaurants and even went to the supermarket and delivered food to us. A fantastic villa that would be great for a family holiday.
