Nice stylish room, great location.
It is above a pub! Didn’t realise when I booked maybe I didn’t read it. Was loud until about 11pm

Nice location. Room was clean.
Shared bathroom which wasn’t that clean and was a weird layout that didn’t feel very private. Also no soap and no place to put your stuff while you’re in the shower.
Uncomfortable mattress.

Terrific location, right in the middle of town. The room seemed newly renovated. I was able to walk out of my room straight onto the balcony.
The shared bathroom could have had a bit more privacy.

The location
Noisy, dreadful shared bathroom, ran out of toilet paper and couldn’t find any staff, doors slamming until very late at night, towels provided were well past use by date and no television. Would not recommend . Not even back packer standard

Great location, esp being a long weekend so close to all festivities, fishing, walks
We'd never experienced communal bathroom/ toilet facilities, but was no cause for concern...it all worked fine

welcoming staff, great room
Ok so it is a shared bathroom but to be expected if you want the traditional Aussie pub stay experience

We didn't like the room we were first allocated as it had no en suite or TV. But the room we were then given was excellent.

I realise it was pub accommodation, but definitely over price in comparison to motel.
I was woken up during the night by slamming door about 10 times obviously no one lives on site. I think I may have been family one staying there that night

Not much.
arrived late at 9PM and would have been locked out of the place if i had been 10 mins more. small room, shared facilities. No breakfast, no chance of any food on arrival. Town had virtually shut down.

we booked a dorm but the hotel doesn’t have any dorm room. we booked this hotel because the price was attractive but finally we ended up finding another accommodation and paid double.

location
the barman in the public bar had the personality of a wet fish

We did not stay at the premises. I booked three rooms two days in advance. One of the rooms was for a very elderly aunt who could not climb stairs and would need an elevator and a shower in the room, as opposed to a bath. I asked these questions of the hotel at the time of booking but received no reply. It was only when we arrived that the barman stated that the manager had been trying to contact me to advise that there was no elevator and no showers.
I did not receive any communications. The barman went twice to ask the manager to come and speak with me. The manager did not appear and so we left and had to source alternative accommodation.

Straight from concert to bed!
There was a giant cricket in the sink and giant bus in the room… but a very clean room albeit!

Helpful, friendly staff and comfortable beds!
A bit pricey for a room with shared bathroom facilities.

The location was ideal for the reason we were visiting Port Fairy, Whilst there was no parking area available at the accommodation we did manage to find parking within easy walking distance of the Hotel. We enjoyed the evening meals we had at the restauarant attached to the hotel. No breakfast available but we were able to eat at a cafe opposite the Hotel.
For the price per night we paid for a double bed and bunk bed, the family room we shared was very small for two people and there was very little space to move around. There was no bar fridge and as one person had to refrigerate medications that was a problem. There was no ironing facilities and when an enquiry was made at the front Bar as to where we could iron some clothes, we we told by the bar staff that they weren't responsible for the rooms upstairs! No information was given as to who we should speak to. Of major concern was the shared bathroom facilities. In the female bathroom, the door to the second shower cubicle would not shut properly so water from the shower flowed out onto and pooled on the floor which became a hazard when someone walked into the bathroom. It was like that for most of the day. Usually there is a hairdryer supplied but on this occasion none. Only one shower cubicle had a soap dispenser attached to the wall.
I hate giving negative comments but on this occasion I feel it necessary.

Nice location, comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Shared bathroom. The outside wraparound balcony could have been a nightmare if there had been noisy people outside late at night - luckily there weren’t!

Location and staff and good food and beer.
No en suite bathroom and toilet which meant walking down the corridor to a men or ladies toilet and shower. 2 toilets and 2 shower cubicles for each gender for about 6 double rooms. Quite basic. There was a sink in our room ..
