At the edge of splendid Tuscany, almost on the border with Liguria, a few steps from the sea and the Apennine mountains, surrounded by lush nature, lies THE FARMHOUSE an enchanting holiday home that offers its guests a short break from life daily.
THE FARMHOUSE can sleep up to 9 guests in an oasis of tranquility immersed in a paradise of Mediterranean scents and colours. Located between Lucca and Pisa, two cities rich in history and culture, this holiday home is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the wonders that Tuscany has to offer.
As soon as you cross the threshold of THE FARMHOUSE you are greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interiors are furnished with care and taste, drawing inspiration from local colors and traditions. The walls recall the surrounding nature: outside, centuries-old olive trees, lemons and citrus fruits, colorful flowers that give vitality and joy to the spaces.
The rooms are spacious and bright. The furnishings are simple and comfortable, designed to make guests feel at home but away from it. Every detail has been carefully taken care of, to guarantee an unforgettable experience.
Tuscan cuisine is a true culinary treasure. Here, the traditional flavors of local cuisine mix with fresh, quality ingredients, coming directly from local gardens. Many dishes are prepared with love and passion, following recipes handed down for generations. Guests can enjoy specialties in the village such as Tordelli, Torta di Pizzi, Cecina and much more, accompanied by local wines yet to be discovered by the masses such as Lucca's red Montecarlo or Luni's white Vermentino.
Outside, THE FARMHOUSE is surrounded by a lush garden. The olive, citrus, pine and cypress plants typical of the Tuscan landscape create an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. It is the ideal place to spend pleasant moments in the shade of centuries-old trees, stroll among the scents of flowers and perhaps even enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner on the terrace.
The strategic position of THE FARMHOUSE allows you to easily reach numerous places of interest nearby. Both art and culture lovers, as well as excursions and water sports enthusiasts will find a wide choice of activities to do here. The sandy beaches of Viareggio, Marina di Pietrasanta or Lido di Camaiore and the ancient wonders of Lucca and Pisa are just a few kilometers away.
THE FARMHOUSE amongst perfumes and colors of the Mediterranean, is much more than a simple holiday home: it is a complete experience that embraces body, mind and soul. Here, the warmth of Tuscan hospitality combines with the beauty of nature, creating a unique and magical environment in which to relax and regenerate.

We had a great stay in the old farmhouse. The kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the garden and the big terrasse. The house is old, but very spacious, everything is there, what you need. We loved it absolutely!

Escape to this old farmhouse and enjoy the nature around you
Overall 4.5/5 but it doesn't allow for half points.
The wonderful old farmhouse with its stone steps and brick floors overlooking the nearby hills, from the scent of honeysuckle each time you pass through the door, to the cool rustic kitchen at the rear of the house. The smaller bathroom could do with a bit of an update and neither bathroom has particularly good ventilation even with the skylight. Mosquito count was low. We did not use the room at the top (with the four bed and an outstanding view) but it did feel particularly warm. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms but no air-con. Though I would have to question why would one go to Tuscany on holiday, if not for some warm weather and sunshine!
The terrace is great to relax on and to enjoy the view, though it does get very hot during the day and the dark coloured umbrellas, whilst stopping the light, do not stop the IR heat. The cheap plastic dining furniture is not in keeping with the property at all and deserves to be replaced with something a little more upmarket and comfortable.
The garden area with its loungers under the beautiful trees is a super way to while away an afternoon between dips in the pool.
The pool is big enough for a proper swim and despite being shared, was quiet enough to have it to yourself for periods of the day. It is not illuminated which is a crying shame as an evening swim would've been marvellous with such an eye-catching backdrop.
There are a couple of other properties on site but it is private enough that you will not be bothered by other guests.
The nearby town of Camaiore is walkable but I wouldn't really advise it. The road by the house is narrow and the last 500m or so must be the testing ground for the Mars Lunar Rover such is the poor state of it (both the public section and within the grounds).
It is a nice enough town and we would highly recommed the gelateria in the main square (Gelateria Mondo Goloso) and for a morning coffee and pastry, head to the excellent Lorenzo Pasticceria & Caffè (gets very busy on Sat and Sun mornings). Avoid the "Ristorante Pizzeria Mr. G&B", one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten!
We liked the Candalla waterfalls a 10mn drive, ignore the first pools by the mill and head up higher. Viareggio and wall-to-wall soulless private beaches that go on for miles is awful. Head to Lucca instead and rent bikes to ride atop the amazing city walls.
We would definitely considering returning to this property and area again!

I proprietari sempre super disponibili e gentili.

Favoloso soggiorno all'insegna del relax

Permanenza molto positiva, tutto pulito e organizzazione ottima. CONSIGLIATO !

Summer Holiday 2019
We a family of eight and a dog very much enjoyed our stay in the farmhouse. The location of the house is fantastic. Not only regarding the view but also the distance to the village (however, we took our car since the way to the house is quite steep). We liked the charm of the old house and of course the fantastic pool. Our expectation have been exceeded. We liked excursions e.g. to Lucca, Pisa, the beach, but also the small villages which are nearby. The written instructions of Stefano and Margherita were very helpful. We recommend to do the walking tour No 1 in the folder. We fell in love with the landscape and people in Toscana. The atmosphere on a market square in the morning or in the evening is wonderful. Thank you for wonderful two weeks.

The Farmhouse seems quite 'rustic' on first impressions but is well equipped, comfortable enough and does have a simple charm to it. There is a nice patio in front of the 'Manor House' and the 'Farmhouse' so you do have plenty of private space and somewhere to have meals. The 'Farmhouse' also has it's own little terrace garden area. Each of the properties have allocated garden furniture so you don't need to worry about getting space near the pool. The patio has shade in the mornings and evenings, with a large parasol for the middle of the day. Although very warm in the daytime, the evenings cooled down and we had very comfortable nights sleep.
The pool is actually saltwater which I was a bit unsure of, however, it is the nicest pool used. The view over the valley is lovely and the properties are surrounded by simple yet nicely maintained gardens, so there is plenty of space if you need it.
The owner (Stafano) was happy to answer our pre-booking questions and also provided us with an additional fan as we were concerned about the heat. Vittoria, who looks after the property, speaks very little English but we managed to understand each other and she always there to help us out if we needed it. She visits the property twice a day, watering the plants, cleaning the sun-loungers, checking the pool, looking after the garden and generally tidying up. The water did stop one day but Vittoria quickly contacted the town and arranged for us to have a supply of drinking water.
In the area - Camaiore is within walking distance (but bring your torch for the way back) and actually has a reasonable amount of restaurants and
bars. Although there is a supermarket, it's quite small and parking can be a bit tricky but there are a number of better supermarkets near Pietrasanta. Actually Pietrasanta is a 15 minute drive but comes alive at night and well worth discovering early on. Viareggio was absolutely not my kind of place at all.
A car is necessary. You can get to Pisa and Lucca within half an hour. (We hired a 4 seater bike to pedal around Lucca city walls which was fun for the kids!). Florence and Cinque Terre Riviera are about 1.5 hrs away. Just be aware that the road up to the property is quite narrow so you will need to prepare yourself for some tight manoeuvres should you meet some other cars.
Overall we enjoyed the place. It's ideal as a base for exploring the surrounding area, or just for relaxing. We would certainly consider coming back again.

Beautiful location and authentic rustic farmhouse with excellent pool
Excellent relaxing break in rural setting. Pool is excellent with stunning views. Owners attentive and helpful and Vittoria very helpful day to day. The steep, narrow, winding access road (typical in such places) can be a challenge for drivers, however, and walking in and out of Camaoire is not really practical. Good base for exploring surrounding area by car

We spent a beautiful week in the holiday house. It has lots of space and is well equipped. Only the internet connection was sometimes a bit weak. The terrace is a place to enjoy and the pool a dream. It was the kids favourite. Especially the view is amazing. It is as if you were swimming directly into the mountains. Camaiore is a good place to start your daytrips from. We went to Pisa, Lucca,Livorno, Viareggio and Firenze. With every destination being an one hour or less drive away. The landscape is lovely and the people very friendly. Coming back to the house after the daytrips was very relaxing. Enjoy.

Lovely family holiday in comfortable farmhouse
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week. Despite being early August we were lucky enough to be able to book our week starting on a Tuesday rather than the weekend. The farmhouse has a great position within the estate directly overlooking the pool and great views towards the sea. The patio is a good size and the 3 sunloungers plus deckchair designated to the house (above the sunloungers for the other houses). The main bedroom was large and

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Polletta with its perfect location, pool and rural charm along with all things we love about Camaiore and Tuscany/Italy in general. The house was fully equipped throughout and our expectations were truly exceeded!
But for a few overcast days (but still warm) the weather was great. Very
hot in the first week and a bit cooler in the second week. It was exquisite
to take a refreshing dip the the lovely pool floating around with the
amazing views of the surrounding hills.
Vittoria was really helpful and always a pleasure to chat to about our
holiday as well as answer some our our questions. It was sad to say goodbye
on our last day!
Once again we had a great stay and have lasting memories to keep us warm during the winter months!

Italienischer Charme in wundervoller Lage

What a fantastic property. We arrived on a beautiful day. We were met by Victoria who showed us round the house. Over the last 15 years we have visited probably 30 different properties in France, Spain and Italy. La Poletta is probably one of only 3 0r 4 we would give 5 stars to.
The setting is fantastic, with Orange, Lemon and Apricot trees in full bloom all around the house. Everything in and around the house was spotlessly clean and of really good quality. The outside eating area with its' two huge parasols made al fresco dining a pleasure. The pool was likewise beautifully kept and with ample loungers and deck chairs. The kitchen had everything you could wish for and the cooker was clean enough to pass for new.
During our stay we visited Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Massa and the beach at Lido Di Camaiore. Pisa, an easy drive was fantastic. You can book your visit to the tower in advance and show the barcode on your phone. Even 200 metres from the tower two dollops of fantastic Italian ice cream cost only 2 Euros. Lucca was equally enchanting and Florence a must see. Eating out both locally and further afield was equally good value. A large individual Pizza cost us no more than 6 Euros. I am sure you could pay more if you wish, equally, you could pay less.
I am slightly ashamed to say that we spent at least 5 days of our two weeks doing nothing more than relaxing by the pool, reading, taking dips in the pool, and watching our children have a fantastic time. We also had a day at the beach at Lido di Camaiore where the beach shelves gently and wasn't too busy. We drove to La Spezia and took a boat trip around the Cinque Terre. This was enchanting, even our teenage children were impressed and is not to be missed. Our final trip was to a waterpark at Cecina, just south of Pisa. Great fun, queues we could live with and reasonably priced fast food.
La Poletta is very nearly perfect. It provided us and our 6 children with the perfect mixture of relaxation, fun and sightseeing and my wife and I can honestly recommend any of the properties on the site to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this part of Italy. Would love to return here.

The Farmhouse - La Polletta
This wonderful house located in the beautiful green hills of Camaiore was our home for one week, we were 8 persons with various expectations, as always when you are visiting a place for the first time and all you have in your mind are the pictures from the web and the information that you got from the owner. Now after one week we can only say that this is a fantastic house that over performed our expectations. Its very charm fully furnished, with lovely light and airy bedrooms and extremely comfortable beds, one big and one small bathroom with toilets and showers, a charm full living room and an impressive well equipped kitchen.
The wonderful big terrace surrounded with orange and citrus trees, the green mountains with the ocean in the background and the smell of the jasmine became our favorite place for breakfast and dinner as the pool area became our youth’s favorite.
During our stay we explored some of the beautiful places that Tuscany has to offer for example: Pisa, Firenze, Viareggio and the surroundings around Lucca. Two of the cities in Cinque Terre were also visited and we all enjoyed the fantastic feeling to take a relaxing swim in the pool after a long day of walking and absorbing all new feelings and memories.
Thank you Stefano and Margheritha for giving us the opportunity to rent your wonderful house and for sharing this beautiful part of Tuscany with us and a specific warm thank you to Vittoria for all help and support during our stay.
