About this house rental
Close to dance schools & Universal Studios Hollywood! Ugly entrance to a cool pad! Guest entrance is only through ugly alley. Comfortable, jumping-off place to explore L.A.! Centrally located neighborhood. This space is a cool, house within a commercial setting. It is decorated in a 50 modern theme with an eye for minimalism and a sense of openness and multiple hang-out areas.
The living room features an area to relax with a modern Italian design couch and chairs with room to flow and even lay out yoga mats.
Two bedrooms: Both feature queen sized, pillow-top mattress beds equipped with fresh linens, blankets and pillows. Closets with hangers, big mirrors and minimalist fun decorations. there is an inflatable mattress in hallway closet that can be setup in living room. Bedding for the air matress is in the living room ottoman trunk.
The open floor plan connect the living room and kitchen with a small counter lined in reclaimed barn siding wood.
The kitchen offers a large fridge, country style double sink and stove and stailess dishwasher a six person built-in breakfast nook featuring an antique table top and a reclaimed rustic wood column.
Full size front loading washer and dryer just off the kitchen.
The bathroom has the authentic 1940's cast iron tub/ shower, high end fixtures and marble floor. note: the toilet leg room is kinda tight
The brick floor patio with an orange tree shade and a rustic, 8 person outdoor table with Italian chairs and the alley-side parking area.
This is a place to come with friends and family to use as a cozy, fun home base to explore the great city of Los Angeles!
The alley side is sitting between a residential street with trees and a commercial side that is all business.
It's an estimated $800k house that for guests from other cities may not appear so.
it is an old house that is not fully renovated and has some run-down aspects.
When we fully renovate it, it will list at $300 per night instead of the 125-175 it lists for now.
I thought it would be nice to leave it as a more economical alternative for travelers that want a whole house that allows pets.
There is a mixed martial arts studio next door, a trendy hair salon a few doors down, a showbiz industry coffee shop across the street along with a popular Taco place and a yoga studio. This is the real L.A.!

Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped property. Great for a value stay with a nice courtyard to relax in. Close to amenities and a short drive to Universal Studios.

Kitchen skillets were very worn and food stuck to them.

This was a great landing spot for my family of 6 on our trip to visit Universal Studios Hollywood. We didn’t plan on spending much time in the house rather than at the parks but the Hosts had everything my family could think of needing while on the property to be comfortable and happy. I really like that the property had a gate that I could secure my car in- especially at night! Thank you 😎

This place was exactly as described. It is a little odd to only be able to access from back alley, but it was a great reasonably priced place in a convenient location.

Spent the weekend going to universal studios. This property was very close. Tucked in behind an alley way it was a little on the small size for us. Im large person so there was some noticeable inconvenience. First, the driveway is tight to park. We had a midsize svu and it barely fit. So be aware. Bed was not for a big person or was the bathroom. Kids had a fine time and no real complaints. Newer wash/dryer, plenty of sitting room to relax inside or out. Didnt use the inflatable mattress, seemed like too much work, just slept on couch. Its older and little, but Overall nice place for the $$. You get what you pay for, for sure in this situation. Not a bad place, just wasnt for us I think.

The property is older one, but it does have lots of charm and was very comfortable. It was clean and organized, and it has everything for long stay. All we needed was butter, milk, water, and bread to do a little cooking. Everything including appliances and even spices were in the residence. We will definitely consider staying here again, primary because of the location and feeling safe during our visit. Thank you Eric

We were disappointed by the location. Expected it to be in NOHO Arts District or at least a walkable residential neighborhood, but it is in a commercial area. It still probably is a good value for its relatively low rental price for a two bedroom in NOHO. And it was quiet.

Place was ok but no window opening in bedroom not good. Fresh air is necessary.
And worst of all the alarm clock went off at 530AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ruined my nights sleep which was whole reason we stayed there.
People have cell phones , who needs an alarm clock.Especially if it is going to go off unexpectedly

Inexpensive. It "grew" on us.

We rented before remodeling occurred, and got a great rate for a two bedroom, one bath place. The outside courtyard is just lovely to sit and have coffee. The parking is a lil challenging as it’s very tight on both sides, but a smaller car would work well. Street parking was not bad and we availed ourselves of that a couple times.
Kitchen & bath was stocked with the basics, and we appreciated that. Our Host Eric was wonderful and immediately responded to all of our requests. It’s not fancy compared to other places, but also much cheaper than other places and so if you’re looking for a value stay, this is a fantastic choice!
Bonus! Just a three minute walk from our stay takes you to a fabulous juice, bar, a really great patisserie and coffee shop named Moby’s and a Mexican restaurant (all very very good locally owned shops). We had coffee and or juice every morning across the street and it was fabulous!

I liked staying at this property. I felt very safe and I loved the neighborhood. Kind of a small town feeling and within a short drive, I was able to get to everything I needed/wanted. About 2 miles from Universal Studios which is why I was visiting California. I stayed 5 nights. The small/quaint 2 bedroom, house and small patio was perfect for 4 adults. Very peaceful and private. There's an orange tree on the patio which, being from the Chicago suburbs, was neat to see. The only semi-negative feedback I would give is the gate to get into the property and park your car needs some attention but not a major issue.

Great location, close to Universal Studios and not too far from Dodgers Stadium. Very Spacious and owner was very thoughtful in all that was provided to use incase something was forgotten or just plain for our liking. :)

We only stayed there for a night but the house was clean and the instructions on how to get there and where to go in were very easy to follow!

We stayed for our trip to Universal. 4 adults, one couple and two singles. There was a mix up in the listing as far as the number of beds.there was supposed to be 2 beds and a futon, but no futon so one adult got the blow up bed. Bathroom is very small with no fan and dim lighting. We were at the parks most of the time so only there to sleep. Eric was very responsive when told about the futon situation.

At first we were surprised with the location but we were pleasantly surprised with the safety and comfort we experienced. This rental was very clean, quiet, with all
The necessities for anyone who wishes to have a staycation away from your home. The kitchen, the new wood floors? We definitely will go back again. Thank you Eric for your quick response to any questions we had.

Location is a short drive to Universal! Most of our activities we did were within 20-30 minutes (not including traffic) of the house. Cute little coffee shop across the street! The alley can be hard to find, but the owner includes a video in the confirmation emails with instructions to access it. The chore list was also extremely short compared to pretty much every other place I’ve ever stayed at. We were only asked to strip the beds and put linens in the washing machine. Great stay overall!

Great place to stay, especially if you rented a car! I felt comfy and safe. The location is great for getting around.

This property filled our needs. Location is close to where our adult children live in Burbank and Sun Valley. That was very convenient. Walking our dog around the block worked fine. In the house all the appliances worked. There was plenty of hot water. We have nothing negative to say about the property.

I can’t say enough good about this place. It’s cute, not just cheaply appointed like some rentals I’ve been in. But it has style and comfort and homeyness. Location is ideal to get literally anywhere. While at the same time feeling like you’re tucked into a secret garden Eric was gracious, responsive and kind. We extended out stay twice while there. The place was exactly what it said it would be, and I’d recommend this rental to anyone even my mom.

This property offered a very clean and comfortable place for us to stay while traveling with our Lab! She had a spot to go outside as well as a short walk to a great dog park, and we had a very comfortable bed!!!

Perfect spot for a my family of 4 to stay at when visiting Universal Studios. Communication with Eric was great. There’s a full kitchen, and even a washer and dryer. I highly recommend checking out Roscoe’s if you love fried chicken. Great house and great location.

The owner says the property is down an alley. That is true...it also in a scary area - there was gang member's graffiti on the corrugated iron gate we had to use. The photos are carefully showing areas of the property, but not the decrepitude of the house. The front door screen was filthy and the door was peeling paint. The heat pump for the aircon started leaking immediately we turned it on. I had to put a serving bowl under it as a towel wasn't enough. First bowl i took off the shelf had dust/dirt/crumbs in it. Beds are nailed to the floor and curtains are filthy. We stayed only 1 night out of our 4 because we had arrived very late, but left the next morning. We did not contact the owner. Very disappointing.

We had a great time here. Nice place to relax in-between activities. We enjoyed coffee on the patio each morning and even had a bountiful dinner outside on our last night. This place has no glitz or glam but is a comfortable stay. Eric is a great host. We would stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Home was very close to Universal Studios. The entrance to location outside of gate in alley was dirty. There was a pile of trash right next to gate entrance for property. Once you lock yourself inside gate it seemed to feel safe and not so bad. The home was clean and had everything you needed. Eric was quick to answer any questions and to assist you.

Enjoyed our stay. Loved the opportunity to have locked off street parking. Comfortable beds for sure.
A bit more commercial as far as neighborhood than I was expecting but very convenient location. 7 minutes from Burbank Airport. Great communication with manager! Eric was awesome!
