This is a fabulous home. The design and features are awesome! It is a quiet location with easy access and a great deck, fire pit, roof deck and well organized kitchen among the highlights. It was a joy to stay at this home while we hiked for 4 days at Capitol Reef. We highly recommend this home!

A beautiful property tucked away from nearby neighbors. The bed was comfy, the home very clean with lovely touches. The rooftop views were gorgeous and we enjoyed stargazing at night. The large driveway and access to the garage was a nice bonus. We saw deer and a black-tailed jackrabbit roaming the property. Excellent experience!

The Steel House was a comfortable, beautiful, and romantic place to spend time in this inspiring part of Utah. Secluded, expansive views, well-appointed, and thoughtfully arranged, this was one of our best experiences while traveling to date.

We loved our stay and took advantage of the sunrises/sunsets on the rooftop deck! The fire pit was very relaxing and we had a great BBQ. It was removed enough from the main town to have plenty of peace and quiet yet not too far away from everything. We would highly recommend this VRBO to everyone!

We really enjoyed having this lovely home in a peaceful setting for our home base this week.

The house is conveniently located near the park, which made it a great base for our day hiking. The house was quiet and in the middle of nature. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great when we were there, so we were unable to enjoy the rooftop deck. I hate to even mention this, as I don't go on vacation to watch TV, but the house has one very small smart TV located in the MBR. Given the weather, it would have been nice to have a more comfortable place to watch TV in the evening.

Loved staying at this property
In fact, within a couple of hours of arrival we had contacted the owner to extend our stay
Very relaxing and comfortable home
Lots of amenities - including rooftop, firepit and luxury bath.
Great position to explore Capital Reef - also highly recommended.
We even had deer visit on our last morning.
The only reason we wouldn't return is that we live nearly 8000 miles away!
Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful and modern house in a private and rather spectacular setting out on the mesa. The bedrooms and baths are at opposite ends of the house, ensuring privacy for two couples. The kitchen was well-equipped for two determined cooks. Highly recommended.

We simply could not have chosen a better place to stay for our last leg of our 2 week Utah trip. From the moment we walked in the door, this gorgeous contemporary home filled us with a sense of peace and comfort. The setting just added to that feeling. We could have easily come to the Capitol Reef area and never made it to the park because we were just so darn comfortable here. Stargazing and sunrise watching bookended each day. We happily prepared meals in the well equipped kitchen. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, we would return here in a nanosecond.

This is an outstanding property. For what we were looking for, this was an ideal match. Restful, well-appointed, not close to other houses and with nice views.

The house, property, and location were utterly relaxing for my husband and me. We watched a herd of deer move through the land mornings and one evening. The rooftop patio is a beautiful place to enjoy the view. The short drive to Capital Reef was ideal because our main focus was hiking.

Beautiful home close to the park. Very modern and clean and far enough in the country to see the Milky Way at night. Highly recommended.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the unique “Steel House.” It is located in a fabulous setting, close to the National Park, but with privacy and quiet. Very clean and comfortable with lots of supplies, well equipped kitchen, and lots of storage. Communication and access was easy. We appreciated having the use of the garage, too. We especially enjoyed the roof top deck for star gazing in this “dark sky” community.
Phyliss gave us a great suggestion to use Sleeping Rainbow Adventures for a jeep tour. However, they ended up contracting with Jason of Waterpocket Adventure Company. We had a fabulous day exploring Cathedral Valley with him. Capitol Reef National Park is an undiscovered National Park well worth visiting.

Wonderful home with the perfect location for exploring Capitol Reef. We visited during some very hot days so it was a nice surprise to be able to park inside the garage, not normally offered in a rental. Roof top deck was incredible, especially for sunrise. Even in hot weather the backyard got afternoon shade making it comfortable to sit outside, use the grill, etc. Only complaint would be the photos posted don’t capture how great this house really was.

This place is amazing. I would say to anyone that wants to go relax or see the wonderful towns or mountains around it to go check this home out. short drive to capital reef and great fishing at some lakes on boulder mountain or the Fremont river. Sit by the fire and have some coffee also great restaurants. Such a great stay and a beautiful property. We will stay again .

Another wonderful retreat
This is the second time we have stayed at this home and we love it! Secluded, quiet, great views, a work of art in its own right, and close to things to do if you choose, but a nice place to relax and recharge. We will be coming back soon.

Great stay in Capitol Reef area
The best VRBO place we have stayed at. Great house and location, well equipped and stocked, Kathy is very responsive and a good source for local information.

Beautiful and remote location
Great location for enjoying the park. The house was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed for making dinners which was nice. There was information on dining as well as other spots to visit and a drawer full of maps and other info for hiking. We hiked almost every day and didn’t begin to get to them all! If we come back to this area we would definitely rent here again!

Beautiful and Quite Location!
Absolutely loved our stay here! From the fire pit to the star gazing and music playing through the house. Close the Capitol Reef and ATV/motorcycle riding at Caineville. So much close by to do outdoors! The home has everything you need! Would definitely stay again thanks!

Beautiful home in Teasdale
We loved everything about this home. Very stylish and design conscious, yet comfortable. Amazing views through the floor to ceiling windows, rooftop deck for sunset cocktails, wild, yet curated landscaping and a well organized and modern kitchen.
I haven't seen such star filled skies for a long, long time. We enjoyed exploring the local hikes and petroglyphs in addition to the outstanding Capital Reef NP.
We hope to return someday!

Nice place. Could be a bit cleaner
The home was very nice overall. Our suggestion for a slight improvement would be the level of cleaning. We noticed quite a number of stray hairs from previous guests, such as on the couch pillows, in corners of rooms, and so forth. Using a vacuum to hit the main traffic ways may not be enough to provide the level of cleaning preferred. Something like a swiffer duster would be helpful. Be aware that the home is relatively close to the Teasdale road, thus traffic sounds could be heard from time to time, but nothing overbearing. The views from the rooftop deck were quite relaxing and we enjoyed the deer moving through the area in the mornings especially.

Modern, stylish, private
A well-equipped, modern, minimalist home In a beautiful, private location. Hard to find a nicer place this close to Capitol Reef NP!

Day hikes, night stars
Great house, remote enough to see the night sky, but close to Capitol Reef and the Grand Staircase Escalante is 90 minutes away. Kathy was very helpful - good dining suggestions and on things to see. We plan on coming back.

Modern Teasdale Getaway
The Steel House is a modern home with the luxury amenities you would expect to find in a larger urban environment, but step outside and you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Teasdale. The rooftop seating area provides the ideal spot for stargazing (virtually no light pollution). Open the glass doors to the deck with fire pit and the house feels like it's part of the natural environment. Amazing location and home - we will be back!

This house is better than the pictures! Everything was perfect and the area is just spectacular.
We highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay near Capital Reef. The night sky was amazing, saw the Milky Way from the rooftop. The fire pit and sitting area outside was great. Home was comfortable in every way.

Teasdale Delite
A great rental near numerous national parks. Is even more roomy than pictures depict. All amenities top notch. Modern design in a rustic setting. Minor request: Outdoor table for dining. Roof deck is wonderful for start gazing; I was there during the Persieds Meteor shower, and the house is close to being in a class-A dark sky area. If you are gong to be in the area for 3 or more days, why rent a hotel room? Great value, and communication from host.

Peaceful retreat
After spending the week with tons of people at Zion and Bryce, this was a welcome tranquil change. The home was quiet, peaceful, as described and very clean. My communication with the manager was easy. This is a convenient home base for Capitol Reef. The home was well stocked and full of suggestions for local hikes and dinner. We also loved driving scenic highway 12 as well. We would have loved to stay longer!

We loved staying at the Steel House. It was a beautiful property that felt private and secluded. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. And the location was perfect, within easy driving distance of Capitol Reef National Park, grocery store, and good restaurants. We did not want to leave.

Wonderful Retreat in Teasdale
This is an absolute gem! We wanted a quiet getaway and this house was perfect. Amazing views, beautiful and unique home, and solitude were the keystones to this great house. Almost hesitate to share because once discovered, this will be booked far in advance. We will be back, hopefully often.

Great
Everything great. Kathy was very helpful. Outdoor sitting area on the east side of the house and trees block the wind. Nice for afternoon BBQ. Only minus, sofa is not comfortable, but we didn't use it much. EVERYTHING else perfect.
