The free breakfast was a plus. The house was in a very nice landscaped neighborhood.
The WiFi didn’t work in the cottage , didn’t stay connected. If we came back to Waxahachie I’d stay there again.

The host was soooo AMAZING, as it turned out, we knew some of the same people so it was fun to talk about our commonalities. The home was EXTREMELY COZY and inviting, I wanted to move in.
We were in town for a funeral, nice distraction from the sadness.

Host met us and showed us to our suite. The turn of the century home is beautiful and comfortable. Mary and Howard anticipated our needs. We were fortunate to run into Tony (he has been a long time employee and friend of Howard and Mary). Tony gave us a grand tour of the house and its rich history. We are looking for reasons to return to the area. Enjoyed an excellent steak and sides at Prime 115. Enjoyed a evening at the Playhouse downtown as well as the evening entertainment at Big Al's.
It was as hot as blue blazes outside (over 100) - the cabin was comfortably cool when we arrived and throughout our stay. There is limited shade in the retail area of downtown.

I must commend the tissues in this accommodation! The premium quality feels like cloth! We slept warmly and can attest that the mattress and pillows were firm.
Some of the things we liked:
- Curtains block light
- No bed bugs or cockroaches
- Super Safe neighbourhood
- Free Parking
- Free breakfast at an amazing cafe 2 mins drive away from the accommodation

love the vintage property & home. lovely
just needed to be swept under the beds, as when turned fan on, it blew dust everywhere 🤧

There were cozy common areas to relax in, and it was fun getting to talk with the other groups staying. We were provided coffee and tea at a self serve area, as well as a breakfast credit to some local cafes.
The parking could be better, I recommend a group come in one car. However there are places to park off the property that are a very short walk away in a safe neighborhood.

We had breakfast at the white rhino and enjoyed it very much. Had dinner at Prime 115 was very good. Our room was very nice with a balcony and great view of the neighborhood. Howard was a great host and very helpful with any thing you needed to know. Would stay there again.

We were given 3 off-site breakfast options. The one we chose was excellent. We stopped on the way out of town so it was not inconvenient.

The house it self was lovely every room guilded with British memorabilia. For such an old house it had very few quirks and still had so much personality.
I wish breakfast was on-site for weekends. Or had credits to the designated locations at the very least.

My sister and I wanted to take a girl's trip out of town for a couple of days and this B&B was perfect. It was so cute, inviting, and comfortable. The temperature in the room was pleasant and the bed was comfy. The decor throughout the house was beautiful.
The only suggestion I can think of is that the door to the bathroom is clear glass in the room we stayed in. The toilet sits behind a wall so that is somewhat private but I would suggest having a curtain inside the bathroom door for privacy when dressing.

The location was excellent; the breakfast was very good.
It was not the fault of the venue, but it was troubling that there was a power blackout during a very hot evening.

The history of the house, and all the historical significance of the decor. Everywhere I looked, there was something to see, enjoy and learn from. Staying at the English Merchant's Inn is an experience not to be missed!
There was nothing to not like. They had thought of everything for your comfort and pleasure.

Gorgeous surprise in the heart of Waxahachie! The breakfast options are genius and makes me feel even better about supporting local businesses. A great take on the "traditional" B&B!

We enjoyed the historical aspect of the Inn. The bathroom was so nice and the bedding was like butter. The breakfast at White Rhino was very good.
There was not one single solitary thing that we didn’t like.

The Inn was lovely and wonderfully decorated. The common rooms and porch were great for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea or a glass of wine. The rooms were comfortably sized, the bed linens sumptuous, and the bathrooms well supplied with fluffy towels, soaps, makeup remover, etc. Howard is an excellent host and we loved hearing how the Inn evolved!
